I got my hair cut by Sarah and I absolutely love it! I had my initial appointment and wasn’t 100% satisfied after washing my hair. Sarah gave me a free follow up appointment to fix it up until I loved it. I have never been happier with a haircut! Cannot recommend this shop and Sarah enough!

Kayla is absolutely the kindest and the best!!! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and paid so much attention to detail while doing it. She’s also amazing at blow outs!!

Jessica has been doing my hair for 3 years, and has done it at every length--from a 1in pixie to the long hair it is now--and has done many different colors for me, too. She is a rockstar. She's incredibly passionate (I'm actually not sure I've seen someone who loves their job more), fun to spend time with, and does incredible work. Can't recommend her and The Shop highly enough.

I did balayage with Ali yesterday and I am so satisfied with the results. Ali made sure of exactly what I wanted and did it perfect. Haircut was so detailed and smooth. Would definitely recommend.

I've been coming to this location of The Shop for a couple years now (and went to the Bethesda location for about a year prior to that). I lucked out with my initial stylist pick - Ali - and have been going back regularly for haircuts since. I've been so pleased with my experience that even my wife is going to give this salon a shot after deciding to ditch her previous salon.

I had an appointment for a cut and partial color with Gabby. I was planning to go from medium/long hair to hair above my shoulders- Florence Pugh vibes. I was nervous for a big change but Gabby guided me through, chose my balayage, style, and length. This is honestly the best haircut I’ve ever had! You know how when you get a haircut (esp a big change) you almost always have buyers remorse? Well I don’t. The haircut is stunning and I will be going back.

Ali is the BEST! He could not have been more sweet or professional, took into consideration the pictures I showed him and I just love my new hair (I got a haircut/balayage). I have very thick curly hair and I thought the price was reasonable for DC. I will definitely go back to him for sure and have made sure to recommend him to my friends in the area.

Ali is wonderful! He listened to what I was vaguely looking for and really delivered! It had been about 9 months since my last haircut, and I wanted to take a couple of inches off of my shoulder-length hair and add in some movement/layers. It looks great, and I’ll definitely be going back to see him! It’s a stylish shop - excellent location, and very clean and welcoming!

I have gotten clipper cuts from Liz at the Shop at Shaw since she started working there. Liz is beyond friendly, has a breadth of experience with different hairstyles, and has taught me how to better care for my curly hair. She is awesome!

I also appreciate the Shop itself - they have a great energy going in (and a pacman mural when you're staring up at the ceiling during a shampoo). Their genderless options for haircuts provide a transparent approach to pricing, and they have an option for a cleanup a few weeks after your initial cut.

Liz has been doing my hair for years now, and I'm so grateful she moved to this salon. Beautiful space: open, airy, light and really comfortable.

Liz is an absolute magician when it comes to finding a cut that works with my hair and even more so with color. Absolutely recommend.

I entered the shop with crazy uneven bleached hair, I left looking like a star. My hair felt healthier, smoother, and looked extremely better. The products used definitely made a difference in my hair. Everyone was kind, friendly, and engaging. They all worked well together and made the customers feel at ease. The shop was clean and organized. It had a relax atmosphere. The ENTIRE staff genuinely care and truly want you to leave feeling confident and looking your best.

Adriana was amazing! She works wonders!! I thought I would have to chop all my hair off but she saved it! She did her researched and made sure to pick a look that was just right for me. She was diligent and took her time. She's friendly and fun. Her magic gave me my confidence back. It's hard to find a stylist that actually cares and wants your hair healthy and you looking your best, but Adriana is it!

I have been going to Jamie for ten years. She is fantastic! She can work wonders with color. This new salon is beautiful. I love the sinks- yay for neck support. I went to Adriana for the first time, and she was able to turn my very dark hair blond in one treatment, even though some of it was green and yellow when I walked in. Really professional, talented stylists here for reasonable prices.

Best place for a men's haircut in the area!! Ali cut and styled my medium-short length hair after helping me brainstorm ideas of what to do with it, taking all of my input into account and giving suggestions based on my wants and his experience. He was extremely detail-oriented and was very thorough in explaining how to style my new haircut on my own at home - which I really, really appreciated (and happens a lot less than you'd think!).

This was my second haircut at The Shop at Shaw - the first being done by Tyler, who also was awesome and provided a similar experience (in addition to taming my hair after a year+ without a cut). Highly recommend Tyler, Ali, and The Shop as a whole!

I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Jamie for 5 years now. I moved to the west coast 2 years ago and still go to her salon when I’m in town for work because she’s that good. She does the most natural blond highlights for me - so natural that I still have friends that are surprised to hear I get my hair colored. I can always be honest with her about I want, and I never feel pressured to do anything I dont want like other hair stylists I’ve had in the past. Her hair cuts are awesome, and she is quick and efficient. Her prices are very reasonable. Plus, she’s great company. Overall, the best stylist I’ve ever had!

I’ve been going to Jamie for 6+ years and couldn’t be happier. She fixed my hair after a disaster cut (from someone else) and I havent gone to anyone since. I recently moved 3 hours away and I still make the drive to see Jamie whenever I need a cut. She gives the best hair cuts and color of any stylist I’ve ever had. I recommend her to everyone I know! Can’t wait to visit her new shop!

Jaime Lynn is the best. She cares about all of her clients, and wants them all to feel their very best. She is creative and helpful and whether it is you first visit or you 100th she channels her energy into her art/work. I first came in with home dyed, fried hair and left feeling great, have been with her ever since.

Incredibly warm, HELPFUL, talented staff. I had my first appointment with Sierra last week. Sierra gave me an incredible curly haircut and amazing styling tips. I am at the end of my transition back to my natural hair texture after over 6 years of chemical straightening. For first time in years my hair feels soft, manageable, and I am actually starting to love my natural texture.

The Shop at Shaw is radical! A top-notch hair salon from the atmosphere to the talent. Their walls are adorned with fun murals, quirky paintings and a plant wall. Looking at the ceiling while getting a wash feels like you're playing pac man. I've been here twice now and seen two different and amazingly talented stylists. Pre-covid I saw Jaime Lynn who balayaged and styled my hair. Loved the results. Recently, I went back to lighten my color and saw Cat. She took the time to properly lighten my hair so it didn't come out brassy and when we went over the allotted time she still styled my hair beautifully. Oh, and the shop dog Frida is absolutely adorable.

I always have such a wonderful experience when I visit THE SHOP AT SHAW. A great vibe and atmosphere with incredible service. As someone who doesn't talk much to their hair stylist, they do a great job of making me feel comfortable while getting a hair cut.

The Shop at Shaw is a gem. After trying a few places around the city, I found the Shop and Aaron. The place itself is cute and styled well. The staff is attentive and friendly, no stuffiness here. Everyone is relaxed and found what the love. The cut is one of the best I've ever had. And the vagaro app for scheduling is so easy to use. There aren't a lot of unisex salons in the city with decent prices, a good vibe, and great staff. Check them out. You won't regret it.
