Beautiful day for apple (and pear!) picking here. Usually always go to the “big name” farms, but this one was so much better! Less crowded and had everything we were looking to do for the day with our little one.

Many varieties of apple to pick from, and they had a little store with pies, apple cider donuts (best we ever had!), and apple cider! Lots of other typical small shop items to purchase as well.

We would definitely come back!

Wonderful apple/pear/and sunflower picking! We loved this locally run place, with good prices and a very child friendly environment. There are two store on the property, an artisan store was a cute little room with antiques and locally made items, and the main store you go to purchase your picking bags, inside they also have a small food stand that offered caramel apples with many types/options and a delicious honey lemonade.

The sunflowers are beautiful right now and we loved the free children's activities and the pony ride! We might be back next weekend for photos as we got here a bit late.

Wonderful experience with fun for the whole family. Old Homestead is sure to keep your family busy with the various activities they have to offer. Bee sure to visit their other location to pick your own wild flower bouquet.

We have never been to this family owned country market in Franksville. It's located just off Hwy 36 (Loomis) and Cape Rd. We came for their sunflower harvest, which was a GREAT bargain. $ 5 for a HUGE bag of sunflower heads that you go to the field and cut yourself. They also have a play area for kids, a caramel apple station, candles, jams/jellies, pumpkins, and gourds. I was able to get my daughter's wheelchair through the sunflower patch trails, but it took some muscle.

I visit this orchard once a year. My advice is to go early in apple season, before the apples and sunflowers get picked over. If you do, you will not be disappointed! Beautiful sunflowers, fun for the whole family, cute store, and the Gala apples this year did not disappoint!

Great place to bring young kids to pick apples and pumpkins. Warm cinnamon apple donuts were really good. We went in mid-October and there were still plenty of apples to pick but no pears. There is a small pen with ducks and chickens to feed too.

I brought my family to this orchard last weekend and will be going again this weekend. The other orchards nearby charge more and don't even compare to how nice the orchard store was. My daughter loved the pick your own apples, hay mountain, kids games, and farm animals to feed. The farm is beautiful! I took over hundred photos with my family. If you get a chance, try some of the fresh apple cider...so good!

We go here every year and the kids love it! We pick raspberries, apples, and usually buy their natural chicken and order a thanksgiving turkey. They have some small free games for the kids as well. It's a great family owned place and much more low key that the overstimulated competition. Frankly I think the prices are comparable to anyone else and I'd rather support this great family owned business. Give them a try!

Went here with the fam, extended fam and friends. Our experience today was much better than the past. They have a quaint food counter with delicious caramel apples (sliced which is nice) and other bakery delights. The cider/lemonade mix was delish! The pumpkin and gourd selection was wonderful, the apple picking was fun (the cooler fall weather added a bit of festivity), the play area kept the kids entertained, and all of this was wrapped up with antiquing. I like the changes (perhaps it was a staff change and/or training but the employees were quite pleasant) and will likely be back before the end of the season. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Very friendly staff! Delicious apples and reasonably priced goodies. Quiet, humble, and laid back environment (unlike some other over crowed -gimme all your money- places). Will definitely be repeat customers!

This is our favorite apple orchard. Friendly family run business. So much more enjoyable than those big overly commercial places around here! We LOVE the popcorn and of course the fresh apple cider

Pick your own apples is always a great experience. They have tons of homemade products in their store. Can't wait to try the cider donuts next time!
