The Spa at Hotel Washington

I have now visited this spa a handful of times. I have come by myself and with other people. The experience here has always been amazing. My most recent massage was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Leo was my masseuse and he did an absolutely amazing job!

I ordered an 80-minute massage and added on a foot treatment and the hot stones. I highly recommend adding both of those enhancements. It took the massage to another level. they don’t simply use the hot stones for 10 minutes like most places do. They used the hot stones throughout the entire massage. The foot enhancement was done at the very beginning and elevated the rest of the experience immensely.

I am extremely picky with how the masseuse moves and transitions during a massage and Leo was perfect! He had soft hands. His movements were smooth and relaxing. I could not have been happier!

Gabby was my Aesthetician, who performed my wax, and she was great! Very gentle and thorough. The spa is very zen inspired. Immediately upon check in, I was greeted by name and escorted to a relaxing area with reclining chairs with a water. My appointment started on time and the “bed” was clean and comfortable. Gabby used a fresh stick for each and every swipe of wax…so no yucky double dipping. I have a new wax location anytime I’m in the DC area.

I had an amazing massage with Noke, and I cannot recommend her expertise enough. I typically find hotel massages relaxing but rarely experience true bodywork in a 50 minute treatment. Five minutes in I was wishing I had booked an 80 minute treatment with her. She takes your concerns seriously and utilizes multiple modalities to help relieve pain and promote relaxation. Definitely recommend booking with Noke when you go.

As a first-time visitor to the Spa at Hotel Washington, I'd like to express my gratitude to Tiara for her exceptional service. She demonstrated a perfect blend of science and art, ensuring I felt wonderful throughout. Tiara not only understood my preferences but also asked the right questions to deliver exactly what I wanted. However, my friend, who joined me, had a different experience. Unfortunately, her masseuse didn't ensure complete comfort, and the pressure applied was too light to qualify as a massage. It's essential for the spa to ensure consistency in skills among all masseuses for a satisfying experience for every guest.

Wow…. Let me just say I feel like every massage I’ve gotten previous to my massage with Leo, now feels like an epic fail. I read a review about Leo Being amazing and I was hopeful, but did not realize how truly amazing my experience was going to be. I live in NYC and can assure you that I will go NOWHERE else for a massage other than here and with Leo. Thanks to whoever wrote the review that got me to book with him but I truly am amazed by what a fabulous massage experience I had. Can’t wait to come back.

I’m so glad that we found this place! It is very pricey but well worth it! With that said, the dressing area was really tight and it was very warm inside. Thankfully I knew most of the ladies in there, because we were bumping all into each other while changing into our robes. I didn’t have to wait long and the guy that did my body treatment was on time. I had the Cellu-Sculpt 3 in 1 Treatment and it was awesome. I feel bad because I forgot the Technician’s name, but he’s been there a while and mentioned that he does the training for that particular service. Jackpot! I finished with a pedicure. It was a no frills pedicure but the polish lasted a long time. If my nails didn’t grow, the polish would still look good. Overall, this was one of my better spa experiences!

I have been going for massages for over 30 years, due to a chronic neck condition. I found Noke (Phouangboupha Khambay) at the Hotel Washington spa. She did the most fantastic massage, with stretching that relieved ALL of my pain points! Most massage therapists tell me "it will take several sessions to really get to the root of the issue." Well not with Noke, she is amazing. I don't live in DC, but any time I visit, I will be scheduling with Noke!

I enjoyed my treatments here. I had a pedicure and a facial. The facial was worth every penny. She explained everything and made sure I knew about any up charges if I wanted to take her suggestions.

The pedicure was fun and looked amazing once done.

The amenities are lacking but the steam room worked very well. The locker room is spacious and well appointed. For the price though I do wish they had a much better selection and bigger relaxation lounge. It’s the most lacking feature.

But the services are what really mattered to me and both were excellent.

Let me just start with I have been a massage therapist for 19 years so it's very hard for me to find a therapist that can actually make me just zone out. Today I received a full body scrub and massage from Leo and he is absolutely amazing! My skin feels amazing and I'm beyond relaxed. Perfect pressure and his draping technique is on point. My nail tech was great as well for a pedicure especially when you choose black polish for short toe nails. As a plus size woman I wish the robes were a little larger though.

