U-Haul Moving & Storage of Intown

Everyone that I encountered (indoor customer service rep to the workers outdoors at the vehicle return were all uber attentive and efficient! I would highly recommend this location to Washingtonians!

Truck was ready when I arrived once paperwork and formalities were complete I walked around the corner and got in the van and drove off. Van was clean, 1/2 tank gas.
Only complaint is the rear tail light directional was not working so had to drive 700 miles with no left blinker

The agent Charon at this location was beyond amazing and helpful. Her customer service and customer care went above and beyond great. The afternoon crew was a bit cold and callous.

But Charon made the experience wonderful!!!The bathrooms were spotless. The storage space was immaculate. The overall experience was great. Tell that afternoon shift to at least be kinder to folks...lol...But I have refered 4 people to this facility. I just told them to make sure its early when Charon is there!!!!

I had to rent a cargo van early morning without any notice. It’s a tiny bit pricey but if you plan out what you do you can cut the hours shorter than needed. Staff inside and out the building was nice, you have to park on the street though while you use their trucks.

Easy reservation with the app. Check-in and drop off went smoothly, as well as extending our rental via smart phone. Van worked well to transport a large bookcase. All of their furniture dollies were out on loan, but bought one in stock for only $15. Good investment. Helpful and courteous office and vehicle staff.

I rented a trailer from this location July 2022. My husband is retired USAF and I have utilized a lot of different U-HAUL locations across the country. This is a well organized location with a lot of rentals. I was able to rent a trailer the day before I needed it in the middle of summer which is amazing.
I picked up the trailer here. The location has rentals, moving supplies, and storage units. It has a couple of buildings. The first building has the offices with supplies and rental check-in. There were 3 people working check-in, which made it move quickly.
After checking in, you drive around to the next building following the “Rentals” signs. They had the rentals well organized and the people working there were in constant contact with the front office so they knew who was coming.
They were friendly and professional and quickly found and connected my rental trailer.
I utilized the U-HAUL app to rent the trailer and do the preliminary check in which made the process (at the location) go quickly. It also allows you to return the rental after hours using the app which can be handy.
If you are renting something that you will have to tow for the first time, I do recommend going to a U-HAUL location close to you the week before renting, to ensure that your vehicle, hitch, and ball are all rated and capable of towing the item you rented. They can also make sure that you have the proper wiring and that it works. (Modifications at the last minute usually are not fun so taking care of this early is a good thing)

I love the customer service and the entire team at the 5th street location from Osman, the manager, the front desk reps and all of the cleaning people. Thank you for making the process easy for me. I have been coming here for over 7 years now and I am always satisfied with every visit. They are always nice, courteous and very professional. I never have any problems or spend a lot of time waiting in line. Thank you to the entire staff! Keep up the great work!

We picked up a trailer from this location. When the blinkers weren’t working, the owner evaluated our car and noticed a fuse had been blown. He went to the Autozone nearby to help us get it fixed. He went very out of his way - it was great customer service and saved us a delay in moving. Thank you!

Quick and easy with above and beyond service! I was able to rent the truck in 10 minutes the night before so that when I drove up I contactless picked up the truck and went! Drop off was done in a safe and distanced manner. All trucks are thoroughly disinfected before next rental. All this at an unbelievable low price.

Congratulations for the guy that gave me the track and the car keys. He was so kind and polite. He made sure I understood his instructions how to use the truck.

I came here to pick up a 5' x 8' remold after being directed by U-Haul's website. The registration process went really well for me. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was quickly directed to the right remolque by the equipment lot workers, who also expertly subjected me to it. They already had my other rental equipment in the back room. I had no issues using the remolque the entire time to transport some furniture 300 miles down I-95 (most of it in a downpour). Definitely rent from this location again.

Jenai at the front desk (at this 2515 5th St Washington DC Uhaul location) was super helpful and accommodating. She helped me get my reservation set up, walked me to the rental van, and was friendly throughout the process. Good customer service!

I went in to get a van to put stuff in a small 5x5 storage unit. It went extremely smooth and I got the exact amount of miles I needed. The clerk helping advised I do double what I thought and she was spot on. She was Helping me along the way avoid extra charges from underestimating. Would highly recommend

The prices of the supplies were cheaper than Walmart. Boxes under $2. Tape under $4. The customer service was knowledgeable. The truck was clean. I even got a month of free service. This Uhaul is better than the others in the area.

Vanessa was great! She helped me get squared away in no time, and even went the extra mile when I made a small error. Cheers to her and her colleagues. ALSO, I was thirsty and they gave me water :)

I have used u-haul my entire life - in more than 15 states. This is, by a longshot, the absolute best location I have ever worked with. When coming to the DC area, I will bypass every other location to make sure I get their incredible service.

The owner and his staff are cordial, helpful, personable, and extremely professional. Richard, who is in the picture, took incredible care of us. Don't waste your time with any of the other locations in the DC area.

Great people and service. If you go Saturday or Sunday morning, expect to wait for 20 minutes. The line goes quickly :)
