Shaady was super nice to my sister and me, and gave us an in-depth tour of DC's monuments and interesting sights. She even recommended a good Ramen place. I found her through Tripadvisor, and she really cared about our experience. I can recommend her tour company without reservations!

Discover DC Tours is a wonderful experience! My friends and I were carried by such an enthusiastic woman. We sang songs, had great convos, and laughed the whole ride! It felt like one of those moments you knew you will be nostalgic for. I recommend it 100000% ✅

Five stars for this tour!

By way of introduction, my mom and I hail from the west coast and this trip was to be our First Ever Epic Mother-Daughter Bondathon in Our Nation's Capital (cue reverberating monster truck rally announcer voice). Naturally, we put a great deal of planning into our family-time travel extravaganza, departing California armed with an itinerary listing an intimidating number of must-see attractions. Sadly, we lost the initial sight seeing battle to an unexpected foot injury which rendered me lame as a Florida lawn flamingo's shadow in silhouette. Fortunately, we emerged victorious after stumbling (figuratively this time) across Nonpartisan Pedicab during an online search.

Our secret weapon was Yashar, a One-Man-Malitia of Mental and Muscle Endurance, who served double duty as tour guide extraordinaire and transportation guru. Yashar delivered his tour narrative (an engaging combination of humorous/informative anecdotal, historical, political, and architectural details) in a conversational manner that never came across as disingenuous in the way that overly rehearsed narratives are sometimes wont to do.

Yashar went above and beyond by also inviting us to observe specific city views in order to compare them to historic photographs that depicted mirror images taken from across the ages. For us, these photo comparison opportunities served to poignantly underscore the way that the story of America's past is both hidden within, and integrated into, the patchwork of DC's ever evolving landscape. Where applicable, Yashar also invited us to view depictions of original or alternate design proposals for some of the city's most beloved and iconic monuments and buildings (the Jefferson Memorial). These design comparisons provided us with an equally intriguing window into the world of what might have been.

Yashar remained a patient and affable guide throughout the tour, despite (or in spite of) the sweltering 95 degree heat. In true American spirit, we were given the liberty to set our own tour agenda that, armed with our trusty itinerary, we tailored in accordance with our desired pace and priorities. Robert proved a willing vacation photographer and we thank him for contributing his compositions to our family photo alblum (cloud file?). I suppose it would be poor review etiquette if I failed to note that, as personal guided tours in popular destination cities go, Discover Dc Pedicab Tours is a reasonably priced option that is particularly well suited to the needs of limited mobility tourists.

**As an, admittedly partisan, side-note:
Pedicab tours are one of the few enviornmentally friendly methods of sight seeing. l heartily recommend them as an effective means of mitigating the weight of any latent air-travel emissions guilt baggage you may be lugging around the Capital, or anywhere you travel.
**As an, arguably non-partisan, side-note: Nonpartisan Pedicab is a small business and Yashar is clearly a dedicated and hard working pedicab tour guide! We should all be supporting small business in local communities as recognition regarding the value of that support appears, based my limited experience, to be one of the few remaining issues that even the partisan are happily made party to. Cheers Yashar, thank you for helping me overcome the limitations of my inner flamingo and for helping this (not) walking mother-daughter disaster team to check all of DC's best and brightest off our bucket lists.

Shaady was an absolute pro! Our schedule was up in the air and she worked us in last minute. She had a wealth of fun trivia and conversation topics, took us to a great selection of monuments and sights, and took photos of the whole experience. We found her on Bring Fido, and our pup had as much fun as we did. Highly recommend.

Discover DC Tours led a fantastic tour of the Monuments & White House for my out of town guests during my wedding weekend. They arrived on time to the hotel to pick up my guests. My guests loved the experience! The tour guides were friendly and engaging. They made history fun. I definitely recommend this for any future wedding couple with out of town guests. It’s entertaining and a different experience for your guests. It takes little effort to book & coordinate because Discover DC Tours is quick to respond and has lots of experience with groups.

I had always seen pedicabs around but never took a tour with one. Even though I'm a DC resident, I loved taking a tour around the monuments with Discover DC. The owner/Cab driver Shaady was so personable and made our ride so fun. Our visitors loved touring DC this way also because it gave them a chance to see all the sites without having to walk or worry about driving and finding parking etc. Weather you are from out of town and here to visit or a local, I highly recommend them.

The tour was awesome for our family me and my two kids absolutely loved it they even got some trivia questions right and they learned stuff and we got souvenirs! last year we went on the Christmas tree tour and we got to see the capital Christmas tree some pretty lights downtown and we ended at the White House Christmas tree.
We came back to DC to visit my nephew and decided to do it again in November for Thanksgiving around time because we’re here in town again. It was one of the only things that was open and super Covid friendly out in the open air my kids even got blankets and my wife and I well we got wasted and it was great we got some on the go alcoholic adult beverages that embellished our enthusiastic and amazing tour. Great for family great for kids I highly recommend two thumbs up!

My friend visiting from Germany wanted to see the monuments and stuff... I realized I did not know much about it even though I’ve lived in DC area for 40 years! lol. So we took a pedi cab tour with Discover DC. It was cold outside but our guide kept us warm with a big blanket and an even warmer personality! It was so interesting and fun as she provided us with historical facts and fun trivia. I learned so much about my own town and had a blast! Gonna do it again soon!!

My sister surprised me and bought us a monument tour. I lived in the D.C. area for years but saw parts of the city I've never been to before. My tour guide was a hoot- really funning, entertaining and knowledgeable about the monuments and U.S. History. She asked us trivia questions while we rode and we had a great time.

I had THE best experience with Discover DC Tours. I'm a Washington native but decided to go on a pedicab tour when my friends were visiting from Texas. Shaady, the owner, was our guide. She has a fantastic sense of humor and contagious positive energy, which made the ride an incredible experience!! She is also truly knowledgable, so I learned a lot!

I’ve had the pleasure of taking a couple discover dc pedicab tours with Shaady, and I must say, not only did she make me feel right at home - she is also extra knowledgeable about the city’s history, highly professional, and has a sense of humor unlike any other you’ll ever meet! I know the rest of her staff have the same level of caliber when it comes to giving you an amazing experience while being transported in a unique way. Highly recommended, especially if you want to see DC from a point of view you’ve never seen before - as a visitor OR a local!

I hired Discover DC for the pride festival and it was honestly the best decision! I attend the pride parade every year on foot but this year really topped them all. My pedicabber Sina was knowledgable, fun, entertaining and efficient as we weaved in and out of pride day traffic. I would highly recommend a ride with Discover DC whether your are a local like me or from out of town!!

I've taken a few rides with shaady. She is an amazing soul and super entertaining to ride around with. Once she even gave me a free pair of redskins socks! She has a lot of passion for biking and for showing people around her city! Highly recommended hopping on one of her pedicabs!!!

Everything is a bit shut down right now so I’ve been cooped up in the city. Found out Discover DC is still open and decided to take a tour to see all the monuments because I’ve never taken the time to do that and it was so much fun! Definitely brought me some joy in this boring time.
