EXTRAORDINARY!! service was quick, employees were kind, and the selection was vast. i reccommend the ahi tacos, they are so flavorful! love the style of crunchy fries they do, too. in town for only a little and i’ll never forget how delicious this meal was!

Amazingly great food, vegan, and carnivore eats. Clean bathroom and just a remarkable staff that will take good care of their customers. The atmosphere is what greatness you can feel and bring to this gem of an eatery. I so enjoyed the steak sandwich with the bountiful of fries. Salads, sandwiches, and even more goodies. This place just astonished me and my grandchildren... yes, I brought picky eaters and a vegan on at that, such a great place to enjoy great food. Browse the menu order and get your utensils and necessities, and find a cozy table to your liking until you receive your order. It is so delicious. Enjoy.

Delicious food but they DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS. I called about 10 days out from needing a place for Sunday brunch for 10 people and was told they did. I was told to call the Friday before. So I called Friday and was told they don’t take reservations. I called Sunday morning and they weren’t busy and had space for us.

At that point, I couldn’t change plans. So I’m glad it worked out. It wasn’t busy at 9am Sunday but oh man it was packed around 11.

Great spot but not suited for large groups unless you go at an off time or have someone go early to save a long table.

Fairly kid friendly though — they have some bins of toy animals that my toddler would have loved. We might go back when the weather is nicer because there’s a great patio.

One of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Santa Fe. Funky, fun interior; far-ranging menu options, and huge portions of delicious food. More funky than Claufoutis, more options than Mille, better food than Iconik - get theyself to Counter Culture!

We found this place by accident and loved it. Its nestled in an artist's enclave. Great food, good coffee. Neat people. In otherworlds a happy place.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here and it’s exactly as I remember it, huge portions of delicious food! I look forward to my next trip to Santa Fe and returning to counterculture!

Counter Culture is a local breakfast and lunch place that has been in Santa Fe for a long time, open 7 days a week, 8 to 3. We came for breakfast and ordered at the counter. There was no waiting in line and our food was served quickly. We sat at a picnic table on the back patio. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patios and a little one was next to us. The patio was quiet with traffic noise in the distance but nothing that interfered with conversation. (76 dB) I ordered the Gravlox, house-cured salmon on a fresh baguette served with capers, cucumber serrano (tart and peppery, a real compliment to the arugula) and lemon dill crema on a base of mixed greens. I love salmon and this did not disappoint. All was fresh and attractive on the plate. My husband ordered the Cowboy Bowl. This was a bowlful of black beans, homefries, red and green chile topped with melted cheese, two over easy eggs (or any way you like them), two long and nicely fried strips of bacon and a flour tortilla. He enjoyed the combination of ingredients in the ample bowl and the “nice spiciness” of the dish. Though we were here for breakfast, the wide range of choices (way too many to mention here) for breakfast (served all day) and lunch is notable. Everything from a banh mi entree to a middle eastern salad with spanakopita. And, of course, they have burgers. Our breakfasts were both around $14 and well worth the price. We have eaten here many times before and will be back here again

The food here is always bomb and it’s a chill place to dine in too, pretty clean interior

I definitely recommend the asian plate which is a half order of the noodles & half order of the spring rolls

Lived in Santa Fe for over 20 years and never knew about this place. Heard about it through a Facebook post, went over and definitely will go back. Food was great and plentiful.

Was introduced to this fabulous place for breakfast. A very popular place! I ordered the Gravlox- and it was awesome! Very tasty salmon with capers, pickles, served on a bed of argula!

I liked the atmosphere, and there is so much more on the menu I want to try! I will be going back!

Stopped here to check it out and this place absolutely does not disappoint! Plenty of options for all tastes. The beer battered salmon tacos were on-point; and they have quite possibly the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had! If you haven’t tried them you’re missing out.

Decided to stop by there for breakfast over the weekend, after having not been there since 2020. SO glad we did. They started accepting cards for payment, which is a huge time saver. This only pales in comparison to the amazing customer service and warm welcoming we received upon going in. The line moved quickly and we were able to order our food in a short amount of time. It is self seating and the food was quick to come right after. The coffee is pour yourself and it was a tasty blend. My fiancé ordered the frittata and I got the standard breakfast and when I tasted his, it was full of flavor. My eggs, bacon, home fries, and pancakes were cooked to perfection and it was definitely a scrumptious bite. We will be back again.

Best coffee around, by a landslide the Black Lightning is everything coffee should be. Food is on point and the sweets are delicious but the best thing about Counter Culture by far is the crew, they stand far above the rest.

I was so happy to have found you today.
I ordered the Middle Eastern Salad and I also got the Sour Cream Coffee cake that nibbled on until my food arrived.
Everyone working there were so nice and helpful and…. Bonus… one of the Kitchen Staff Sings- really good ;-)
I will be back.

I always have a great meal at Counter Culture. The food and staff are great. The operation runs smoothly and the food is out quickly.

I had the:
steak sandwich
carne asada, swiss cheese, grilled onions, lime & serrano aioli on baguette w/haystax

My friend had:
house roasted turkey sandwich
swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado sprouts & mayo on whole wheat bread

It all delicious. The owner hooked us up with some chocolate Bundt cake. It had a rich chocolatey and moist butter cream frosting and the cake itself was off the hook.

I’ve been a customer for many years and it is one that is always on point, and one that I plan visit soon.

Great for meetings
Excellent WiFi
Good vibe

The space was beautiful and spacious. I tried the frittata, it was bursting with unexpected flavor and served with mixed greens. The coffee was excellent with several choices available. Attentive wait staff. Great spot for a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast.
