I've frequented Chez Lily Cafe for lunch on multiple occasions, and each visit has been a delightful experience. Their tuna salad sandwiches are a standout, boasting a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The croissants are a flaky indulgence, and the crumb cake is a sweet treat that never disappoints. Just moved into an apt. bldg. steps away from here so, being gluten-intolerant, I really appreciated that you had a gluten-free bakery/food option that I could eat!

The GF banana bread was delicious, as was my flat white latte. Such a cute atmosphere and friendly service as well. — Will definitely be back very often I’m sure, especially being so close to me!

Just after getting rejected from a cafe down the street with my dog, I stroll a little ways and find Chez Lily. This place is super dog friendly and has amazing coffee (from Vigilante Coffee). I got a cold brew for a super hot day in DC and it was super flavorful and exactly what I needed. They even have refreshments (water bowl lol) for your pups. I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m in the area.

What a lovely cafe filled with treats and great coffee. Stop by and sit at the bar along the window or at a table and enjoy! Even bring your dog for a visit. I loved the Zaatar Flatbread with cucumbers and tomatoes. Delicious!

This coffee shop is adorable and has great coffee (they use Vigilante Coffee). They offer a small food menu but enough variety for me. Please support this small business.

My spouse and I have visited nearly every coffee shop in the area, and Chez Lily is consistently one of our favorites. Their food options are delicious (and reasonably priced, which is so rare in DC!) and the coffee is always great. Plus, it’s dog-friendly! What more could you ask for?

Chez Lily is my favorite coffee shop. The owner is an absolute angel spreading positivity all throughout the shop. It is a great place to sit and get some work done or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee or a light bite. Make sure to try their vibrant coffee as well as their mouthwatering bagels. I LOVE CHEZ LILY!

Love this place! Excellent coffee and atmosphere. Not overly crowded and loud like other coffee shops in the area. They have free WiFi too, which is rare these days. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed.

I worked in 425I just down from this coffee shop and had never gone in. My boss and I decided to check it out one day and it quickly became a regular occurrence. The staff are amazing! Lama (the owner), Glynda, Iyanna and all of them were always friendly, professional, and very welcoming. This is a hidden gem if you’ve never stopped by. I recommend the cauliflower pizza (chicken pesto) 😂😂😂 Great people and a great vibe! Every chance i get, I’ll stop by! Customer for life!

I am the Property Manager of 450K apartments and only a few steps away from Chez Lily. We've had the pleasure of working with Chez Lily for many resident events. I love that they are truly pet friendly. I enjoy going in and seeing dogs from the neighborhood. They have great lunch options which surprises many because they are thought of as a cafe only. I always recommend especially to our prospective residents when touring.

Been going here for the past few weeks and its definitely my new favorite coffee place in DC. Great iced lattes and the baked goods are amazing. The muffins are some of the very best I've ever had. Every single thing my girlfriend and I have had here is delicious and the prices are extremely fair for the portions.

This used to be a good convenient place for morning coffee. But lately I have been getting acidic tasting coffee ( black drip coffee). Like when you let it sit for a long time.... I hate to leave bad reviews but I have had to throw it down the drain and go out again at another place.

Update: owner did respond back so updating stars. I will give it a try again and ask for a different cup if it does not taste right.

Chez Lily is a cozy coffee house located at 425 I Street NW, Washington, DC. And in addition to cold and hot brews..Iyana (the barista) keeps a relaxing vibe going. Thank you Chez Lily for being a part of the neighborhood!

Small but cute and cozy cafe next to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I've been here two or three times so far. Coffee is great - it has a really pleasant after taste to it (imo). Today I went here for a quick bite to eat as it gets super busy during lunch time and picked up a tuna salad sandwich. Pretty good sandwich, the best part is the bread, which was warm and on the softer side. The baristas are really nice too.

Best breakfast in the area. Unlike most cafes in DC, they know how to make and serve a cortado with the correct amount of steamed milk and in a small glass instead of a big paper cup. I've had the hummus breakfast sandwich on ciabatta and the avocado toast and both are delicious. The barista is also very nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

This friendly and low-key cafe is my go-to choice for sustenance while at work. Artfully crafted espresso and tea drinks (including seasonal options) with many non-dairy milk options (try the macadamia milk!), strong and flavorful drip coffee at a discount with a traveler mug, and decadent pastries and snacks. Also has delicious soups and flatbreads for a quick lunch (lentil veggie soup and za'atar and labne flatbread are my favorites). To top it all off, it is dog friendly inside and the staff are always pleasant!

I tried this one Sunday morning when I couldn’t stomach the long line at Baked Joint. Really cute space with excellent cold brew. It’s not too crowded and there’s WiFi — perfect for working. I’ll definitely come again.
