I've never attended service here, but I often go to the paradise cafe. They've been serving food in DC for years and the long lines let you know how good the food is. They have a large variety of food and it is always hot and good.

Great food and the portions are HUGE and the prices are great!!! If you are in the D.C., area, stop by for some dinner. They also serve breakfast in the morning.

The lunch line started while I was finishing my breakfast of freshly cooked salmon cakes, eggs, and corned beef hash! Folks-that-know-what's-up waited THIRTY minutes for the 11:15 'go time' . . . a lady came over and covered up my food while I moved my vehicle to a legal parking spot 😁 . . . I got my mom a fish plate with mac-n-cheese and greens to go . . . EVERYTHING was as clean-as-the-Board-of-Health and the food was delicious! This is how God wanted the masses served . . . 👍🏿👏🏿🙏🏿

Now you hit the hammer on the head. Food is so good.Clean place and dinning hall neatly trimmed for us visitors. Thanks to all of you for your splendid service.

The customer service was excellent! Please note they are CASH only but they do have an ATM in the cafeteria. My best friend and I visited today and enjoyed the fried chicken, fried pork chops and smothered pork chops. We also tried the sides we got were greens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and black-eye peas... the greens and sweet potatoes were the Best... the mashed potatoes lacked flavor. They are open Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm

Just came back from going to the United House of Prayer. I stayed toward the back and off to the side, self-conscious about seeming too much like a white-guy tourist. The overall experience is overwhelming: the music is paced to make you want to scream out. Bring some money to fit in at donation time: like in most churches, there is at least one part of the service where you a chance to dig deep in your pocket for a donation. Midway through the service a woman quietly tapped me on the shoulder and said "I know you didn't want to stand up when they asked for first-time visitors, but even so we wanted you to have this" and gave a sealed envelope with a UHOP pen inside. As I left a different woman caught my eye and asked "Did you have a good time today? Did you get a chance to meet the pastor? Are you sure you can't stay for lunch?" This was an entirely kind experience and will be unforgettable for anyone who sees it for the first time. Dress well and check it out.

The food is tasty if you want soul food. The portions are reasonable if not generous. If you want potato salad or banana pudding on the 'purple' weekend, get there before 2p.m. They sell out fast...some buy 2-4 potato salads & 2 banana puddings. Luv it.

Great soul food, Great customer service and Great prices. I came from Pennsylvania to dine there. I love it. Especially the pineapple cake. I give them 10 Stars...

We were in visiting DC and a friend recommended the restaurant at this church. Good home-cooked, good-for-the-soul meals at good price! I marked this church on my map for my next DC trip!!

This is a great place to go when you want variety. The people are always kind and the food is delicious.

Always a good place to eat. With all the new restaurants in DC at much higher prices, they don't compare to the food here. Always great with excellent service.

No better place to be, in good times and trying times, rejoicing in God's goodness doesn't get any better in this place!

Great music, very spiritual. Also has a highly rated kitchen open to the public that serves home cooked meals at a reasonable price.

When I visit DC I can't seem to eat anywhere else because this food be calling my Name!!!!❤ Sheesh truly good real Southern cooking!!!!
