DECLARATION RESTAURANT

“Pizza restaurant” is an understatement. This farm to table restaurant is incredible. Our server took time to explain everything to us and was very hospitable. Their burger went above and beyond for the same price you would pay anywhere else. Will be going back.

Stopped by here before a show at 9:30 Club! Cozy atmosphere and really tasty food! I recommend the Brussel sprouts :)

Wanted a nice dinner before going to a concert at a nearby arena. I got balsamic glazed chix wings and brussel sprouts. Absolutley delicious!! My guest got fettuccine and corn bread. Appropriate sized portions. Very tasty. Will return.

Great artisan cocktails, the fried mozzarella is always good...enjoy dropping in here anytime and certainly before catching a movie across the street.

Been here a few times before but most recently as a last minute late dinner spot for my birthday. There’s almost never a wait due to the large space. Definitely has a fun social vibe and the waiters are ALWAYS great. They were super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Great pizza selection as well!

Very nice restaurant that serve pizza and other meals in a great location

Excellent house-made cocktails and delicious pizza, and all reasonably priced. The cocktails were phenomenal, especially the Mezcal one and the American Mule, and pretty inexpensive for DC ($8-10). Pizzas were also very good.

This restaurant was incredible all around! It was recommended from our airbnb host and it did not disappoint! We ordered the fried mozzarella and chicken wings to start. Both dishes were delicious! The mozzarella was very fresh and the chicken wings were crispy and it had a layer underneath of a creamy bleu cheese sauce. Yum! For dinner we ordered the William Ellery, RI pizza and it was so light, flaky and scrumptious!! Plus Javier who seated and brought us our food and drinks was extremely attentive and friendly! Wished we lived in the area as we would definitely make this a regular spot to eat.

Can't say enough good things about my experience here. The decor is beautiful and industrial, the food is amazing, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, and the staff truly cares about customer service. We ordered the deviled eggs, MD pizza, the meatball, and the gnocchi mac, all four of which were incredible, the meatball probably being one of the best things I've ever tasted. The gnocchi mac came out a bit slowly, but the manager brought it over personally, apologized, and comped from the check. We will certainly be repeat customers!

Loved the service, food and wine! I will definitely come back. They did a great job accommodating my allergies.

The staff totally made our experience here. After leaving a show at the 930club, we decided we needed a 4th meal and Declaration seemed perfect. We had their pizza and risotto, both were fantastic. Originally they suggested the mac and cheese, which I'm sure is heavenly as well. Our waiter was so quick and professional, and conversed with us even as he rushed around cleaning and delivering food. It was a pleasant surprise considering it was a last minute, unplanned visit.

Declaration is a great little place for meeting up with friends, waiting out rush hour or grabbing a bite before heading over to the 930 club. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. Their brick oven pizzas are great and my friends always get the deviled eggs. Their variation on a Moscow Mule is my favorite.

We Ordered the house meatballs and Brooklyn pizza. Fantastic! Meatballs and sauce had some unexpected spice and were delicious. Pizza was great as well. Great service and food all around.

They have a shrimp and spinach pizza that's to die for and they have a cheese pizza with butternut squash as the sauce that blew my mind!

Cute little place with good food. The happy hour selections are delicious. The portions are larger than normal and at a reasonable price. Great spot to visit before a 9:30 club show, too!

Declaration Restaurant is a pizza-focused bistro that references American history with themed pies and 17,500 nickels on a wall.

Since we arrived early for a nearby apartment showing, my boyfriend and I decided to partake in happy hour at Declaration Restaurant. Our bartender Shawn/Sean was friendly and hospitable. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner.

For drinks, we enjoyed the American Mule, which consisted of a blend of vodka, ginger, and fresh lime and was served in a chilled copper mug; and the Independence Punch, which consisted pisco, mango liquer, oleo saccharin, and lavender bitters. I liked how the American Mule was sweeter than the typical Moscow Mule.

For light bites, we shared the Tomato Burrata Crostini, which consisted of a naan flatbread topped with whipped burrata, olive oil tomatoes and burrata, and finished with a basil balsamic drizzle. I loved how the ingredients were fresh and the combination of flavors. It was enough to hold our stomachs for the next hour.

Next time, we hope to try some of their pizzas.

Great prices on HH, drinks were good, pizza was awesome and so was the meatball. The bruschetta was a bit of a let down and I wouldnt order it again but everything else was great. Service was outstanding, great place to come to before the 930 club.

Really nice ambiance. I had the Philly cheese steak, thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a nice, intimate place you can have a good conversation with a friend and not be drowned out.
