Recently lost our family pet of 11 years. Our family was devastated. The staff at Parsell’s was nothing short of phenomenal. At a time when one’s heart is broken in many pieces and you are trying to make sense of the loss of a loved one, in my case, my mother. I was treated with kindness and professionalism by the amazing staff at Parsell Funeral Home.
From the time I needed information on how to go about to finally making the final decisions for my mother’s witness cremation, Andrew Parsell, Amy Matarese, John, and Vicky…were all amazing!
I want to thank them all for making this hard and emotional experience into a kind and loving one…I can’t say enough of how well the service and accommodations given by Parsell Funeral Home were to my family and how dignified and respected my mother was treated. Thank you all!

Throughout the hardest days of my life after my husband passed away suddenly, everyone at Parcell's was kind, caring and supportive. Amanda was so very helpful in guiding us through the process. The coordinators at Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium were very helpful & compassionate in our time of grief. They explained their services without being pushy & let us make up our minds for what we thought Lou would want. The Aftercare Coordinator brought the urn to our home which was so helpful to me.

On three occasions I have requested the services of the Parsell staff concerning the cremation and/or funeral planning of my loved ones. My first interaction pertained to the cremation of my beloved dog, Pal. I wanted locks of Pal’s hair which they provided to me in small decorative vials. The other two cremations and funeral planning were for my beloved mother and aunt who were two of the most important people in my life. In all three instances, every member of the Parsell staff was very professional, competent, kind, caring and compassionate. Most recently, Andrew Parsell assisted me with the preplanning/ payment of my aunt’s final arrangements where he was a tremendous help in accurately estimating all the costs that would be incurred. Either he or his designee promptly followed up with me on any questions I had and provided me with other contacts or information I needed. Andrew’s and his staff’s assistance greatly reduced the stress I was feeling and were very empathetic to the grief I was feeling. It takes special people with very thoughtful and understanding personalities to deal with on a daily basis the sadness that the death of loved ones causes their relatives. I am so appreciative of how well the Parsell staff took care of my loved ones and helped me during the saddest times of my life.

My sisters and I were referred to Parsell Funeral Home after losing our beloved father. After speaking with a secretary not even 10 minutes later I was contacted by Andrew Parsell who worked close with us to make arrangements for our fathers funeral services. Being as this was our first loss of a loved one, we were truly lost. Andrew was extremely helpful and guided us every step of the way. We expressed the desire to have his remains transferred to Mexico and although it was a long process, Andrew and his team made it happen. We will forever be thankful for the hard work and dedication Parsell Funeral Home put into making our fathers last wish come true. They are truly dedicated to helping families and the community.

Services provided at Parsell were outstanding. From the coordination to the actual memorial services, the employees involved were outstanding. Very pleasant to interact with and the explanation of the services needed were very well communicated. The services needed were somewhat more involved since the passing of my parents occurred in Virginia and the actually memorial services were performed in Delaware. Parsell coordinated the cremation services in Virginia and then proceeded to schedule the requested memorial services in Delaware. Thanks to the employees of Parsell and especially to Andrew Parsell.

I recently lost both of my parents within a week of each other. To plan for one funeral is difficult but to plan for two was beyond overwhelming. I could not have gotten through the planning and preparation without the gentle guidance of Andrew Parsell. I had no experience and no idea what to expect with the planning of funeral services. Andrew and the staff of Parsell Funeral Homes handled it all for me. It was the most organized and professional event that I've ever been a part of. They were gentle and sensitive to the passing of my parents and took great care of both of them. Andrew had excellent communication with me every step of the way. I lost my brother and my beautiful Mom within 6 months. Parsell was supportive, kind and efficient. The graveside service was held for both of them together and it was beautiful. The upset and stress when having a death in your family is made so much easier with Parsell Funeral Home, they handle all of the details that contribute to the stress of the situation. Thank-you.

My husband passed away the day after Thanksgiving. Even though it was during a long holiday weekend, the funeral home staff was immediately responsive. I realize the staff is on call 24/7 but given the holiday and traffic in our busy area, the gentlemen who arrived to pick up my husband arrived very promptly. They were nothing less than professional as well as compassionate. They did not make us feel that we needed to rush through saying good-bye to my husband, explained everything they were going to do, and made sure I was thoroughly aware of what the next steps would be and when I would be contacted by the funeral home. When we met with our funeral director, Laura, we found her to be easy to talk to, incredibly kind, patient and understanding. Laura took a great deal of time to talk with us and gather information about my husband. She and her staff used that information to develop an absolutely beautiful obituary that was a very accurate portrayal of my husband. We chose to have my husband's remains cremated at the Parsell location on King's Highway but we planned to take the cremains back to PA for visitation and services. Even though we were relying on Parsell's for just the cremation portion of the process, Laura was every bit as helpful as if we had used their facilities for the entire process of cremation, visitation, services and burial. In addition to the high quality of service offered by everyone we came in contact with, Parsell's offered a very beautiful assortment of cremation urns, providing the opportunity for us to choose an urn that was truly a reflection of my husband. I could not recommend Parsell's highly enough.

Words can not express How grateful my children and I are for all the help that Brian and Andrew and the entire staff at Parsell's showed us. Having to have. Funeral for your 23yr old son is not something any parent is prepared to do and definitely not what his brothers and sister ever planned on doing.
They made it so easy and were by our sides every step of the way.
I can absolutely say if God forbid I ever needed them in an emergency again I would never think twice about going and using their services.

They were a great help and very supportive when my parents, me, and my younger brother had to quickly plan a funeral for my other brother. We all live in Virginia. He had died from a heart attack. David Bradley and his assistant Laura led us through the planning process and we were able to get the funeral scheduled within a week of my brother's death. Parsell staff helped us draft an obituary and get it published in local papers. Parsell staff also established a memorial website and put together a slide show of pictures associated with my brother. The memorial facility at the Lewes site is beautiful and was a lovely venue for "Celebrating my brother's life." Outstanding staff and full range of support services.

Words can not express how grateful and blessed our family feels, after going through a very difficult loss. Not knowing what direction to take Andrew guided us through it all and never gave up on our wish to transfer our father’s remains to his beloved country. Although transferring his remains seemed impossible at times, Parsell Funeral home made sure it happened. Today I laid to rest my fiance. Parsell arranged the burial at sea. It was a beautiful, calm and serene experience. Andrew made the experience so special. Parsell's customer service is exceptional.
