My wife and I stopped here for a quick drink and snack. WOW, it was AWESOME. The owner actually came up to us and talked to us and asked us questions about what we liked. He then made a few recommendations, and we ended up enjoying one of the best Margaritas we ever had. He told us that the tequila was his own brand. He made us the Margaritas himself, so if you ever want to enjoy a great drink, with great employees, a great owner, great food, and sit outside to enjoy the drink....this is the place.

Patty hooked us up with some phenomenal Mexican drinks and there were smiles all around. Don't skip the queso fundito. Ask the servers to sing ... They won't disappoint.

Great experience! Our server Yasir was very attentive and had a great attitude. They have a 2 for 1 margarita deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays which I paid 8 bucks for. Their birria is also fantastic. Definitely the best Mexican ive had in the area.

The best Mexican restaurant, hands down. Family friendly, amazing portion sizes, and delicious food. As a cherry on the top, they are family friendly. We will be going again!

Went here cautious after hearing about lunch taco buffet. It turned out to be an outstanding experience. I will come back for the buffet but the quality of the food was remarkable. They will get my business for a long time to come.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing!! Best food, EVER. I could eat here every night. And don’t even get my started on those margaritas!😍

Everything about this place is amazing from the decor to the service, and especially the food! I had the Birria dinner and it was delicious, best birria I've had in town. I also had the horchata to drink, it was delicious, rich and creamy. Our server, Yasir, was amazing. He was very kind and patient with us while providing excellent service.

Great atmosphere. Indoor/outdoor dining. Food never disappoints. The owner is always coming by to make sure you are having a great time. Drinks are very yummy 😋 And you can't beat a cold Coca Cola in a bottle with your lunch or dinner.

My daughter and I ate here while we waited for our fur babies to be groomed at Petsmart. The food was delicious and our waitress was very nice. We had a great night!

Maria is absolutely wonderful waitress. My girlfriends and I like stop in for a girls night! Good food and drinks!

i LOVE this place. me and my boyfriend make it an effort to either takeout or dine in at least once a month. today we chose dine in, and we had Yasir as our server and he’s just the best, very friendly and so smiley it’s contagious. he deserves the recognition. he made our night!!! we <3 you el tequila salsa

Favorite local place of mine. Good atmosphere friendly staff and owner. Burrito California is awesome if u don't mind a little spice... Jalapeno margarita is crazy good. The patio in summer is a good hang out spot.

My favorite sit down Mexican food place in the Wausau area. The street taco plate with the beans in the bowl is incredible. That's my go to meal here. Everything is very flavorful and seasoned well. The service is good and the atmosphere is fine. It can get a little warm in here on a hot summer day.

Try the street taco plate, if you like more authenticate Mexican food you should enjoy that plate. Ask for their hottest salsa. It's flavorful and has a great kick.

A delicious Mexican restaurant. El Tequila has outstanding shrimp tacos made in a bourbon glaze with chipotle seasoning. I'm loving it. My mom had the cocktail de camaron most known as shrimp soup. We both had top-shelf golden margaritas. Delicious and I highly recommend the guacamole dip. Ultra fresh and delicious. Thank you Alicia we had great service...we appreciate it.

Super yummy food at El tequila salsa and never disappoints! My favorite things in the menu are the cheese dip, the tropical shrimp and the birria tacos.
