The Aquinnah Shop Restaurant

Nice place with an incredible view. Outdoor and indoor seating. Watch out for the seagulls! For a place that from the outside looks like a diner in the middle of nowhere, the food was really good! The fried calamari was very good. My wife ordered the lobster mashed side as her meal and she loved it. I got the chicken piccata. It was pretty good but could have used more mashed potatoes. They were swimming in liquid. If you like lemon flavor, this is the dish for you. The service was good. The waitress was nice and helpful. The view alone is worth the trip out there. I would go again.

Had a celebratory dinner here with friends while vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard. This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B we were staying at and we were not disappointed! The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the street but the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the sunset view was, as described, “the most beautiful on the island.” Definitely save room for a slice of the homemade pie for dessert!

The food was absolutely delicous!! We had the Aquinnah by the Sea dish which is seared sea scallops with shrimp and lobster meat with asparagus and split cherry tomatoes in a wine and seafood cream sauce over linguini as well as the seard cod with corn chowder and bacon with roasted red bliss potatoes for dinner. For desert was a chocolate cream pie with whipped cream and an BlackBerry and peach pie. Both were so tasty we wanted some extra to go , but unfortunately they dont do take out. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Even though it was crazy busy there. The views of the sunset was amazing. Plus the area pics of the lighthouse and the moon glow over the water was great. We'll definitely be going back. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy delicous food with an amazing view.

A surprising find! Tuna tacos were smashing, the spicy fries a nice complement. The vegetable skewers generous, colorful and health-giving. The view was amazing (staff will happily throw up an umbrella to give some welcome shade). And the blubbery and toasted coconut ice cream flavors were a delightful finish!

It's easy to miss this gem of a place. The food is nothing fancy, but the view is absolutely spectacular, and well worth driving to the south side of the island. Seriously.

Good food, a little pricey, but there's not much else out here for options. Great view while you eat. At this time, there are no servers - you order at a window and then pick up your food and sit inside or out. Nice people!

The lobster roll was delicious! Perfectly seasoned. The beet salad was HUGE. The views were iconic. Everyone was so kind and the service was excellent. I will definitely be recommending this place.

Amazing views...great food ....excellent service

Beautiful views, lovely staff and absolutely delicious food. The Haddock was incredible! My husband had the swordfish and said it was cooked perfectly. Pricey, but worth it

I had the fish and chips, the fish was fresh and the French fries were amazing!

We got there as the doors opened and were seated at a great table by the windows. The deck was closed due to wind. We had a tuna burger, fish sandwich, and turkey blt, all were amazing and enormous! The turker burger was nicely seasoned and cooked mid rare, perfect!! Great food, and crazy gorgeous views!

Excellent food, service. Amazing sunset views. Raking is an issue limited near the restaurant. Additional parking some distance away. Difficult to maneuver in the dark. Would suggest perhaps valet parking in the far lot? I’m sure people would pay for it.

Such a Vineyard treasure!
It is so very refreshing to enjoy such fantastic food with quite a stunning view. A wonderful mix of options on the menu with local favorites and delicious sauces.

Best view on the planet. The food and service were very good, too! Highly recommend the fish burger and fries. Both were great. Watch for seagulls - they will swipe your food.

One of the most spectacular sites on the planet…
We like coming here mostly for the spectacular views while eating. The breakfast, lunch & dinner restaurant sits about 100’ above the Atlantic Ocean overlooking the Aquinnah Beach and the Gay Head multicolored clay cliffs. Ask for the outside tables closest to the cliff side. It is pricey for what you get, but it’s worth the breathtaking view- and it’s in such a quiet area of the vineyard you just have to see! Great gift shops outside! ~~~_)~~*~~

Great food with a beautiful view!

Excellent! Service, views, and food were outstanding! I got their swordfish sandwich. Would definitely get again. All second to none. Made my day. Much better than I expected.

Food was yummy Wish Italian bread was served with the pasta dishes. . Not happy with the size of the Caesar salad. Yes would go again.
