Breakers Hotel & Suites

Better than expected for a 3 star hotel. The hotel was recently remodeled. It was very clean. The staff was absolutely fantastic, especially Randy that accommodated a last minute request for our two rooms (booked separately) to be located next to each other. The location of the hotel was great. The ladies in the breakfast lounge were very accommodating too (I noticed them helping an elderly man). Will definitely stay here again.

Best value in the area. Heat/AC works very well. Staff is great friendly and accommodating. Shuttles to the beach(and places along the way if you ask nicely) close to everything beach related.

We had an amazing summer stay at Breakers, super close to everything in Rehoboth but still quiet and relaxing. Excellent beach shuttle (thank you Debbie!) or an easy 10 min walk, loved the room and the breakfast was amazing. Staff was really nice and helpful. The patio or balcony on each room is great to sit and relax, and store beach gear/dry towels.

Nice little hotel/motel in town! It was honestly person for us as two adults because we didn’t need to be right on the boardwalk and could carry our own stuff to the beach (probably a bit harder with kids). It was great for night life because the bars and restaurants were actually closer to walk back from. Rooms were clean and nothing felt lacking albeit a tad old that’s to be expected. Staff was great and friendly! Also nice to have the option of free breakfast and coffee all day was great for me!

Very nice CLEAN hotel. Parking on site. 24hr coffee, tea, filtered water in lobby. Breakfast included 8am-10am. Buffet style, lots of choices, delicious coffee.

Parking was not bad by any means, on street parking and a parking lot. Check-in was seamless, Desiree was very informative and kind, made the process smooth. Room was great, and clean. Breakfast though, was amaaaazing, everything was fresh, the layout was perfect, stocked and displayed very organized, many things to choose from, but Debbie, who was hosting breakfast, she was an absolute delight, as sweet as they come, we were surprised by how many options were available, they had child seats and you get to view the lake as you have your breakfast. Overall I definitely recommend this for a hotel stay, for a vacation, spur of the moment, weekend, only a few blocks from the boardwalk, love love love.

We have been coming to the Breakers for several years and have enjoyed all our stays there. This was the first time we brought along a dog and stayed in one of their pet rooms.
Everything was clean upon checking in and staff was pleasant as always. Pet rooms are on the bottom level and there are patios with a couple of chairs and a railing that keeps your dog contained. The floors are a laminate so easy to clean. The pet rooms seemed a little smaller than our other rooms on upper floors but not overly so. We had two double beds, 1 King is the other option. There is a grassy area right outside where the patios are but you do have to go out and around the building to get to it. Right across the street from there is a little park area that we used for our dog to relieve himself. We did pay an extra $50 a night when bringing the dog.
Best dog friendly restaurants we went to- Purple Parrot, Arena’s, Grotto’s and Zoggs.

Absolutely fabulous little spot. My previous stay was at Henlopen hotel and I assumed that old moldy surroundings is just what you get at a 2 star establishment. Nope. Either this place is underrated ( understarred) or I don’t even know. Everything is brand new and shiny, there is a FREE shuttle to the beach, there is a quality breakfast buffet and even a pool at the top floor with a glass ceiling.
Parking: if you don find any spots in the smaller immediate lot, exit it and take 3 immediate rights ( last one being into a convention center park) and at the end you will be able to enter the big garage belonging to Breakers. You’re welcome.

Can’t wait to come back here!

Great hotel. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Shout out to the front desk, they helped a great deal. A great place to stay. Parking is a bit frustrating but all in all, I'd recommend the Breakers.

This is a 5 star rating on a 2 star hotel. If you keep that in mind you won't be disappointed. This was our first time staying here as our usual choice was fully booked. We only stayed 1 night for a quick trip just to get in some beach time. The room, standard king on the 3rd floor, was clean, the hotel staff were friendly and the location can't be beat being 2 blocks from the beach. There is a mention of a beach shuttle however it wasn't running the day we were there. There is a free hot breakfast, croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon, plus boxed cereal and packaged danish served in a clean brightly lit dining area We would stay here again for quick trips.

5min from the beach at an amazing price with a friendly staff and clean room with a balcony, breakfast, and a pool!

I'm giving the Breakers Hotel a 5-star rating because it's an excellent 2-star hotel (i.e. the property has no frills and only offers basic accommodations but it's quite comfortable).

First, the location is fantastic. You're within walking distance of everything.

Second, the staff who I interacted with were incredibly friendly.

Third, they're dog-friendly.

The room I stayed in wasn't overly large but I'm not in Rehoboth to stay in my room. I'm there because I like to get outside and go for walks, take my dogs to the beach or go for coffee. (I think I stayed in the same room that Angie gave a terrible review for. However, unlike Angie, my experience was perfectly fine.)

Very nice staff, clean, and close to the beach. They have a shuttle that runs to the beach from 10am-5pm free of charge. Breakfast room was nice. The only thing I didn't care for were the beds. But other than that we have had a nice experience here.

Great dog friendly hotel within walking distance of everything! Rooms are always clean, and rates are unbeatable. This last stay was our 3rd time, and we will continue to stay!

Fantastic, hard working staff that are very warm and friendly. Spotless facility. Very nice rooms! Breakfast was very nice, and what we expected for a beach hotel. Loved the Starbucks machine and shuttle. We'll be back!

Excellent place to stay! Virginia was able to book a reservation for my wife and I to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and we can't thank her enough! We had an amazing time. The location of the hotel/suites is perfect. It's just a short walk to the beach and tons of very nice restaurants. There is no fee to park at the hotel since they have designated spots and they even let you park until 1pm after you check-out. This is our 2nd visit here and we love it! The free shuttle service the hotel offers to and from the beach is such an awesome added bonus! It's very convenient and always on time. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating as well. Lastly the complimentary breakfast in the morning and Starbucks down in the lobby is a great service. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again Virginia!

I loved that there was an indoor pool on the roof. It was a perfect size for the kids!

I am sure the staffing felt light because we went in the winter. But there was nothing missed. Everyone was helpful.

It does not look like much on the outside, but the rooms are clean and nice. I bought my dog with me, i was on the first floor, it was perfect.
They serve a hot breakfast every morning, due to COVID, you have to pick up, but the service is excellent, everyone was so nice, it is 2 blocks from beach and they have a shuttle service which was really great.
I will stay here again, excellent choice, clean rooms and friendly staff.

The staff at the Breakers could not have been more accommodating for a vacation with a friend who has a service dog. This was their first vacation in over ten years and we were worried about the logistics, but the wonderful reservations lady made sure everything went smoothly. Room was clean, cool, and comfortable, and sitting on the patio enjoying the view was a treat. Special shout-out to the breakfast crew who made it all work (and the coffee was delicious). The best part? All of the other guests were welcoming and friendly. Don't cry but this vacation was a lifesaver. Thank you, The Breakers Hotel.
