Truly spectacular memorial. An absolute must see. Lincoln is absolutely massive! It is very busy so trying to get a picture can be quite difficult without getting others in the frame. The site itself is well kept and clean. It’s lovely and spacious and nice and cool too.
They had construction on the outside steps which for a photo op was annoying lol but the main masterpiece is inside of course.

Highly recommend going on a weekday morning. Wayyyyy less people.
- Park around the tidal basin and see Jefferson first.
-Then walk around the basin and see vietnam, Korean, MLK, and presidential memorials.
-Make Lincoln your last stop.
*- As of 3/20/24 the memorial has a lot of construction happening so keep that in mind for photos.

Perfect if you want to get your steps on. Going from one end of the water to the other probably took 15 minutes of walking, and we had to do that twice. Not complaining, though—there is a beautiful view of not only the memorial but also the surrounding nature. If you are a big history buff or are just intrigued by the idea of standing where former presidents stood, this is a must-visit.

Very impressive monument. Easily accessible. There’s street parking along the Potomac river and it’s a quick walk. A couple kiosks with food and drinks. Don’t forget to have your national park passport stamped in one of the official visitor bureaus or kiosks.

Not crowded in the mornings. The construction of Lincoln Memorial Museum was in place. Some of the ramps are blocked. Is a quiet place regarding the amount of people in there.

There was a renovation job that covered half of the stairs, so that the statue cannot be easily seen from the outside. We have to climb up the stairs until the exact level where the statue positioned.
Nevertheless, it’s still a good experience to see with own eyes the renowned statue we used to see in hollywood movies 😊.

A great place to spend the day walking around the city and watching such beautiful places. The only thing I will tell you is that in architecture and terrain it is not provided for how the sound spreads and if you have sensitive ears, it can be very noisy when a plane or helicopter flies.

Remarkably calm place to visit & see the Lincoln statue. There were many people but the white structure of the Building may feel peaceful.

I visited this monument at night when it was less crowded. Too good view. And the sculpture of Lincoln is perfect. Do visit while visiting DC. It’s open 24 hrs.

A very special experience. I walked to it on a very cold Wednesday late morning and was one of very few around. The open air and cold wind passing through didn’t take from the stillness, the equanimity of this place. I’m thankful for the time I spent here reflecting on a life well lived.

Visiting the Lincoln Memorial is always an awesome experience. Designed by Henry Bacon (1866-1924), it was constructed between 1915 and 1922. This is the closest the US has to a secular shrine. Perfectly located at the end of the Mall on the opposite end from the Capitol, the views across the Mall and the Reflecting Pool are epic. The Gettysburg address inside is a must read.

My visit to the Lincoln Memorial was truly great! The grandeur of this iconic monument is awe-inspiring. Standing in the presence of Abraham Lincoln's larger-than-life statue and gazing at the beautifully designed memorial is an experience that fills you with a sense of reverence and appreciation for American history. The peaceful reflection pool in front of it adds to the overall tranquility of the setting, making it a perfect place for contemplation and taking in the significance of Lincoln's legacy. If you're in Washington, D.C., a visit to the Lincoln Memorial is an absolute must; it's a profound and memorable encounter with the nation's history and values.

Lincoln. What more can you say? This monument is a staple in your travels of DC. Even under construction, it is a sight to behold.

Even whole under construction, they disguise the pillars with a wood combo that mimics the patterns of the existing pillars.

When there in the rain, remember that there is a slip factor to the natural stone. There is a quietness in the building that is appreciated with the number of people in one place. A moment to take in such a magnificent piece, to feel the magnitude of a leader of our growing world. A man with the Emancipation Proclamation to put an end to slavery.

Take time in your travels to pay a visit to our old president Lincoln. Sit and share a moment reflecting in those times that and know that while you are just one person, you may never know the difference you can make.

Amazing to see the Lincoln Memorial! Seeing it books, shows, or movies doesn't do it justice. Absolutely breathtaking and ambiance of seeing Lincoln in the chair is just something else.

This is a definite don’t miss when walking the mall. I viewed it during the day and did a night bus tour that stops here. Unfortunately I did not have my phone working (battery 🙄) so I could not view. I believe there is an elevator but if you can do it I recommend the stairs. Seeing Lincoln for the first time is pretty amazing. Once you are at the top the view of the mall is breathtaking. It never gets old walking the Mall.

Very awesome iconic site! The total cost is $0! This place is equipped with an elevator, bathrooms, little indoor museum area and gift shop. But most importantly, you can get some really cool photos of the Lincoln Memorial.

Nice views from here of the reflection pool as well. Definitely check it out along with the other memorials when you're visiting Washington DC.

5/5.

One of the most beautiful monuments in DC. Such an incredible place. Definitely worth the stop. Stunning at night. There are 2 metro stations fairly close by McPherson Square and Arlington on the blue line. Granted a bit of a walk from either one.

One of the must visit places in Washington DC. Its very crowded do come early if you want great pictures. The night view is spectacular. There is so much history to learn about.

The parking is very difficult to find but the walk isn’t too bad.
