Great little neighborhood shop! I have now gotten cuts from both Victor and Irma (accidentally scheduled a cut with Irma when I fat fingered the scheduling app), and I can say that they're both kind, attentive professionals. I have a pretty simple style so I can't vouch for bigger projects, but for me they've been great and at a reasonable price.

Victor’s is a fine neighborhood shop for a haircut at a reasonable rate. He pays great attention to detail and has earned my repeated business. Highly recommend Victor if you’re in the market for a new barber.

I have been going to Irma for about 3 years now, and every single time she does a fantastic job. She is very accommodating and kind. Sometimes I like to keep my hair a bit longer, which can be tricky for folks who cut hair, but she knows exactly what she is doing!

Really enjoy the quality of the men's haircut from Irma. She takes her time and doesn't use shortcuts. The prices here have risen over the past couple of years, but unfortunately this seems to be the norm for everything in DC now. I will continue to pay for the consistent service and convenient location.

I have had my hair cut by Victor and Irma for years. This place is the best and they are a local gem. They have taken impressive safety precautions during the pandemic. I have always received excellent haircuts, service, and conversation here. This is a local business, firmly routed in the community for a long time, that deserves your support and will earn it if you stop in even once. They are operating by appointment only right now.

Very polite and have online booking which was wonderful because you can book on the weekend for the day when they are open Monday to Friday. Gotta wear mask and sanitize hands and get temperature taken, but very respectful and polite, they do good haircuts also! Highly recommend if you don’t mind wearing a mask for 20 minutes to get haircut. We had 2 mens cuts done. They are good about having openings available.

I have been going to Victor's for several years now and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Victor gives incredible haircuts for a great price. He really takes the time to get to know you and will give you exactly the right type of haircut for what is going on in your life. A week before my wedding he spent extra time on my haircut to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. Conversations with Victor are always a pleasure as well, I look forward to catching up with him every time I go in for a cut. I can't imagine going anywhere else for a haircut in DC!

I've been going to Victor's for the past 10 months or so, and the experience is always fantastic. Victor is always efficient and a great person to chat with while, and sometimes his adorable grandkids are there too.

Victor is very professional and takes COVID19 seriously. Everything is sanitized and masks on at all times. He does an excellent job for a very affordable price. I love that I can book my appointment online. Highly recommend!! After going to him once, I switched from a stylist I've been seeing for years.

When you have super wavy hair that easily turns into a cotton ball mess, getting a good hair cut is tough. I'm convinced that Victor is the only one who can tame this crazy mop that sits on top of my head. No one has ever taken as much time to diligently layer my hair appropriately, and the results are fantastic!

I'm disappointed when I see any negative review of Victor because I've been going there for 3 years now and have gotten to know him on a more personal level. At times, there may be somewhat of a communication barrier (which could cause problems for people who don't know him), but he is a fantastic barber and a great person who takes pride in what he does.

Ultimately, I couldn't encourage you enough to give this place a shot if you're in need of a great haircut! I only request Victor myself, but I've seen great results from others too.

I was nervous about going in for a cut because of the ongoing mismanagement of the COVID-19 crisis, but I have to say I i was immediately put at ease seeing the precautions Victor took to maintain a clean, healthy work station and shop. He pulled out all the stops, including pre-entry temperature check, required masks/gloves, UV sterilization for his equipment, great ventilation and fans, chair covers, he wore full PPE (half face respirator, safety glasses, and gloves), and was still extremely friendly. I watched him thoroughly clean all of the surfaces before and after, truly a great business owner.

Oh yeah, this also turned out to be the best hair cut I've gotten in years. I have curly and typically hard to cut hair, and he absolutely nailed it. He worked around the mask straps like a magician too! I would highly recommend Victor's Hair Salon. I will certainly be going back.

Though I've been a satisfied customer since 2014 I had shied away from getting a haircut since the CoVid Pandemic was announced. I finally decided to take the plunge and made an appointment. I'm happy to report that Victor has a rigorous set of CoVid protocols in place and he implements them seriously. I could not have asked for more. I feel confident in giving Victor Hair Salon a full endorsement. If you have been concerned about CoVid safety and haircutting, make an appointment. You won't be disappointed.

I found a hidden gem in Shaw! This is a family-owned unisex barber shop. Low-key and old-school vibes - which I personally liked. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a local, efficient and straightforward haircut.
