This year I wanted to do a little something different for a team building event. Instead of a dinner and night out in DC, we opted for a custom, private tour with DC Insider Tours. We had a really nice, upscale party bus and were able to bring our own snacks and drinks. Bo customized a tour based on what we wanted to see and talked about the sites in between. We all learned so much and had the most amazing time. Seeing the monuments at night was really cool and we all learned a lot! Bo had so many fun and interesting stories to tell. His passion for DC's history is unparalleled!

The night tour on the electrical bikes was a blast!!! The tour guide was very clear with instructions and never a dull moment! The views were the best. I’ve lived here all my life and learned and saw things I had never before! The best part were the bikes! Anyone can do it! And hardly any man power needed. Wrap up though because it can get chilly when you are going 30 mph!!!

Bo has amazing historical knowledge of DC and is really entertaining. They use electric bicycles made by Pedego — well maintained, zippy, and the brakes give you confidence. Added bonus? on a hot DC summer day, the breeze on an electric bike keeps you cool.

Wife and I did an electric bike tour with Bo and it was AWESOME. Whether you're a history buff or not, Bo will make your ride incredible. I've been to to DC a number of times, and Bo's electric bike tour was by far the most memorable activity I've undertaking in DC. He has all sorts of fun and interesting stories about DC. Doing the tour at night avoids all sorts of traffic and you can get-up speed on the bike. I cannot recommend this adventure enough.

A “Wheelie” Extraordinary Tour

The DC After Hours Electric Bike Tour with Bo and Becca is a MUST GO! The electric bikes are a quick, safe, and fun way to visit all the attractive sites as well as the hidden gems of DC. I have loved adventuring DC for the past 7 years, yet Bo and Becca were still able to share a ton of new fun facts and an admirable amount of knowledge with me. We did the DC After Hours electric bike tour and this was by far the absolutely best way to see all of the major sites at night. In this 2 hour tour, we were able to visit the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Supreme Court, and the Capitol with enough time at each spot for pictures. The electric bikes were also a blast to ride (up to 20-25 mph) and are actually fully electric, instead of just pedal-assist like other tours. On our tour, there were just 6 guests plus the tour guide. The small group was intimate and made it really easy to hear everything the tour guide said. Our particular guide was Matt and he was super friendly and seemed really knowledgeable about the different sites. All in all I had a great time and look forward to trying their other tours on subsequent trips to DC.

Bo and Becca are the two most knowledgeable people of DC history I've met! I've lived in Washington DC area most of my life but haven't discovered DC like the way these two have shown me. I've taken a "electric bicycle," tour of theirs...not only did I have a blast but was truly another...unique way to get around DC while learning the history of our nations capital! Bo and Becca are simply two very cool/knowledgeable guides with a unique and creative business! Highly recommend them to anyone that comes into town!

Our family just spent 3 days in D.C. with Bo guiding us around. I would have to say it was a great experience, Bo is very knowledgeable and adds a lot to the experience. "Bo knows D.C." You can tell Bo has a passion for the history of D.C. and has put a lot of work into learning facts that are not obvious and his pointing out these facts during the tour really helped us takeaway more from the experience than we would have otherwise. Bo was very easy to work with and accommodating to our family's needs and desires. I would highly recommend DC Insider Tours.

Best experience in DC. My husband and I had a great time riding the bikes all over DC with a wonderfully energetic tour guide. Bo's excitement will keep you energized all day all wanting to hear more about each building's history. Definitely a must see in the DC area!!!

I have done a tour with DC Insider Tours before, but this was the first time doing it with the electric bikes. I highly suggest if you're in DC and want to see the sights... this is the way to go. Bo and Becca are both extremely knowledgeable. Who knew learning history could be so fun!? I'm definitely doing it again when I come back! Also, night time was definitely the best time to go in the summer. Less crowded and not so hot. I went on July 29th.

Bo is GREAT! What a great way to see the city. We used the tour to really get our bearings, and get a good idea of what to see and do. Little did we know that the tour would be the highlight of our trip. Bo can point out interesting tidbits about most every building you will walk by, and give you an in depth lecture if you want to know more.
The Dc in a day tour covers about 11 miles according to our walking meters, but it was all at an easy pace, with no hurrying to move along.
By far the best way to learn about DC.

DC Insider Tours provides an amazing opportunity with their bike tours to see so much, effortlessly, in such a short time. Bo was an amazing guide, full of fun facts and interesting stories, and kept my interest the entire time. In fact, I wanted even more as the tour came to an end. I would highly recommend this to any of my friends.

