Sushada is the best and truly understands what works best for your hair type, whether it's color, cut, shape, or treatment. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is SO sweet and makes you feel comfortable and confident. She is also generally one of the coolest people I know and always makes me feel like I am in good hands. I've never been dedicated to a hair stylist before, but Sushada changed that for me. I wish I had found her sooner in life so she could have saved me from some hair disasters! The best is that Sushada takes such time and care in her work, and always makes sure you leave her salon looking your best.

I would recommend Sushada to ANYONE looking for a trim/cut/color/style or anything in between in DC.

Sushada is the best! I have seen her every time I was in DC since 2017 and have loved every haircut she’s ever given me. It is particularly important to me that my haircuts grow out well and suit my round face shape. She has always been outstandingly meticulous and creative to adapt the pictures I show her to my face as well as to ensure that the hairstyles stay stunning when longer. Sushada is a true artist. She has been doing my hair for five years now. And, in the five years that I've known her, I have lived in Michigan, California, Virginia, and DC. But, I always come back to DC for Sushada. If you give her a few pictures of the "look" you want, she will capture the essence of it and give you a cut even better than anticipated. She is somehow able to understand what you want and make the most flattering cut possible. For my long-haired friends: look no further, Sushada will work miracles by keeping the length you want while cleaning up the ends.

If you're wondering whether you need a nice haircut during covid-times, the answer is YES. Sushada made me feel like a person again after months of braids and messy buns. Even if it is just for myself, I will be wearing my fabulous hair down all around the house. Please find my attached picture. I asked for an "updated Brooke Shields" look to go with my covid eyebrows and she DELIVERED. It was exactly what I wanted and more.

This salon is also extremely safe and adheres to strict covid safety guidelines. Everyone (including the salon staff) is temperature-checked upon arrival, and social distancing is in place. Sushada carefully disinfected my chair before and after my visit. Blanca did an incredible job washing my hair and massaging my scalp. I was concerned that Blanca's gloves would pull at my hair, but I honestly couldn't tell she was wearing them.

I very much recommend giving her a try. You will probably become a Sushada-lifer like me.

Sushada gave me a beautiful and thoughtful haircut. She asks questions and takes the time to make sure everything is level, there are no split ends and the style suits your face. It's been almost a month and my hair is growing out so well, maintaining the style she made.

Sushada?!?? IS MY NEW GIRL! She is a MASTER of her craft!! She is full of knowledge and experience and felt I was in SUCH good hands. She spent so much time cutting and layering my hair in all different directions, and SO efficiently. It was very reassuring that she knew what my vision was. I showed her inspo pics and she asked questions. Instead of putting a haircut on my head like a lego hair piece she customized it to my face and made it my own tailored cut. This is my second haircut in DC. In the past, I have had unfortunate luck at hair salons with stylists not understanding what I truly want, miscommunications, or lack of understanding my hair type. I have very fine hair and tons of it so I’m always trying to obtain volume and ask for very layered hair.
I DIY my haircut a few weeks ago (because I was so discouraged from my last experience) and it needed correcting BAD. I did a quick google search and found Sushada. Her client photos are what made me make my appointment. I feel most stylist showcase more of their hair coloring and not as much as the hair cut itself, but Shushada had client photos with similar attributes to what I was trying to achieve. 15/10!

Sushada was so knowledgeable and her work is so high quality - I’m very happy with the wave perm I got from her. I naturally have stubborn, super straight hair and she made sure to talk me through all of my options for shape and style and let me know how to best maintain my new hair texture. It turned out amazing!

Sushada is amazing! She is an artist and always gives me a fabulous haircut. One thing that I absolutely love about her is that she doesn’t just give you a haircut for today, she gives you a haircut that grows in elegantly. She minds all the details and takes the time to make sure that my haircut is perfect. I can’t recommend Sushada enough, she is super talented (and also an incredibly sweet person!) and one of DC’s hidden gems.

Sushada is an artist!!! She was so thoughtful and creative about how to help me grow out my hair after chemotherapy. She turned a grown out mess into an absolute work of art of a French bob. She’s so kind and is a joy to spend time with! Can’t wait to go back.

Sushada is the best, she always takes the time to talk and consult with me as to my hair needs and wants. I feel listened to and the results are always spectacular. I have known her about 30 years and even though I have moved out of the area off -on, upon my return, I always come back to her. She is the only stylist that gets my curly unruly hair, she has taught me how to tame it, and I have never been disappointed with her work. She is still on top of all the hair trends and enjoys learning new techniques. The price of her service is worth every dollar. Sushada is a quiet stylist, but that is only because she is focusing on her work, she is a perfectionist and she is fully committed to your satisfaction. I am a particular and finicky client and through all these years I've had countless hairstyles and hair colors, and I have never been disappointed with Sushada's work... that is an amazing feat.

I don't normally post reviews on Google, but felt that Sushada 100% deserved a great review! This was my first perm EVER and Sushada was amazing. She consulted with me, answered all my questions, and gave me recommendations based on my unique hair. The final result was exactly what I was looking for! If you are looking for a professional, skilled hair stylist, look no further. I will definitely be going back.

My family started going to see Sushada in 2016 and we keep coming back! She's so personable and gentle with each of us. Everyone is always happy with the cut they get! She has a great eye for style and provides helpful tips for better maintenance between cuts. Thank you for your amazing work!

Sushada is amazing. She’s cut my hair twice and both times, I have LOVED the cut and the layers she’s added. I also recently visited her to get balayage, with an idea of what I wanted, and Sushada took the time to talk with me and advised on how to get aspects of the look I wanted in a way that would complement my natural hair/skin color. I’m so happy with the result- Sushada is an artist :) She’s so focused and always does a great job, I’m lucky I found out about her from yelp/google!

Just moved to DC and was scared about going to a new hair stylist, but Sushada was probably the best salon experience I’ve ever had! Sushada had recommendations about my cut and color and thank god I trusted her instincts because I love my hair! She gave me curtain bangs, put layers in, and gave me the perfect color balayage. She really takes her time considering what will be the best outcome, and she’s so friendly. I’m definitely going back next time I need anything hair related and if you’re looking for a balayage, Sushada is the best in the game!! 10/10 highly recommend

I have fine, not so great hair but ever since Sushada has been cutting it I routinely get complements on my hair. She’s listens to what you want but she’s also incredibly creative and skilled. I’ve been going to her for years and now travel to come back to DC for my cuts. At this point in our hair relationship I don’t even tell her what to do and I am NEVER disappointed.

I have not cut my hair since 2019 as I focused on being a care giver for a loved one. A quick business trip to D.C. gave me an unusual night free and Sushana took amazing care of me! She made me feel at home despite being far from it and my haircut was exactly what I wanted. She is a treasure that I wish was closer to my own home.
