Safeway Pharmacy

Hello very pleasant pharmacy everyone is professional.

For years this Safeway existed in Hill East with a large parking lot, a rarity in the city. After a two-year renovation/demolition, Safeway reopened on the bottom floor of a condo building with an underground parking garage. Here are the new features of the new Safeway:

1) Size- it's HUGE! There are multiple entry points that take you into the front of the store where you'll get a sense of the size. The ceilings are high making it feel even bigger.

2) Amenities- there are many touches to this Safeway from a huge produce section to a cheese stand, gourmet popcorn stand, expensive wine walk-in cooler, a pharmacy and a Starbucks in the front of the store.

3) Checkout: There are many aisles to check out from including over a dozen self-check-out lanes.

4) Options: They have many more products now from allulose (zero-calorie sweetener) to hard cider to meats. Each section is well marked with signs. For example, in the dairy section they note the plant-based products.

This Safeway is worth visiting and will be a popular spot in Hill East especially with a little inside cafe area with seating and an outdoor patio.

Very professional. They are personal and manage prescriptions efficiently. Far cry from other pharmacy where I live. (CVS is horrible). Safeway Pharmacy is clean and I trust everyone there.

Great experience getting flu shot. Wife and I were got ours in about 15 minutes, start-to-finish. Very friendly and efficient!

Unbelievably long wait times - could be solved by using both pickup registers or giving folks numbers so at least they can shop while waiting

I just walked into the pharmacy to get a Covid booster. They were out of vaccines. Ok, not a problem. I’ll go somewhere else. But my interaction with the woman at the counter was not pleasant. I’ve had to deal with her before and her mannerisms and attitude are so off putting. She has no interest in the betterment of people and their health. She’s a younger lady with dark straight hair. The interaction happened Wednesday December 15 at 10:30am. She needs to do everyone a favor and step away from interacting with the clientele.

Very rude! I have never had a pleasant experience at this pharmacist. I would avoid at all cost!
