Sunshine Octopus

We really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful art and love the two matching hoodies we purchased. Friendly, helpful staff, good prices; best part overall was the Greatful Dead dresses, holy pasture of cows- those are amazing!

(August 2022). Awesome place! We stay in Fenwick Island each year & decided to search out "hippie places" to shop at & found Sunshine Octopus (about 25 min drive from Fenwick Island). We drove there one evening to check it out & loved it. There's so much to choose from & something for everyone. My family bought some patchwork pants/shorts, fanny pack, grateful Dead shirt & I bought a grateful dead sticker for our VW bus. A few days later I got home & of course lost it. I called to see if I could buy another one to send to me & they did! It was actually at my house in Pennsylvania in 2 days. We will be making this place a stop when we're on vacation each year! I appreciate the promptness & customer service. I'll add a picture of my bus once I put the sticker on it.

Edit #1 (August 2023): just stopped in while on vacation & was greeted with kindness & a bigger selection than last year to choose from. Once again, it was a great place. My family/kids love it there. It was great meeting Mark & his wife (owners) this year. ✌ keep doing what you're doing!

I think I've gotten the most compliments I've ever received while wearing the short overall romper. The price isn't bad and all the clothes are one of a kind. I will be giving Sunshine Octopus all my money

Great staff! They were incredibly patient with my indecisiveness. Dog friendly shop. Bought a bunch of fun stickers some jewelry and a few bandanas for my dog on this most recent visit. Have been stopping in annually for over 25 years. Will continue to do so.

This is the absolute best tie dye place around. I love coming here- in fact I try to come as much as possible because they’re always getting such beautiful, unique stuff in. I love how they’re keeping their employees and customers safe by requiring masks- it’s a very responsible decision. Over the years I have acquired dozens of shirts, dresses, pants, etc. from here and every time I wear one I always get compliments and questions about where I got it. Everything here is the best quality and the employees are always the kindest. Sunshine Octopus is my favorite store here in Rehoboth Beach hands down!!!!

Absolutely In love with their size inclusion. I’m anywhere between a XL-2x. There’s very limited places that even have Larges on the boardwalk. The people that work there always make us feel comfortable and welcome. I spent almost 200 dollars between yesterday and today and it was very worth it! All the pieces fit great and even their “one size fits all” could actually fit a wide variety of body sizes. Thank you all so much, my boyfriend and I are very thankful that you’re here every year when we come back!

Come back every year for your wonderful selection of merchandise, staff is always so helpful and lovely! Exchanges are effortless! My bf and I feel so safe coming in for a visit! Thank you for doing your part to stop the spread! Much love fam!

Walked by this store on a gloomy, cold Saturday morning in January and it not only brightened my day but my wardrobe as well! Such fun options to choose from! From not your average tie dye shirts to super fun accessories! Staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Helped me with the biggest smiles and we had lovely conversations!

I have been going here since they first opened. I love the clothing and I agree the prices are slightly higher. I would buy a lot more if prices were more reasonable, but its a niche business. Most of the items come from other countries . I will buy one or two things I love and if possible come back for a sale.
They always have excellent customer service and strive to get customers in and out in a timely manner.The store stays neat and organized, you see people straightening and helping customers to keep it that way. The organization of the store also helps with giving fantastic customer service. They can always find and suggest additional items.

I absolutely love this store they care about the community. For those of you that are trashing them for simply asking to wear a mask are disrespectful. They are nothing but genuine and amazing. The products are worth the price. Lets support small businesses!

I wandered in here 10-15 years ago or so, and I just went back today. I just hope it won't be 15 more years before I get to stop in again!!

Every year I come to Sunshine Octopus on my birthday to get a new tie dyed dress, and their selection is perfect. They have a wide variety of sizes and designs to choose from. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and very accommodating. They are one of the best, and longest running, stores in Rehoboth. They also have amazing childrens clothing (tie dye and other things like sundresses), tee shirts, tote bags/purses, and lots of other things. I hope they are planning to stay in business for a long time!

I go there every year I go on vacation. I love this shop. I get a new purse every year, plus other little things like earrings, stickers, and headbands. The staff is always wonderful and willing to help. Stop in you will be very happy you did.

This is a Rehoboth Beach must see!! This is always my favorite and most memorable store when I come to visit the beach. Super friendly staff, awesome clothes and tapestries, and great prices for a lot of their merchandise.
