Amazing Pizza, Amazing Service, Amazing Everything:

I had the pleasure of being served by Havana and she gave us amazing food recommendations along with drinks, compliments, and short conversation. The only way I could describe the energy inside the place is homey. I felt completely at peace waiting for my meal and it all came out coursed perfectly and timely.

Amazing service and quality of food. I usually don’t like pizza but here it’s a cozy and comforting meal. Aniyah our waitress was great and gave us many drink refills on the house with permission. Everyone here is super nice and welcoming even with no reservations. Great pizza joint and more.

Great Detroit style pizza! Fun menu and good vegetarian options

Wow! First time here and food and service was great! Cameron welcomed us with top notch service and attention, and made great recommendations. Ordered the Colony pizza and it was hot, cheesy, and the sauce was tangy. Banana pudding was rich in flavor. Definitely coming back to try the MVP pizza and others.

Hostess was very friendly! A little pricey but food was good. Pizza was not hot considering the long wait time. Table layout not set for multiple people. Not overly crowded so we put food on the table next to us. Deep dish square pizza. Red sauce and white pizza options. Blender was down so couldn't order frozen margaritas.

Staying in DC for a few days, looking for good pizza. Found great pizza at Emmy Squared. I don't know if it's the best pizza in DC but if you're into Detroit style, this is it. The size is perfect for 2 for a quick lunch. The staff was friendly and their classic pizza at the time (8/2022) was 30% off on Wednesdays. Five f*****g stars!

Popped in for a quick, light lunch with two friends at this new establishment in Shaw and found the pizzas we ordered quite impressive. Loved the crust and the sauce was also nice. Between the three of us, we ordered two pizzas and one appetizer and had more than enough food to satisfy our cravings. The servers were all very friendly and checked in on us from time to time but were never intrusive. Am looking forward to going back and trying other selections on the menu.

I was very impressed with the drinks, appetizer, and pizza at Emmy Squared Pizza. Everything was distinct, fresh, and amazingly good. The pizza was truly out of this world. They have an amazing pizza menu with mind-blowingly good combinations!! I will definitely be back!

We got gluten free dough for two pizzas, the mushroom and margherita pizza. My god these were good. I personally do not go for gluten free items, but my friend with me could not handle gluten. We both agreed that this was the best gluten free dough on a pizza we'd ever had. Really did not expect it.

Planned an intimate surprise gathering for our friend from Detroit’s birthday. From the beginning the manager, CJ, was outstanding. He allowed us to pick up our order 3 hours early prior to opening. Not only was it ready on time, he also helped me take the items to the my vehicle.

I am not normally not a pizza fan but THIS food was amazing. We couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. The Cheesy Garlic Sticks were the best I ever had. The crowd favorites were the EC Shaw (seasoned fried chicken was superb) and the Angel Pie.

Between the service and quality of food, there is no doubt they have my business going forward.

Favorite pizza in the city, hands down. I ordered Emmy Squared for an event I hosted and it was an absolute hit. On top of that, everyone at Emmy Squared--from the manager who took my order to the delivery driver--was super communicative and professional. I will be sure to book them again for another event soon.

Yummy pizza! I love pizza and usually go for New York style. Good to mix it up every once in a while with this deep dish. I had the Roni Supreme and enjoyed it. Could have used a few more ronis considering it’s called supreme but tasty anyway!

We had a great time eating at Emmy Squared at their outdoor patio. There's only three tables out there so be sure to book in advance if you want outdoor seating.

I had the EC Shaw Pizza and the Chopped Cheese Fries. Both were delicious. The pizza was a great combination of typical ingredients on a barbeque pizza but combined with blue cheese and served detroit pizza style. The fries were also great. They do put a lot of sauce on the chopped cheese fries so just scrape off if it's too much.

The pizza does take a little time to prepare but it came out tasting very fresh. And the pizza is enough to serve two.

We decided (party of 4) to give this place a try (based solely on reviews) for an early dinner leading up to a concert at a nearby venue. We arrived a little early and were seated right away (Friday afternoon around 330pm). The lack of a crowd was a little concerning when we first arrived, but our server, Anaya (spelling?) was fantastic! She was pleasant, polite, and attentive. I accidentally ordered a non-alcoholic beer and told her - she eagerly switched it out for me and replaced my flat fountain soda with a can. She was apologetic and quick to correct the issues. The food was AMAZING. We had a couple varieties of pizza, the fries, some mozzarella sticks, and some salad - and it ALL was outrageously good! Great server, great food, nice atmosphere, little pricey - but to be expected in DC! Highly recommend the restaurant and server! We'll definitely visit again!

This place was amazing!! The crust was nice and crispy and the flavors were there! We were not disappointed and we will be back. We ordered the Angel and the MVP.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I've been twice in one week (don't judge me y'all). So far I've had the Colony and Roni Supreme pizzas. The crust. The sauce. The heat. The sweet. Just good y'all. I also tried the fried pizza crust with the butter cream dipping sauce dessert (what did I say, no judging) I ran into the manager while picking up my to-go order today and she noticed that I didn't receive my 20% off and adjusted my order - I thought that was nice of her. You can also support their back-to-drive and help kids with getting needed school supplies. How thoughtful. I highly recommend this spot when you're in the Shaw neighborhood. Or just go, it's worth it.

We ordered the MVP and Big Hawaiian. The crust, sauce, and toppings had the perfect texture and level of seasoning. Without a doubt, this place has one of the best pizzas in DC.

We also had the pleasure of being served by Aniyah, whose attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our evening more memorable.

We have ordered, garlic sticks, hot chicken and margerita. We liked all of them, they were good, the hospitality was good, ambience was cozy , there was a bit of a waiting time on pizzas apart from that we liked all of it

Everything about this pizza is exactly what we (my husband and I) were looking for, as traveling visitors to DC! You'll fall in love with the burst of flavors and the delicious crunch of the perfectly baked crust. Also, our server Tenny was so personable and really made for a memorable night! :) she genuinely wanted to get to know us, not something you always experience in a big city. For those in the DMV that miss the taste of Buddy’s Pizza in Detroit, it doesn’t get much better than this! Ordered on Postmates and followed the reheat instructions and it tasted great. Can’t wait to visit in person soon. Everything was delicious!