FANTASTIC electric bike tour! 3 & 1/2 hours of pure fun! Bo & Tim took us all around the city of DC on electric bikes! This was the best day of our whole trip! We saw all the monuments & parks, Georgetown waterfront, Capitol Hill, the White House & so much more than we ever could have seen on foot or by car. Bo gave us a wealth of historical background & told us many interesting stories. He was enthusiastic, well studied, & brilliant! He even showed us photos of the original DC as we stopped at each place! It was fasinating to learn how DC grew into the beautiful city it is today. Our 17 year old had a blast & learned so much at the same time! My recommendation is that you take this tour on the first day of your visit to DC & then you will know exactly where you want to explore further & where you don't need to waste your time! The next time I come to DC, I plan to take a nighttime tour with these Guys! The bikes are easy & fun, & the sites are beautiful! We avoided lots of the crowds, too. Money well spent! Totally worth it!

My husband and I and some friends decided to try out DC Insider Tours for their electric bike tour of DC. I've never ridden an electric bike, but I loved the idea of not having to put a lot of energy into moving myself around DC in an efficient way. Ha! At first I was a little nervous, but the bikes ended up being SO much fun - I didn't want the tour to end! My husband was like a big kid on the bike as he learned to navigate DC in a whole new way. Bo and Becca took us to places in DC we'd never been to, even as residents of DC, and places we'd seen before, but where we were able to gain a new found appreciation of given the knowledge and passion that they have for this wonderful city! They truly love what they do and enjoy sharing their love for DC with others. I highly recommend taking a tour with Becca and Bo and if you want to try something new/different while not exerting a whole lot of energy - try the electric bikes! These would be great for couples, families with older kids, and anyone who wants to zip around the city to see a lot and not spend the time of walking the whole city or just wants to try something new. Seeing the national mall and the Capitol at night were incredible! Thanks Becca and Bo!!

This tour was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! My husband, myself, and a girlfriend took the electric bike tour at night w/Bo! We had so much fun and learned lots of cool and interesting information about Washington DC! We enjoyed seeing all the monuments, The United States Capitol, and The Whitehouse all at night. The weather was perfect and Bo was an encyclopedia of information. He answered most, if not all, of our questions before we even asked them. The cool thing is he even had stories and information that would have been little known to most. Bonds genuinely a super nice guy and you knew he really loves sharing DC and all it has to offer with others. I would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone going to DC!!!
(Side note: Before this, I had not been on a bike since I was a kid and i was a little nervous about being able to balance the bike again. Don't worry...it really does all come back to you! And, it's electric, so no peddling!)

Excellent tour and guides! We booked the bikes at night to see the monuments and it was fantastic. Kevin has a delightful way of bringing his expansive knowledge of history to life. We followed up the bike tour with the 'D.C. In a Day' tour the following day with Emily, and was equally blessed with her depth of knowledge, interesting facts, and thoughtful, respectful stories and tributes at each memorial. Fabulous way to start a trip to D.C.!

We had an awesome time with Bo on the Ghosts, Scandals, and Murder tour! Bo is a great story-teller (charismatic and funny)! He supplied us with fun facts and scintillating stories as we walked around town. We had a great time and look forward to taking other tours with DC Insider Tours. Like the last reviewer said, this is a great tour for anyone regardless of whether you are a tourist or live or work in the city. You won’t regret taking a tour with this group!

Just got back from a private electric bike tour and it was incredible! Bo, the guide, is so personable and knowledgeable the time flew by. I was amazed what we covered on a electric bike in 2 hours. We started in “Blagden Alley,” a super cool space that Bo brought to life before we even got on the bikes, and then by the Capitol building, Supreme Court, Smithsonian museums, washington monument, Jefferson memorial, Lincoln memorial, and so much more! This was hands down the best way to experience the city in these words COVID times and will be doing it again! Thanks bo and dc insider tours!

DC Insider Tours gives a wonderful look at a city that is a delight to see on foot! DC is a walking city and this tour is wonderful for both those from out of town and DC residents (I am sort of both, from the Midwest and now living in the area). It provided me with a great general overview of the city as well as fascinating specific details. I recommend this tour for all those currently in the DC area and interested in learning more about it, and certainly for anyone planning a trip to our nation's capital! It would be a wonderful way to start out a trip.
