The Coffee House at West End

The Coffee House at the West End has become my top coffee spot in Houston. Spanning four distinct levels, it offers a range of experiences. The first floor boasts live music, a piano bar, and ample, comfortable seating – perfect for meetings, studying, or casual people-watching. The second floor provides a more private ambiance with cozy couches, while the third floor caters to office professionals seeking a productive daytime workspace.

My favorite is the rooftop patio on the fourth level, offering patio seating with breathtaking views of the entire city. It's a fantastic place to relax, enjoy the company of friends, and even bring along your dogs to bask in the great weather. The patrons love having dogs around, creating a delightful atmosphere. Overall, the West End Coffee Shop impresses with its beauty, sophistication, excellent service, and a stunning array of choices. It has quickly become my go-to place.

Came here for afternoon coffee. Got drip coffee and Strawberry Fields Matcha. Drinks were very good. Combination of strawberry and matcha flavors especially was good. Had heard it is a big place; was packed when we came on Saturday, but we found seats up on the third floor. Third floor felt more like a calm library shared space compared to the lively first floor. Where we sat was calm and relaxing even with a lot of people there. Nice atmosphere. Parking was also full but luckily someone was leaving so we got that spot. Plenty of parking spaces and they seemed for both church and coffee shop.

My favorite part of this coffee shop is the massive amount and variety of seating space. The first floor has a massive industrial seating area with vaulted ceilings and exposed brick and pipes. The small second story has more cozy couches and tables. The third floor is more classroom style with large tables with multiple plastic chairs. Fourth floor has a neat outdoor terrace.

Staff are very nice and drinks / food are pretty great.

Parking is tough but for good reason (no worries, they have an extended lot across the street)! If you’re looking for a place to pop some headphones on and get work done or just meet up for coffee, this place is both super instagramable and just chill to hangout at. I love that there’s access to the rooftop and the the super quiet third floor. Coffees good, service is great, bathrooms are super clean!

I recently visited Coffeehouse at West End and had an amazing experience. I ordered an almond milk latte, which was absolutely fantastic – perfectly balanced and wonderfully smooth. The coffeehouse itself is spacious, offering ample seating with two floors and a charming rooftop scene, making it a great spot to relax or catch up on work. However, be aware that parking can be challenging during peak hours. While there are some food options available, the selection is somewhat limited. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for a great cup of coffee and a pleasant atmosphere.

The atmosphere here makes you want to stay here for hours! Great for people that WFH, it has a second and third floor I believe and the whole aesthetic of the place is inviting and comfortable with chairs couches and desks.
The first time I came grabbed a pumpkin latte now I had the black cherry mocha DELICIOUS! So yummy and good there’s so many options of different coffee and it’s not just sugar like other coffee spots (I’m looking at you Starbucks) this is actually strong well made coffee. Chocolate croissant You MUST have it!

The atmosphere of this place is by far the best I have experienced out of every other coffee houses I've visited in this city! The coffee is phenomenal, their croissants deliver an explosive taste, and there is always plenty of space to study or just chill inside or outside at the rooftop! Definitely one of my most favorite coffee spots to work inside. 👌🏼☕

First time here. Love the atmosphere! The architecture is gorgeous. Staff and manager were very nice. Pretty pricey ($21 for 2 menu drinks) the coffee is average tasting, could use a little more rich flavor. I didnt mind too much though. Paying for the atmosphere, coffee and amenities. 10/10 for me and will come back!

Loved the atmosphere here! The coffee was decent and the ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The rooftop is pretty small but if the weather is nice, it is nice to sit on the outdoor furniture (make sure to wear sunglasses and/or sunscreen). The 3rd floor has a bigger space but seems less premium because of the foldable chairs and tables, I spent the most time here and while the sun is coming in, it's still very cool. 2nd floor has great cushioned chairs but less space. The 1st floor is the closest to the coffee bar and has highchair seating with a lot of tables.

This place screams space!! 4 different levels with its own benefit. The people were nice and there’s a spot for anyone. I also love how it’s owned by the church. I only tried the jasmine tea this time but next time I look forward to trying the coffee.

That is my favorite stylish area where I work, eat a cinnamon roll, and enjoy delicious coffee.

Such a lovely spot to meet with friends, get some work done, or read a book. Each of the 4 floors (including roof) have a very different atmosphere which make it easy to find a spot for your needs.

Me and my friend stopped by this coffee house while on a bike ride and were impressed by the older building architecture, good strong coffee and the "must try" almond croissants. They have plenty of space to cozy up and even a rooftop area with couches so u can chill.

Great aesthetics here. Comfy seats and unique set up. I love that they offer table service. So convenient and unique. Most coffee shops don’t have that option! The customers there were all friendly and helpful to each other. Just nice wholesome vibes.

I absolutely love The Coffee House at West End! It has become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a fantastic cup of coffee and mouthwatering croissants. The coffee is always top-notch, and the croissants are simply delicious.

The only drawback is that despite having plenty of available seats, it can be quite challenging to find a place to sit. The coffee shop tends to get crowded, making it a bit of a struggle to secure a seat.

I love this spot for a coffee meet up with my girlfriends. There are 3 floors and a rooftop as well as a courtyard area with seating. It's always busy but you can always find a place to sit and enjoy a cup! The staff is friendly and the drinks are always great. My favorite spot is the rooftop to sit and look over downtown and enjoy the outside. I haven't tried the food, but the coffee is always on point.

An amazing coffee shop and environment to relax or get work done. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations or knowledge about the menu items, and the location offers 3 floors, plus rooftop seating. Drinks are well made and offer plenty of different options, and the other items offered are more than adequate for a quick bite. Multiple environments available, with a casual first floor seating area, cozy second floor seating area, spacious and quieter third floor perfect for getting work done, and a clean and pretty rooftop seating area.

First time visiting here. Never knew there’s a coffee shop here! The atmosphere is definitely chill. Came in on a Thursday morning. Most people are working on their laptops. You can order at the table and food and drinks will be brought to you. Interior is open and bright on a sunny day. Plenty of parking in the front of the shop.
