I loved this corner of Germany while visiting Washington DC with friends. Great selection of beers, pretzels were spectacular, Bockwurst tasty. Would definitely recommend, also for little themed corporate events (it's a very specious place) or birthdays or a night out with mates. Staff were nice and welcoming.

The tapping of the keg to kick off Oktoberfest in the District! A very fun event. As always, the classic German schnitzel and variety of great German beer - always impressive. Great service and very attentive staff.

We happened upon this restaurant while walking down Front St - glad we walked in! We sat inside and loved the atmosphere. Such cool decor! The beer garden out back looked really nice, too. We both had lunch specials - loved the fish sandwich, smashburger, spaetzle mac & cheese. Finished off with the apple strudel. Yum! Almost forgot the beer menu - great choices and we liked the option of three sizes to decide how our afternoon would go! Thanks for the tasty lunch and great service!

Fresh and delicious Hefeweizen transported us back to Bavaria. Excellent pretzels and pretzel rolls. Grandson loved the chicken sandwich and potato salad. Wants the Apple cake for his next birthday,

The Schnitzel sandwich is superb! The Wurst Platter is outstanding and the large 12 inch Pretzel is perfect with truly wonderful draft beers. Go alone or bring a Party, many large tables in the dining room or on the patio!

Fun. Lots of outdoor seatingGood draft selection reminiscent of bars in Munich. Vegetarian Spaetzle was delicious. Young, casual crowd. Definitely recommend to hang out for drinks and food with friends.

Chill Saturday night down in the district we hit up Prost for some late Octoberfest vibes and weren't disappointed. Litre's of beer including Dunkle and Octoberfest were obtained and then most excellent german food was consumed. No evidence of the pretzel with beer cheese was left for photography. Really enjoyed my Jagerschnitzel and my partner loved the Sauerbraten but thought the dumplings were a bit plain. Great service and I'm sure a fun bar when it's really busy. Again the pretzel is amazing.

The German beer sampler and the bratwurst were great! The sampler in particular is a good deal. If you want good German food I highly recommend them

Great local watering hole for German style beers and good eats. Take the flight and try 10 of their beers on tap - great to share with another person as it is approximately a liter of beer.

Prost had plenty of heat lamps for outside dining. The staff were courteous and the food was delicious.

Great food, great beer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so it made coming with a group of 8 easy to grab a table.

Prost is truly a neighborhood staple, but for good reason. The food is *amazing* and their draft selection is excellent. One of the fairest brunch deals in the city yo boot.

None of that compares to the staff. Every single one of them, from servers to bartenders to food runners, are kind, get to know their customers, and are just straight up lovely people who are fun to talk to. That doesn't even include how amazing they are to all the dogs visiting. This is my old doggo boy's favorite spot, and I agree

Great experience. My wife is from Germany and we brought her parents and they were surprised just how close it was to real authentic German food. For any American this a great place to experience an excellent German beer menu and a good introduction into German cuisine.

They were super friendly to our dog on the outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is heated but is also right on the street so noise can be an issue.

Would 100% go back to explore more of the menu.

Great atmosphere for anyone of German heritage or in love with the language and culture. The bar tenders are great and so is the food and I'm not just saying this because one is my classmate. Try the pretzel it's bomb!

Sweet little spot with solid German bier

My dude didn’t know what colaweizen was, but he made it for me anyway. It’s half coke half German wheat beer. Made me feel like I was back over there for a min. Awesome German food and beer!

Real German draft beer and giant pretzels sitting on authentic German tables and benches. Perfect! Also, the chicken schnitzel was delicious. Highly recommend!

My partner and I had an amazing experience here. For the first time after many months of nothing but disappointing restaurant experiences in DC, we finally found a place we can't wait to come back to. The service was quick and friendly, the cocktails were delicious, and the food was outstanding - especially the short rib spaetzle, which I haven't stopped thinking about. I lived in Bavaria for two years and can confirm that this place is as authentic as it gets. The beer menu is just like what you get at any real German biergarten, and that sweet nostalgia made me love the experience even more. We never expected to find this kind of gem in DC, but so glad we did. Sehr zu empfehlen!

This place deserves more stars and more recognition because its a diamond. Authentic German cuisine for brunch. The menu is not complicated or overloaded witb options and every single dish we had was made to perfection. The servers (Madison L. was ours) are attentive and ready to help at a moments notice as well as well informed about the menu and the atmosphere feels close to that of Germany and I have been and lived in Europe for many years and eaten in German pubs and bars in Germany. They even got the bread right! I can't speak to their drink menu as I was here for a late breakfast but it was plentiful and if I wasn't leaving DC tonight I would come back in the evening for a couple German beers. Highly recommend.
