Definitely one of the best bagel joints in the Boston area. I'm almost 50 years old and been going there since I was a kid. Home of the pizza bagel and one of the best bagel dogs I've ever had. The only time I've ever been disappointed was if they sold out on egg bagels before I got there. Here Is a picture of the bagel dog I just devoured I couldn't resist couldn't wait till I got home

Amazing! There are very few Jewish bakeries in the Boston area to get a REAL bagel. This is THE place! Katz is the real deal. The bagels and spreads are amazing. Taste like a bagel should taste! Now I need an excuse to go to Chelsea so I can stop at Katz again! A family owned business — there’s no surprise they’ve been around for generations.

Katz is hands down the best bagels you're ever going to get. Better than any place in NY. You don't even need to toast then either. Their cream cheese is not too shabby either.

Plus they have great pizza bagels and bagel dogs. Gotta have a bagel dog with mustard at least once in your life.

Hands down the best bagels around. The pizza bagels should be referred to as one of the wonders of the world. These aren't the crappy things from the TV commercials with a catchy [but true] jingle, these will have you reconsidering the meaning of life. These pizza bagels are great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late night snack. I've supplied many a drunk friend with these and nothing helps prevent (or cure) a hangover quite like a Katz pizza bagel.

Let's not forget about the bagel dog. Delicious hot dog wrapped in a bagel, what's not to love?

The guys at the bakery are nice but they're busy changing the world one bagel at a time so they may be a little short and to the point sometimes. Don't take offense to this, just tell them what you want, pay, then go home (or to your car) and enjoy the best bagel you've ever had.

It's also recommended if you have a large enough order - especially of pizza bagels - to call ahead. It's a popular item and if they don't have the quantity you want on hand, they'll get a new batch going for you and have them ready by the time you arrive.

You can't beat Katz for great bagels. Chewy but not too dense, this is our go to place for awesome bagels. They always have chive cream cheese on hand and don't forget to grab a bagel pizza or three (also the best around). Just a note, this is a grab and go establishment.

These are truly the best bagels in Boston.

The only downside is that they do not toast bagels, so you’ll have to get them while their hot.

As a New Yorker this place is a welcome find in MA. Their salt bagel is unmatched to any others I have tried in my 16 yrs of living up here.

Have alternate flavor options as they are often sold out of different bagels. Their everything bagel is great too as well as their house made cream cheese.

I have also tried their pizza bagels and blueberry bagel. Both very good. Love this place!

The only real pizza bagels around! Absolutely delicious! I grew up on their pizza bagels, bagels, and cream cheese. I will go way out of my way when I need my fix for special occasions or game nights.

These are how bagels should be done: Crisp exterior with some toothiness to it, and a soft, chewy middle. I ordered garlic bagels, and the garlic was on both sides. Too often, garlic is only on one side, and it is like you are eating two different bagels: One flavored, the other plain. Jeremy Katz was extremely helpful.

Katz bagel is a must try!! First time visiting Chelsea, the air BNB is across the street. I had never hear of and egg before, bought one toasted it, and no joke, this was the best bagel I've ever had. Before I leave Chelsea I will be getting more. Now how do I get these bagels in Canada! 😀

Great bagel bakery. The guy working there offered me a plastic knife so I could spread some cream cheese on one for my drive home. Parking is iffy.

Good bagels, small in size, skimpy on toppings, though good. Great cream cheese, prices are low. Guy who was there in the morning was pleasant, without surliness. I think they make their pizza bagels ahead of time because it came out very fast and was only lukewarm. Baked goods are fine, whoopie pie not enough filling, way too disproportionate. One reason not to come here is that it is out of the way for many, not that convenient. But the bagels are good.

So exciting to finally find an old school bagel shop in the Boston area! Katz is the real deal. The Pizza bagels are delicious - they remind me of the “Greek pizza” you see at many local pizzerias. The hot dog rolls were another treat, and the regular bagels were on point too. The shop has a quintessential old school Boston charm to it - I’ll definitely be back.

This place has been the Best for years! Whatever you get, bagels and cream cheese, or a half moon, bagel dog, or pizza. NEVER DISAPPOINTED!