This was my first ever massage and... wow. It was honestly so amazing. My massage therapist's name was Jean, he made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. The actual massage was amazing. Once it was done I was practically drunk. Never in my life have I felt so relaxed. I have nothing to compare it to, given it was my first massage, but I will say the bar has been set pretty high. Aside from the practically intoxicating massage, the hotel itself is stunning. Everything from the lobby, to the lounge they have you wait in, to the locker rooms, its all beautiful. Speaking of the locker room they have a steam shower, which is really cool, and they give you a robe and flip flops to wear around. They also have a bunch of toiletries and stuff incase there's anything you forgot. It was definitely on the pricey side, I got a couples massage and it was just over 400. I can't say I was upset about it however. The experience felt very luxurious, and everyone there was very friendly, and great at their job. They deserve full compensation for their work. The experience was very worth it for me, and I hope I can go back soon. :)

LOVED my experience. My friend and I did a walk-in and Farah was so gracious and got us in right away. I got a massage with a toning add-on. My friend and I loved Gene and Dimitri. Best massage I’ve had in my life *chef’s kiss*

The spa hotel in Washington was amazing. I booked a reservation for my birthday. I enjoyed every moment at the facility. When I arrived at the facility. I was greeted by the concierge. Everyone was friendly, provided me with a beverage, and directed me into the locker room where I changed into my robe to get my massage which was 10 out of 10.

Booked a girls spa day with friends. We were all delighted with our services and left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. My two friends had massages with 2 different therapists which exceeded their expectations. I had the body scrub and I'm still marveling at how soft my skin feels thanks to Tina! No corners were cut and everyone went above and beyond despite us arriving a little late. The booking process was also very easy and I have a new friend in Ms. Dara who was so friendly and eager to ensure all of our needs were met.

We showed up at open abd booked what was available. They treated us exceptionally well. I recommend the facial. And my husband had a fantastic pedicure and manicure for men.

This spa experience was unreal, in the best way possible. Arguably the best massage of my life! My husband and I went in for a couples massage for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. The spa itself is really nice but also the people working there and the massage therapists were both professional and nice. The massage therapists gave us a run down of the experience and asked us if we had any specific preferences prior to starting. We also got champagne following our massage experience! highly recommend

Bliss Spa DC is the BEST!!! I’m always greeted with a smile & pleasantries at the front desk. Christina is AMAZING...extremely professional & very fun. I look forward to seeing her EVERY visit. Went this pass weekend & had a Blissage 75 with Leo...what a great experience. I will definitely be scheduling regular massages in the future. You won’t regret visiting this great spa.

Had a great massage with Leo! He was very knowledgeable (he also works in sports medicine) and helpful with the pain I had been experiencing prior to my massage. He made sure I was comfortable and continuously checked to see if the right pressure was being applied. Overall - great experience!

I went to Bliss Spa today, Oct 10, during COVID-19. And I had an amazing relaxing experience. While not being able to enjoy any communal spaces due to COVID is unfortunate, everything else is simply blissful. Lol. Everything is throughly clean. I got a manicure, pedicure, and a massage. If you were to ask me before this if I would go to the spa if I had to wear a mask through the entirety of my services I probably would have said no. But I was at Bliss for over 3 hours with my mask on the entire time and it did not take away from the experience at all. While everything was great, the massage experience was excellent. Leo was terrific. He went through all of the updated procedures and precautions, and my massage wasn't negatively affected by any of the COVID-19 related changes. If COVID safety is your concern, everyone is in masks, every is socially distanced, sanitizer is readily available, and everything is wiped down between customers. Specifically for the massages they clean and wipe down after each customer and they wait until the new customer comes in to put the one time use items on in front the client. I had a great trip. I'll probably be back soon.

I went to Bliss Spa for a mani/pedi with my mom the day before my wedding because some lovely co-workers gifted me with a certificate here. Our technician was Lucinda, and she was super sweet, super laid back, and she did a FANTASTIC job on our nails. Unfortunately the spa couldn't have our nail appointments at the same time, so they were back to back, and we spent about 3 hours there. But, the environment is very relaxing, they have tea and snacks, and a cozy little lounge with a "locker room" as well. Loved the pampering experience!
