Mother Anna's Restaurant and Bar

Have eaten here several times. Love everything I’ve tried. Love the food! Veal parm is excellent! Their cheesebread is so good, I could eat it as a meal. The atmosphere reminds me of an old time restaurant dinner with the family place, or a Boston Italian restaurant. It can get loud if there are large groups/families there. But that makes it feel like home. Waitstaff are good for most part. If it’s too busy, sometimes they might forget something. That’s to be understood, so long as it’s not too many times or things. They are very accommodating for reservations. I just love their food!

One of our family's favorite takeout destinations is this place. Although my mother may have eaten in once or twice, we're big fans of their takeout. Our usual order consists of salads and grilled chicken, and the quality is consistently excellent. The salads burst with freshness, evident in the crisp greens, while the charred chicken is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of flavor. The garlic oil they use adds an irresistible touch. We've also sampled their baked ziti, which is absolutely heavenly.

Authentic Italian cuisine here. We were pleasantly surprised ! The sausages and meatballs tasted like they just made them...cut like butter and the fresh herbs were pleasant to my palate! The chicken Parmigiana was my husband's all time favorite!
If you get their salad you MUST get their homemade creamy Italian dressing to complete your meal.
Our server Dawn was pleasant and not intrusive but perfect in all ways that made our meal worth waiting for.
If you want fast food you'll be disappointed but if you and your family would enjoy a homemade Authentic Italian experience than Mother Anna's is the place to go!
The only negative thing i could say is that there wasn't Italian music playing..just main stream radio. I would have preferred me some Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin with my meal (minus 1 🌟) None the less go and Enjoy!!

Incredible pasta dishes. Portion size was enormous so we had some leftovers the next day. Christine was our waitress and she was super accommodating, warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent neighborhood Italian Restaurant. Quaint interior food was very authentic . The veal parmigian with eggplant as well as the chicken with eggplant Parmigian was very good. Very fresh and tasty.

I had an event with 15 people. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and the service was great. Excellent food.

Fantastic. This was only our second visit here and I was impressed. We both ordered the chicken parm ($19) which was amazing. Pounded out the way it's supposed to be done. The plate in the photo is a huge plate and compare it to the shakers just to give you an idea of the size of this cutlet. My new Chicken Parm go to.

The service was good food was great. Pleasant small town atmosphere.

Food was excellent, my party had everything from seafood to steak. My baked scrod was fresh and of a good portion. Service was also spot on, though the restaurant was on the quiet side at the time of our dinner. Would definitely return 👍

My wife and myself just came back from Rome, Florence and Venice last week. I can honestly say that my meal last night was better than any meal I had while in Italy. Plus our waitress made us feel right at home.
Definitely, will be back.

Love this place the food is always good and the wait staff is usually very nice. They have a curtain up to protect diners from the cold air coming in as people come and go.
I had the gnocchi it was delicious and their sauce is plentiful and so delicious. My dining guest had the chicken, broccoli Alfredo even though it wasn't on the menu it was no problem using it made and was delicious.

Mother Anna’s never ever disappoints. Usually go for lunch and sit on the bar side. Stacy the bartender and server was just awesome. Always with a smile she checks on you just enough to be sure if you need anything.
Our food was absolutely out of this world! I had fish and he had veal. Love this place and you will too so just go and enjoy the whole experience! Thank you Stacy and chef for a job well done!’

Mother Anna’s has the best Chicken Parmesan on the south shore! We have dined in and ordered it To go and it’s always hot and delicious! My family loves the meatballs and the baked ziti! Definitely give it a try!

Had the best veal marsala!!!! And the bartender makes a great martini!!

My sister and I did the paint party that was held at Mother Anna's and decided to stay for dinner. The staff (very friendly and efficient) AND food (unbelievable) were amazing and I'm still eating leftovers! Thank you so much for such an enjoyable afternoon! We'll definitely be back!

Nice little place, waitstaff very attentive. Kate our waitress was the best. I had the chicken marsala it was very good. I used to live in the North End and this is very reminiscent of the good old days...except it's missing the drunks wandering through at 2am, and the smell of bread and cookies wafting out of Bovas bakery...
Update one word...Steak Marsala....ok that's two words...just get it...

Food was delicious. A wide variety of choices. Very generous portions. Our waitress was superb. A very pleasant night out to dinner.

Very busy establishment that puts out fabulous Italian offerings! The bar staff was funny & attentive. They kept my wine glass full and had the food on the bar promptly! Plenty of offerings to choose from, the seafood diavolo I had was topnotch! The chicken parmigiana my friend enjoyed was huge, probably could get 2 or even 3 meals out of it. I'll definitely return for more!
