Everyone make mistakes, the difference is in how companies deal with it, in this case staff was professional and responsive providing quick solution to the issue.

I want to comment to the review that Brad Dehetre made about his time working for Sutton. First off, the company didn't ask me to write this review, but I am a current employer that was actually an employee under Mr. Dehetre. Brad was the terminal manager for very short time and I worked both days and also linehaul under his supervision/management.

If you can call it supervision/management. He was rude, unavailable to his employees and would belittle them when he would actually come out of his office. I personally brought up some issues to him in regards to the operations of the terminal that I felt could help things run smoother for the night shift which I was currently working. He gave me attitude and made me feel like I was wasting his time, and then made a rude undermining comment to me. While under his "leadership" about half of the day drivers quit their jobs putting extra strain and pressure on all the other remaining employees that currently worked there. I think the same would have happened to the night drivers if he would have been present at night. Most of us hated even coming into work because every day was a mess, unorganized and just toxic. The terminal moral was the lowest I have seen when he was terminal manager.

Is Sutton the best company around to work for? Probably not. They are a good company though. Pay is good (not the highest or lowest for the industry), and they don't micromanage everything we do. We have a job to do and if we just show up and do our jobs, they leave us alone and don't really sweat small things like some of the other LTL companies around. I definitely can't ask for much more than that.

Things in the terminal have greatly gotten better since Brad was let go. Our operations manager (Tim Mahoney) is awesome and has been trying to repair the damage that Brad caused. As an employee, it is awesome that we can call Tim's cell phone and ask him any question or address any issue and he listens and doesn't make you feel dumb or like you are wasting his time. He actually listens to you and will discuss things with you which is amazing since most companies upper management won't give the time of the day to one of their regular employees. We have a new terminal manager now and hopefully he will lead this ship that had gotten so far off track from Brads leadership back on track.

Brad says "Don't waste your time here, they don't appreciate their employees at all". That is exactly how we felt under Brad's direct management and supervision. Since he is no longer here, I definitely don't have any plans of going anywhere else
