McGuinness Irish Pub

We were early so I’m not sure about the later atmosphere but the bad was just setting up as we were headed out. Beer was cold and food was great. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and drinks. The Nutty Irishman was delicious. I got it as an after dinner desert drink. Like a nutty chocolate shake with a kick! Yum!

McGuinness Irish Pub is everything you'd expect from an Irish pub. The food is tasty, and the beer devine. Definitely get the Reuben egg rolls if they're available. The staff is very hospitable and friendly. We met the chef, and then he likely crawled back into the Notre Dame logo afterward. Pretty much a spitting image, but thankfully, without the fighter's stance (or the spitting). Anywho, the vibe was festive because the music was appropriately Irish. Even the butter was shaped like a shamrock!

One of my go to places in Appleton. Just about as authentic as you can get for an Irish pub in the States. Great selection of whiskey, Guinness and the like on tap and poured properly. There are often very good musical performances there. And when Matt puts on an event it is top notch. This combined with the homey atmosphere and friendly clientele make it a place worth trying multiple times.

There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was worth it. Absolutely delicious! We each ordered something different and no complaints from anyone. I ordered the bangers and mash with a side of corned beef. The corned beef was delicious, mash was so creamy and the sausages were fantastic! Truly reminded me of the food we ate in Ireland. Portion sizes were good as well--the largest of the group being the Reuben sandwich. I'm excited to go there next time when we aren't on our way to a show at the PAC so we can get one of their desserts, too!

If I didn't live all the way in Idaho this would be my go to place. Pretty sure it's not the place to step in and say "God save the Queen!" It was cool to see the Michael Collins quote and the Irish Declaration of Independence. Very friendly people, both the staff and the patrons...you helped make my trip to Lambeau Field that much better!

I loved this place. My wife and I both had the Shepard Pie, me with bangers.
Add a Stout draft and mmmmm.

Irish folk and pop on the speakers and a nice bar.

Pub has a great selection of beer and cocktails. The Irish spin on a long island iced tea is superb. This bar (unlike the *redacted* bar in the area) will actually take the time to look at your passport card if they were to assume (incorrectly) that your ID is fake. The rings game is better than the pool table offered at the *redacted* bar.
Service at the bar is top notch.

Came to visit here with a friend and immediately love the atmosphere!

Irish through and through

We ended up getting 2 glasses of a vanilla porter that was so smooth, and to pair it with an order of the Fries with Irish Curry Sauce was so nice.

We will be coming again to try more of the food (Shepards pie most likely)

And shout out to the drunk individual complimenting my beard and asking if we wanted to join in on the UNO game, might have too next time!

Best place in town for a beer and a good time. The bartender was awesome. The owner gave us a free shot and was all about having a good time.

Was there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Saw Socks in the Frying Pan. Also had dinner. My Irish Stew was very good.

Awesome Irish Bar. Nice selection of Irish beers on tap. They pour a very nice Guinness and it is FRESH. Really tasty Irish pub grub. They make a very good fish & chips, too. MASSIVE patio out back. Super chill. Lots of regulars and very friendly with newcomers.

We hung out here for a while the first night we were up for EAA this year and sat and talked to the owner most of the evening. Great little Irish pub, good cold beer, and great service. We didn't get any food, but based upon our experience overall, I'd guess it's pretty good too!

This little pub has quite the homey atmosphere, and the outdoor music is a plus. It's definitely my new favorite, to go-to bar every time I'm visiting the night life downtown!

Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff. There has been a change in ownership since my last visit, but things appear to have stayed mostly similar as before. I genuinely appreciated seeing some military patches still on display that I donated/dropped off after my father (Vietnam vet) passed away in late 2017. If I lived closer than a 3-hour one way drive, I would definitely visit more often!

We wanted some good Irish beer and this place delivers - it's legit. Great Irish pub and if you order Guineas, chances are it's a fresh keg and meticulously maintained. The food is a great Irish selection, although the scotch egg was a little overcooked, the food was a nice surprise.

One of our family's go-to restaurants year round, not just at St. Patrick's Day. The owner is knowledgeable and truly cares about his patrons, the bartenders are friendly and sociable, and the cooks impress me every meal.

Absolutely wonderful place. Very friendly atmosphere. Bartenders are highly knowledgeable and very courteous. The place is very clean and has a warm feeling when you come in. The food, absolutely delicious all around. Definitely a great place to go enjoy a relaxing evening with friends and none of the drama you find on the strip.
