The soft serve is the best I've had. They offer dipped in chocolate , chocolate peanut butter or cherry . Two line's, one for ice cream and one for food. The line goes fast.

Follow the locals and you, too, can have a fresh and tasty meal with views like this!

Place your order at the window out front with the friendly, helpful staff. Then head around back to find a table with a wonderful view of the Menemsha Basin. They also do an awesome business with their soft serve ice cream.

Worth trying if you are not a seafood lover, has plenty of good options (chicken, hotdog, burgers,..etc) … we tried the cheese burger and we loved it (almost 10 dollars each), u can add fries but with extra charge. We got Ice-cream with hot chocolate fudge and it was delicious. There is an indoor seating area (not really big) but the view is amazing. Its mainly take-out. Worth trying. 6 mins walking from the port.

Seasonal and super cute spot down on the water for chowder, lobster rolls, ice cream and more. Open 11-3 daily in season. Staff were super friendly and service was pretty quick even though the line was 10-15 minutes to wait and order. No matter though given the views all around! The lobster 🦞 roll was perfection with just the right touch of mayo.

The Menemsha Galley is exactly what you would expect from a walk up eatery in a small fishing village. Beautiful views from the back porch (try to sit on the benches to the left), and food done just right. If you're looking for gourmet, head to Edgartown to be charged more. If what you want is a quick lunch that's tasty, with fishing village atmosphere and well priced (for MV), this is your spot!

Had an amazing day in Menemsha. The beach is worth the drive and hike to. I def recommend spending the day here!!! A must see while on island! ❤

Great lobster roll! Walk around the back & grab a seat on the patio

This is an amazing restaurant and a real staple of Chilmark. I have been getting the same order of fries and a fish sandwich here for 13 years and have yet to be disappointed by it. Would highly recommend!!!

They’re really great about my gluten allergy and they change their gloves and clean the machine and get fresh forks that don’t have gluten which I hadn’t thought of. The ice cream is good and the view is spectacular. We used to sit on the rocks growing up so this is a long time place to get ice cream.

Do yourself a favor and grab a burger with fries, sit on the porch and let the scenery wash your worries away. Bonus points if you grab a soft-serve swirl with peanutbutter crackle and walk down the dock

Simply the best fried fish sandwich I have ever had. I hear that the crabcakes are awesome too.

A tradition dating back decades. Simple yet good food that you order from the window. You can eat out on their back deck or take it with you to the beach. Chowder, fish sandwiches, lobster roll, cheese burgers all great. Ice cream is good too. Ice cream frappes are excellent. Scenic back porch to watch boats and sealife. Limited parking. Watch for celebrities in line behind you.

I used to go to this place all the time when I lived on island. The burgers are just awesome, as well as the fries and shakes. The lobster roll isn’t too bad. The fish sandwich is a must! The price for the lobster roll is in-line with all the others around on the island (meaning a tad overpriced), but man, we used to love to go and sit on the back porch, and watch the boats coming into the harbor, as well as stare in fascination at what appears to be a little house half over land, half over water, on the left, as seen from the back deck- that looks to be simply filled with junk and maybe some antiques. Looks abandoned! I always wanted to buy it and clean it up, so I could live there! Just an FYI, Grace Church in Vineyard Haven is the place to get your lobster rolls, on Friday evenings!

I love the Galley! I've never been there for lunch or any meal but have enjoyed their ice cream ever since I've been coming to the Vineyard. It's a popular spot among our family and our friends.

Adorable little harbor side snack bar. Great chowder, good chicken fingers, and the porch dining view is a delight.

I had the swordfish it was very good. My friend had the cod also very good. We sat on the back deck we had a beautiful view of the harbor

I’ve been coming to the Vineyard for 10 years and just found this place. We had four adults and two kids with very different palettes and we all walked away happy. I will dream of that swordfish sandwich all year long.
