The Pond Bar & Grill

This was my 2nd year coming to eat here while on vacation. The food was amazing!! Love this place and wish I were local I would eat here often!! This last visit I had fish tacos for the first time. They were a 10!! I am convinced these will be the best ones I have ever had. The drink specials are always great and made perfectly. Lively crowd..great music and service. Highly recommend!!

We came in here looking for a late night place to eat this spring. Most places were not open late night since it was off season but we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with The Pond. All four members of our party liked their food which is rare. The hamburgers were delicious, as were the pub pretzels and the Mac and cheese. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The prices reasonable. There was even Live music while we ate. This is one of my favorite spots so far in Rehoboth beach I would definitely recommend going here when you are hungry or craving a late night eatery.

Right from stepping into this unassuming bar and grill I felt welcomed and comfortable. I chose to sit over on the bar side and my sever, Sam, was attentive, but gave me the space to mull over the menu as I was being indecisive. After talking with him I landed on the Reuben and it was delicious! Nearly melted in mouth while eating it. Everything was hot and fresh. Whether you live in the area or are visiting the beach I would highly recommend you stop in at The Pond.

With so many options in the area this one turned out to be really good. First time here, place was clean and food was good. We mostly had typical bar foods, cheesesteak, burgers, wraps and some cheesesteak fry thing; all good. A little expensive but I think the prices are comparable to everything else along this strip especially during vacation season.

Well this was a pleasant surprise. I'm not a sports bar person, they tend to be loud and rowdy but I can understand their appeal to fans of various games. Thankfully by design Ponds has erected a large glass wall to buffer the more enthusiastic merry-makers and their cries joy or dismay to the bar area proper. My ears are saved and I can still enjoy coverage of numerous games on the many screens surrounding the dining area.

The decor is pleasant with large wooden booths and tables with comfy seating. There is enough room to bring a crowd for a night out or maybe a date night or lunch with the squad. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgable of the menu and other features of the bar. The drink menu alone would take a few trips to finally sample it all.

I was most impressed by the food. At first glance it seems like your typical stick-to-your ribs bar-fare. But thought and care were put into these humble dishes. We ordered fried pickles, and were blown away by the crisp fried batter and fresh snap of this southern staple. By far the best fried pickles I've ever had. The mussels were perfectly cooked in a garlic butter sauce with just a slight hint of rosemary. The mains were just enough. The portion sizes were satisfying but not overly large. I loved that I could enjoy my appetiser and main without coming away stuffed or hauling an armload of doggy bags.

I'm of course planning a return trip, and bringing a few more friends.

A place to remember! I was out with a group of 8 (family members) we just left the movies, it was about 9:45, we actually went to the Applebee's first to eat, but they had an hour wait. So we were looking for places that were open, all the places closed at 10pm in Rehoboth. I happen to stumble upon The Pond. We arrived and they were jamming inside with a live band. We were seated practically as soon as we came in. Ordered our food, some items were sold out, which was understandable, but the food was blazing. I got the cheese steak fries, oh baby! It was supposed to be waffle fries, but they had to use regular fries, it was still banging! My wife had the tenders, she said they were just ok. Everyone else in the party enjoyed their food. We had a memorable time at the Pond.

Honestly, went here with my girlfriend and absolutely loved the food! Our waitress was Kathleen and she def went above and beyond. We both got the short rib grilled cheese sandwiches, fantastic! Kathleen even got the chef to add a layer of the mac and cheese onto the sandwich for me (by far the best sandwich I’ve ever had).

We will def be back to this spot next year, props to this place they went above and beyond for us!

Great local institution. Wednesday night is open mic night (high energy fun!) and half price sandwiches during the off season. The sandwiches are fantastic. The wait staff are friendly and pleasant. This is a good night spot when you are in Rehoboth Beach.

Fries were ok . Whiskey in the dark burger was good , good flavor , CHICKEN WINGS WERE SOME OF THE BEST IVE EVER HAD . Top 3 of best chicken wings I've ever had .

Cool bar, wasn't packed it's clear they are following covid guidelines. The band was amazing and so was the seafood salad.

We have tried (almost) everything on the the menu with the purpose of being able to offer our experience here to you. Amazing. Everything has been delicious. Drinks are on point. Staff is home. And management rocks because he listens to all constructive criticism. We love it here. It’s our new hang out.

There's no better or friendlier staff in Rehoboth than at The Pond. Good food; groovy local entertainers/musicians; interesting cocktails and an eclectic list of beer. All good. But it's the staff that makes everything awesome. The owner, is a bit of a grumpy grouchy, but everything else is on point.

Cannot say enough about the entire experience at The Pond. Visiting from Wisconsin and I'm bummed to say I won't be back for football Sunday every week! They do everything right - both professional and over the top fun. Our server was absolutely fantastic in terms of service/attentiveness and friendliness. The operations manager was there as a patron and he was absolutely great at helping his staff host the busy eventful day. From top to bottom there is nothing but positive remarks. Gameday specials were great, food was fresh and delicious, restaurant was clean and well prepared for the crowd. If ever back in Rehoboth area, The Pond will be a must stop for me and my wife.

While visiting Lewes for an annual girls weekend, we went to dinner at The Pond Bar and grill. This restaurant was a treat! Not only did they have live music and great food, but the service was above and beyond. If you're looking for a good meal and a fun time, definitely check them out.

This was a great place to go off season, late on a weeknight. The bartender was friendly, the beer he recommended was delicious.

Went for the Eagles v. Giants game. We are newbies to RB only 2 weeks here. Damn it was fun, lots of Eagles fans, nice, friendly crowd, made friends fast too. Will be back. P. S. Lots of Delco people, it was fun finding out where everyone was from. Prospect Park, Ridley, Darby, Havertown! Will go back and see Sam our bartender, nice guy, super friendly too.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place, we found it one night after I got off work and most places were closed. Ever since we’ve loved this place and everything we’ve had on the menu is amazing. The staff is amazing so is the food, drinks, and atmosphere. My new favorite bar

Service was pleasant, but drink orders were wrong 3 out of 4 times. Food was ehh, some left their food and chalked it up to a loss. They just opened, hopefully they work out the kinks soon.

Update:
No need for a gift card. Stopped by the other day to give them a second chance. I’m glad I did. Forgot how awesome their burgers are. Looks like they’re back!

The drinks were perfect, not too strong, not too weak. The sandwiches were very delicious. Service was great, fries were hot when they arrived and sandwich was messy in a good way, had the BBQ. The cute bartender w/ long braided hair, kept her regulars happy and smiling. Her smile lights up the entire place. It's a small but clean and friendly little place. We were tourists and we visited in the afternoon, we meant to come back in the evening but didn't get the chance. When we visit again we'll stop in for an early dinner, for sure. We even bought T shirts. The locals are friendly w/ the tourists in this bar. In fact, Rehoboth Beach itself; is very tourist friendly and fun. Not too over crowded either.
