I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 20 years. They have the best homemade food! I love the rustic atmosphere. Homemade bread, rolls, pizza dough. Every Saturday night they serve the best prime rib! Their pies are insane! Servings are enough for 2-3 people. Benson is a small town, The Wheel In. Is basically the reason to make Benson a destination. About 1 mile off Route 22A between Orwell and Fair Haven. If you’re ever driving though, it is worth the short detour!

Not from the area and the restaurant was recommended to us. Food was amazingly good. (We had the burgers) Staff was friendly and down to earth. (Like family) We also met Bob the cat.

Rolled in for lunch during a day of riding motorcycles last Saturday. It was busy, but we got sat and served in a pretty decent timeframe for how large our group was and how packed the restaurant was. Our waitress was witty and entertaining, a real change from the dull service I usually encounter elsewhere. Wheel burger was very good and the water and beer was nice and cold. I doubt I'll be back in this area again soon, bit if I am I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Thanks for having us!

Dinner was good, not as amazing as I was hoping for, but it was good. Also, not as many selections for certain things either, such as seafood. Lots of fried options for just about anything. Dessert though, was fantastic. I would go for dinner and just order a dessert sampler if that were possible!

Absolutely the best food! Never have had the slightest problem here. Employees always friendly and courteous. Always big portions, always surprising how GREAT they make each dish! Huge selection of yummy pies! Really enjoy the atmosphere.

Everything I had was amazing. The pancake had a thin crispy layer and a fluffy inside. The eggs and bacon were not smothered in grease. Everything must have been fresh. This was the best food near Lake bomoseen when I visited.

Very nice off the beaten path place. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff, & the food was good. Would definitely come back.

We only stopped in for coffee during a long road trip thru Vermont and also walked out with an enormous slice of carrot cake that we enjoyed for 2 days!!

The vibe tlhere was amazingly friendly and it truly seemed that there were numerous locals and everybody knew each other.

We will definitely stop there for breakfast or lunch next time we pass through!

All in all very enjoyable. Comfortable family atmosphere and good food.

Really fun experience. Asparagus eggs Benedict was amazing. Éclairs were delicious too !

Pie! And where else can you be threatened by your server with a super soaker?! Very much enjoyed lunch and ate and laughed until it hurt. Highly recommend.

Love the breakfast! Small town Vermont charm and fantastic food. Out of the way, but worth a stop. The corned beef hash is so good, pancakes perfect, and if you luck into a cinnamon roll with maple frosting consider yourself lucky. Will return over and over.

If you want a delicious comfort food experience, this is your place. The best burger found in Central VT. Their French fries are hand cut too. Leave room for their lengthy dessert list too.

My grandma was a cook there. I still have fond memories of that place today.

I went on a Monday for their Mexican menu. I ordered the chicken Chimichangas, my favorite Mexican dish, and they were the best I ever had. Chicken was cooked perfectly, the outside was super crispy and the portion was huge!
I'll go back and have some of their other dishes. When I do, I'll update this review. This place came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint.
