Just what you are looking for in a pub! Very friendly staff, a good crowd and decent food. I was staying at the hotel around the corner and went there my first night in town. The staff treated me like I was a regular, I was very impressed by the welcoming vibe. I went back again and they actually remembered me from my previous time in.

Above and beyond service when we came during a very busy time! We came for a late dinner during National Police Week, and our server Nicole was amazing and attentive! She managed the chaos of a packed patio with orders for food and drink coming from every direction with grace and a smile on her face!
Our drinks and food came quick, and we were checked on regularly. The fish and chips and Guinness stew were so good!
The biggest takeaway from our visit here was the great customer service from Nicole! She made our night!

This is a very casual, local Irish pub and I loved it. On a weekend, a football (soccer) tourney was on and the place was packed and loud with cheers. The hostess had graciously made room for 4 of us and I enjoyed the fish & chips. Others really enjoyed their food, as well...salads, sandwiches, nachos, etc.

It is quite the area when walking through Chinatown, though. We had come from the Portrait Gallery and are not tourists, but it was like walking through our own version of Skid Row. I don't remember that area being as bad as it was. (The things we saw and things we were offered aren't for the light of heart.) If you can go around another way, the few extra minutes may be worth it.

Otherwise, go! It would be fun to hang out here again.

I took my husband here for a birthday lunch. He ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the salmon avocado salad. Both were amazing!! The salad had fresh ingredients and even the dressing tasted homemade. The fish and chips were fried to perfection and melted in your mouth. Service was excellent and we were made to feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and inviting and I can’t wait to return once the outdoor patio is open. Many thanks to the owners for making my husband’s birthday special and ensure he felt celebrated.

Are there twice. The Irish Stew and Fish and Chips are both excellent. I don't usually drink beer, but thought I should give it a try with the stew, so had a Guiness, which was delicious. Sat outside both times- that was very nice and got to enjoy the church bells chiming across the street. Service was friendly with perfect timing throughout the meal.

An amazing ambience, perfectly complemented by a flawless serving of Guiness and a good old delicious Shepherd's pie just topped of my Saturday evening visit to this place. This place has the perfect combination of a casual diner and "hole in the wall" vibes. One of my friends had a Moscow mule, which was great, too. Definitely recommend if you are in DC.

I love a good shepard's pie, but they can be hard to find. This shepard's pie was fantastic. The gravy/sauce of the meat was rich and deep. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, the peas still had body and weren't mush. The mashed potatoes were buttery and flavorful. If you want great Irish food, this is the place to go.

This is THE Irish Pub in DC. Vibes, food, drinks, it's everything you're looking for in a pub. We've been trying to find a place with a full Irish breakfast and they have it, too! The fish and chips is a huge portion, perfectly done, and they pour Guinness PERFECTLY. We'll definitely be going back many many times.

Came to watch an Arsenal match at 11:30, the barman was very friendly and incredibly attentive throughout. I also had the breakfast burrito which was perfect for what I wanted and reasonably priced. Good pints, good location, and great staff. Definitely recommended to come to watch a match or just to have a few pints.

Went on a Saturday night and it was great! I had the Guinness Stew and my friend had the sheperd’s pie - both were delicious. We tried their Irish mules (they have whiskey instead of vodka). The drinks were quite tasty. There was live music which was slightly too loud at the beginning but that was mostly due to the speakers. The wait staff was very friendly and nice.

Great beer, location, service and food. What else is needed to have a great afternoon? Nothing else.

This bar has plenty of seating inside and outside. The Guinness was just right and the sandwiches were great. I highly recommend stopping by.

An American Irish bar and everything that means. A great break from the corporate places they seem to be over running DC. A pleasant surprise is a couple of traditional Irish dishes executed really well. Guinness Stew and Spice Bag stand out.

We had a late lunch: terrific food and service. We had the Guinness stew and corned beef and cabbage which had a parsley horseradish sauce we wanted to pour into a pint glass and drink as is.

Of course my first go to....the waitress was so friendly. I really enjoyed our dinner and experience due to her service. We enjoyed the ruin sandwich, a cheesesteak sandwich, and a grilled cheese.

This place is a must do! We were greeted with ice cold water as soon as we walked in (we had walked a mile to get here and it was so hot out). We had the best Shepherds Pie I have ever had and a delicious creme brule for dessert. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The best part? The most AMAZING staff. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Awesome pub. Stopped by for dinner after seeing the Avs beat the Caps. Walking distance from the arena. Be interested to see a proper football match there. Had the Sheppard's Pie.
