River City Grille

We came here for the reviews but ended up loving it for the waterfront view, excellent service, and huge portions of tasty food. Right in the heart of Hill country, this restaurant is the perfect stop for travelers, families, and even large groups.

My co-worker and I enjoyed the club 🥪 sandwich with sweet potato, waffle fries and a Cobb 🥗 salad, both of which were delicious. They also have fresh 🎂🍪 desserts as well. The diner also has ♿ handicap accessible parking 🅿, 🚻 restrooms, and seating.

Nice and cozy spot! The river view is awesome and we really enjoyed our meal. We shared the large chicken fried steak (which is 2 steaks) which comes with 2 sides. We ordered 1 extra side and 2 glasses of tea and our total with tax was $31. Pretty good for a very filling meal for 2 people. The fried okra was great!

Lake view makes this place a good stop in the Texas Hill Country. Hamburger was ordered medium rare, and they did great. Service was typical small-town hospitality.

Great view of the lake while dining on the deck. Great times with our friends over drinks and dinner. Great waitstaff. My meal was good and we will dine here again on our next visit to Marble Falls.

My employer's holiday party was here this evening. Fantastic food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. I had the NY strip steak and it was perfect! Others reported the Dad's Chicken to be the best. Excellent green beans and the mashed potatoes are amazing. Great ambiance and view over the river/lake.

We were surprised that all the handicap spots were full, but there was plenty of room in the parking lot. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Both the chips and the rolls were fresh from the fryer/ oven. Everyone enjoyed what they ate, including dessert... but I forgot to photograph it.

Seated quickly with no wait. Good food. Large portions. We shared the large chicken fried steak with sides of a house salad, mac & cheese, and added an extra side of sweet potato fries. The 1 meal included 2 steaks smothered in gravy with 2 sides and was more than enough for 2 people.

Quite possibly the best buffalo fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I was even considering ordering another one to take home for later. Also a nice atmosphere with great views of the river.

We come here at least once every summer when we go through Marble Falls to take my son to and from summer camp. The food is classic American comfort food, the cocktails are excellent and the staff are efficient and friendly. If you aren't bothered by the heat, sit outside overlooking the river. Inside is always air-conditioned and comfortable. Fish tacos, burger and onion rings were all good, as was the chocolate cake. We look forward to our annual visit for the ambiance and experience and recommend this place for lunch or dinner!

Still a great place to eat! Fish tacos and burger were delicious, as was the tropical margarita and strawberry lemonade. We look forward to this place every year!

Stopped by for a quick Saturday lunch while visiting Marble Falls. Primarily came for the view and to enjoy the outdoors. It was early, so there wasn't a wait for an outside table. There are about 8 outside tables that are on the fully covered patio. It provided a nice view of the Colorado River and the various water activities going on.

Server immediately came over for drink and appetizer orders. Started off with the Green Chile Queso & Fresh Salsa and the Jalapeno Margarita. Both came out within 5 minutes. The jalapeno margarita was perfect as it had a nice balance of spicy jalapeno, alcohol, and sweet & sour. Was in the mood for a light meal, so ordered the Grilled Steak Salad and the BK Salad. Both contained a generous amount of fresh ingredients. They were both good, but I slightly preferred the BK salad because of the sweetness and crisps of the apples and pecans.

Food was good, but I really enjoyed sitting on the Colorado River over lunch and some drinks.

Been here a few times over the years Certainly the best visit yet. We live in far North Austin and come out for the scenic drive, great brewery (Save the World), and good food with atmosphere and view (River City).

Service was amazing. No issues getting a table and being served. Food was the best yet!

My wife had the Pork Chop with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. The pork was very tender and juicy. I was surprised actually. Had so many dry or semi-dry chops in my day that having a perfectly cooked bone in chop was surprising. Green Beans were decent and the Mashed Potatoes were pretty good. Overall I'd give the Chops at 6 out of 5, the Beans a 3 out of 5 and the potatoes a 3.5 out of 5.

My daughter has a Bacon Burger and she said it was good. Was cooked probably well done if not slightly less. Fries were decent.

My son had the Fried Catfish and he loved it. 6 out of 5.

I had something not on the menu. A Fried Chicken Sandwich. It was perfect. 6 out of 5 for sure.

They serve Save the World Weit Beer on tap. Delicious.

Great visit and great day in Marble Falls.

We opted for a river view outdoor/patio table. There was a short wait (advertised as 15 minutes but was less than 10). This was Sunday mid-afternoon (between lunch and dinner). I was happy to wait at the bar. By the time I had beverages for the family and a cold glass of Save the World Witbier, the table was ready. We sat at a 4 top facing the river. The sun was starting to get lower in the sky so half of us were in shade and the other in full sun. They had shades they could lower but that would obscure the view so we opted for the sun, the breeze, and the view.

We ordered the Chips and Salsa as an appetizer. The chips were crispy and the queso was literally top 3 I've ever had...anywhere! Usually you get some version of ball park cheese with salsa bits added so my expectations are always fairly low but I was absolutely shocked to discover theirs was super tasty. They make it from scratch with real cheese...I know I'm talking crazy now but you'd be surprised how often you can get something from a can or powered mix. And if the establishment does make it from scratch, it's usually weird or spicy. This one was perfecto...6 out of 5 again!

On the other end of the spectrum was the salsa. Here I generally expect to get something tasty but theirs tasted like tomato sauce with some salsa bits added for texture. Again, home made but either the batch or the recipe needs a little tweaking. If I were a huge salsa fan and really wanted some then I would have been disappointed but since my target was the queso I really didn't care.

Awesome food and atmosphere! Really enjoyed our stop in here for lunch!

the waitresses are so sweet! and the food is great- i’ve had the bacon cheese burger & the grilled chicken sandwich and they were both great! also the view around sunset is unbeatable

Really nice restaurant with super sweet staff that were really friendly. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it didn't feel that long. The food was really good. Commented on how good the burgers were and my wife really liked the Reuben Sandwich. The view was also really nice, but I forgot to get a picture of that. You'll just have to go and see for yourself.

We had the best seat in the house on the patio overlooking the river. Great spot for drinks and dinner. Very laid back.

Met some friends for dinner after the off road trails. Food was excellent. Service was fast, friendly, and professional. Awesome atmosphere. Food came out hot and quick. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

We sat at the bar as we waited for a patio seat and what great service! The bar tender was fantastic and accommodating. The patio seat we got was perfect for sunset. The food was excellent across the board. The chilie stew was delicious as was the pork chop! Other members of our party had the coconut shrimp and burger. Everyone was agreement that the food was excellent. Highly recommend.
