I have been taking my daughter here for a couple of months now and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. My daughter was having a hard time focusing and being too hard on herself and I have seen tremendous change in her behavior. They teach the children to set goals and proper ways to handle difficult tasks without giving up. I could go on for days to talk about how great everyone is. The owners are such amazing individuals and you can truly tell they have a passion for changing and empowering the youth. Oh did I mention I recently started training as well! Now, my daughter and I have something we can enjoy together. I highly recommend this place to everyone. :)

My 2 boys started going to Bam Bam a few months ago. They love going and learn so many new skills that they apply at home as well. Staff is very professional and supportive and attend the needs of the specific student. It is a wonderful place to learn martial arts and skills for success in life. Highly recommended

I highly recommend this school. It has made such a huge impact on my daughter's confidence! She is so much more motivated to be active physically healthy. They encourage their students to develop good character, responsibility, respect and social skills. As a teacher of 19 years, it is easy for me to see how so many students can develop focus and discipline from the instructors at Bam Bam!

We love Bam Bam! My oldest child has been attending classes for over a year and her physical and mental growth has been incredible. The virtues that the coaches instill in the students align with healthy self-talk, respect, dedication, and fortitude - all things any parent would want their child to master. The family that operates the gym is also incredibly kind, helpful, and engaged during each of our visits. I know I can count on them for support when I am wrangling my other children during classes. Great atmosphere. Well kept gym. The coaches are kind, encouraging and very patient, yet maintain discipline and respect throughout the class. My son has been at Bam Bam for 4 years now and is growing in confidence and techniques. The Sullivans as well are a great family and always strive to take care of each and every student in every way possible. Definitely recommend Bam Bam martial arts for Jiu jitsu.

Bam Bam Martial Arts is more than just a gym, it is an open and welcoming community. While it's JiuJitsu curriculum is amazing and teaches great skills what I admire so much about Bam Bam is how focused they are on building there students self confidence, courage, mental strength, and discipline. Bam Bam is a fantastic place to train! This gym caters to everyone from the beginning level all the way up to continuing black belts. Not only do the owners know each member personally, they make you feel like family.

Coach He-Man, Coach Franco, and Coach Deanna are all fantastic instructors that teach a wide variety of classes. There is something for every adult and child to learn at this gym. There are women's only cardio classes, kickboxing, and jiu jitsu classes offered at multiple times of the day which makes going to the gym convenient with any work schedule. All of the classes are very fun and you are encouraged to take multiple classes a day for a well rounded and challenging workout. The best part is, the low monthly rate includes ALL of the classes on the schedule!

Each class I learn something new and get a fantastic workout. There is also an amazing kids program that fits all ages. The kids learn structure in a fun and safe environment.

Absolutely amazing gym with clean facilities and a family friendly environment. I will be attending this gym for years to come!

My son (8 years old) has been at Bam Bam MMA for almost two years. My first impression of the gym was that it was immaculate and had a professional appearance. My son loved it from day one and I am ecstatic over how well he has done and how far his skills have improved. Beyond just jiu jitsu, he has learned about respect, discipline and basic manners. I consider these to be life skills that he will carry with him into adulthood.

I wanted a school where the coaches have actually tested their skills at the professional level and were well versed in the arts they were teaching my son. I was very impressed with the pedigrees of the coaches at Bam Bam. We have coaches that have competed in professional kickboxing, UFC, boxing, muy thai, and jiu jitsu. Why wouldn't you want your child to learn from coaches who have been there, done that in real life? There are too many schools and coaches out there just trying to sign up kids and adults for $$$ but have never even tested their art competitively. If you are looking for a jiu jitsu or muy thai gym where the bar is set low and your child can go up in belt rankings in a matter of weeks, this is probably not the place for you. They hold the students to high standards and make them work for their belts not only at the gym, but in school and at home. A quality that is not readily found in today's society. My son knows that when he earns a stripe/belt, he should be proud of himself and that his hard work has paid off. It helps him work even harder and stay disciplined in everything he does such as school work, being respectful at home, and overall being a good person to others.

All the coaches (Scott, Justin, Heman, Franco) are professional and excellent with kids. They teach the skills that are needed, command respect, and put their heart and souls into each student. Coach Justin has a phenomenal rapport with his students. He has taken extra time with my son to ensure his techniques are correct and does it in a supportive and caring way. If a student has a question it will always get answered whether it be about a certain technique or something personal going on outside of the gym.

All the instructors are great role models for the students and I couldn't be happier with our choice to attend Bam Bam MMA. We consider Bam Bam part of our family and have made some long lasting friendships through the school. Thank you all for your dedication to the school and my son.

Bam Bam Martial Arts is the best in the business. I can’t say enough good things about the Sullivan family, the instructors, the facility, and the overall program. My son has been enrolled for over 4 years, and attended 4-5 days a week, almost every week.

The greatest martial arts school in Houston. Their character development program is amazing, and the jiu jitsu classes are a workout but fun! It's an amazing environment to be in.

Bam Bam really cares about their students and ensuring success and growth, not just in martial arts, but in life. My 10yo son has had a great experience over the past 9 months. The facility is so nice and clean and well-equipped. Our year contract will be ending soon and the only reason we won't renew is the monthly cost, but we recommend Bam Bam for jiu-jitsu education and life lessons for both kids and adults!

This place is AWESOME! I have 3 kids who take jiu jitsu classes here and even though we're not able to attend as much as I'd like, my kids are treated like family every time we walk in. I like the quaintness of the gym (it's not super big and impersonal), it's truly family oriented (the owners have some of the most polite kids who assist with instruction sometimes) and the instructors and staff are THE warmest. I love how my kids come home and "play martial arts" with each other, even pretending to be the instructors sometimes lol. We're not zoned to the best of schools, so knowing that my kids (my son especially) are learning some techniques to defend themselves against bullies gives me some peace of mind.

Over the past three years, my wife Marisol and I have been part of this amazing place where we've grown stronger, both physically and mentally.

My son started coming to Bam Bam after having some behavioral issues. I was lost as to what to do. After doing some research I called and got him started on a trial basis. I tried few martial art gyms before I signed up with Bam Bam, I like working out and practicing kickboxing here. The family-owned business style makes it really a very unique gym. They attend to all our needs and answer our questions. Coach Manny is very professional but also makes the whole training so enjoyable and fun. He knows exactly how to make you fall in love with the sport. I started as a first timer, and within 3 months I made a real good progress, thanks to his coaching methods and attention to his students. I like his focus on practical moves and insistence in doing the proper technique. I have enjoyed every single class with him.

My 11 year old son and I recently signed up here, and we're super excited. Before signing up, we got to attend 2 classes at no cost, which I think is terrific. Today was our very first day. I somehow misread the schedule and came to their advanced jiu-jitsu class (and I am a complete novice), but instead of turning us away, they found a way to accommodate us 🥺. The academy is owned and run by the most pleasant and genuine family! The instructors are also great and very thorough when explaining how to do anything. I look forward to continuing my jiu-jitsu journey at Bam Bam Academy and recommend them to anyone interested in martial arts!

Great gym. I am taking BJJ there. The Coaches and my teammates are awesome. I am 40 years old and just starting. It is scary. However, the laid back attitude and desire of the Coaches to help me is what keeps me coming back. It is a tota bodyl workout. I leave the gym drenched in sweat. I am almost 3 months into my BJJ training. Even though I am a noobie white belt, my Coaches and higher belt teammates keep me motivated. It is a HUMBLING experience rolling.
