Jordan has been my barber and hairstylist for several years, and I highly recommend his services. During my time with him, I've tried out a few different hairstyles, and he always nails what I'm looking for, while making sure it will still look great due to my hair type and thickness. The products he uses and sells are also fantastic and make it very easy to maintain your hairstyle weeks after your appointment. If you're in need of any grooming needs, you won't be disappointed by having them handled by Jordan.

I have a 13 year old son who like most middle schoolers is going through the phases of caring about his hair! I met Jordan a few months back at the gym I go to and booked an appointment! He’s got such a cool vibe about him and his studio! He did an awesome job giving my son his own style! He was great with him and does an amazingly thorough job and treated my son like a young man! The next booking, I was struggling to find a time within 3-4 weeks to get him in and Jordan agreed to come in on a Sat that he wasn’t working; super cool!! Having a haircut that looks great, and he can manage, gives my son more confidence in a time in his life that truly is a bit awkward! Super stoked to have Jordan doing what he’s doing! Jordan is nothing short of a face artist. I have been to many different places to get a beard trim. He is the best by far.

Went to Rubrum yesterday for my first time and Jordan was a pleasure. Not only did he do a wonderful job on the hair and beard, he also was extremely polite and kind. I have been looking for a place to get my beard trimmed for about a year now and tried out a few chain barbers, and nothing felt right. But, as soon as I went to Rubrum Barbershop it felt unique. Jordan at Rübrum makes the thinning hair on this middle-aged dad-bod wannabe hipster look better than it has a right to. And while this entire review could dwell on his skills with the shears, the fantastic view of the Fox River out his window, his attention to detail, his great taste in music, etc., etc., I'd actually like to tell you about what he does for our family that makes him our permanent hall-of-fame greatest of all time. In our family the best hair goes to our 9 year old boy. Blond and thick, falling across his scalp naturally and at the perfect angles. In addition to having perfect hair our boy is autistic and non-verbal. His existence is interrupted by his compulsion for sensory inputs and an inability to sit still. He does it all happily and we love him to bits. But his compulsions make some chores really difficult. Back to Jordan. Jordan agreed to step outside of his normal trend-setting modus operandi and take our boy as a client. We arrive and Jordan shifts his attention to providing his usual service AND being considerate for our boy, making him comfortable and giving him room to shift in the seat and grab for Jordan's shears and against all odds - to let Jordan give him a great haircut. I don't know quite how he does it, but we're grateful to Jordan and Rübrum and would recommend him on the basis of my wannabe hipster status haircuts alone. But he goes the extra mile - for our boy, and I'm sure for you too.

I would say this is the best haircut I've gotten!! Jordan is talented, professional, and personable-- everything you would want from your barber. And an added cherry on top is the view you get looking out the window to the river as you get your hair cut. 10/10, I would definitely recommend Jordan if you want to look and feel your best.

By far the best haircut I have ever had. I have been to many places but Jordan is by far the most talented I have encountered. My hair is weird to begin with and the back of my head has a flat spot. He recommended a style to give my head a more round shape and a hairstyle that I can manage. Highly recommend.

As always a great haircut and excellent conversation (if conversations are your thing). Jordan is a true pro. I’ve never had a less than an excellent haircut over several years. And the new location is the bomb. And as an added bonus, perhaps the best views you'll ever have while getting your 'do done. Highest recommendation.

I’ve been going to Jordan for a year or two now and I’ve never been disappointed or even slightly unhappy with my haircuts. I’ve had a long history of bad haircuts so when you go to someone who makes your hair look great after an appointment, it’s an amazing feeling. Friends even ask me where I got my haircut and say that it looks awesome. The hot shaves are great too. I have sensitive skin and am prone to ingrown hairs and irritation, but whenever I get a hot shave my skin feels better than it did prior to coming in

Jordan is an excellent barber. He keeps my pomp high and tight and looking fresh, and has made several suggestions for products and techniques that have served me well. You won’t be disappointed.

I've been going to Jordan once a month for well over a year now. He never disappoints. I'm very particular about my beard and mustache and have been to a few lackluster barbers in the past. Be it a tight fade, hard-part, straight razor line up, mustache trim or tidy up on a beard...Jordan excels at it all!
