Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC

Wonderful experience! We were traveling with our dog, and love Kimpton hotels for being pet friendly (and welcoming!). The staff at this hotel was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making our experience truly 5 stars. Kierra at the front desk guided us through all of the amenities available and ensured we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is spacious and beautifully kept, and rooms are comfortably furnished. Excellent location and valet parking made things super easy. We hope to return!

Let me start by saying, I’m very picky when it comes to hotels/rooms. This place exceeded all expectations. Size of rooms were great, service up front was great from valet, to front desk great service.
Located near china town, we could throw a rock and hit capital one arena most everything including museums was walking distance

This is a well-located hotel close to Capitol One arena and Ford's Theater. It is an older but elegant building. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Recommended.

Top notch hotel only 12 min quick walk to the convention center. Kierra was so helpful with a room mixup and also giving us recommendations for restaurants. This was the original Post office and has soaring ceilings, tall windows and gorgeous details galore. Enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning and wine in the afternoon. Across from the Portrait Gallery Museum. Loved it!

Have visited many times and we love the eclectic decor. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Food and drink are stellar! The free Happy hour offered is so nice. Love it.

The care, cleanliness, and diligence of the staff made my stay excellent. Staff member Kiera went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my staycation special. She is an absolute legend and treasure!

We stayed at the Kimpton Monaco hotel for a wedding. Everyone was great but especially Cecilie, Reina, and John. The hotel and restaurant service was great and the food delicious. Great location and rooms! We would come again in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. We just stayed here for the umpteenth time and the staff is fantastic, the bar is stellar and the location is second to none. Highly recommend.

I was at the Super Bowl game and I me An amazing bartender, great service even though it was super packed. My experience was great! JR was A superb manager he made sure all my needs were met to the T!!

This hotel is in the middle of everything! Capital One area is literally 2 minutes away. Everything lovely including food, activities. Minutes away from everything. Hotel are absolutely amazing! The rooms are very spacious. We stayed in the Robert E Mill Suite. This definitely could fit a family of 5-6 comfortably!

Fantastic service!! A+. We had a slight hiccup with our initial room but the staff were on it and made 100% sure we were well accommodated even going as far as personally checking up on us. everyone from the Kitchen staff, front desk, valet and management were very helpful and kind. To clarify, our small hiccup was very minor and we didn't complain to warrant such great treatment- the staff genuinely wanted to help and definitely went the extra mile.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we've ever been to!! You feel like a royal with the georgous surrounding. Front desk service is good and attentive. They took care of our special requests as well!! The location is fantastic!!! Walking distance to many museums, great restaurant, and bars. We'll definitely return to this hotel next time!

Came to DC for a conference. This hotel was worth every dollar! Beautiful, historic hotel in Penn Quarter. DirtyHabit has amazing food and fun drinks. Close to tourist attractions and the convention center, yet quiet. Gorgeous and large rooms. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Valet was prompt and professional! Loved our stay!

I didn’t stay at this hotel I went for a business even. It is located across from the metro and surrounded by a variety of restaurants. I recommend for those that are traveling and need easy transportation.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were treated like ROYALTY! The staff was so friendly and helpful and made us feel like they were genuinely happy for us and cared for us as such. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here anytime we're vacationing in DC!! The free wine hour from 5-6 was awesome. Valet was so convenient and friendly. And the front desk was very attentive. Any time we called guest services they were at our door within a matter of minutes with whatever we requested. There is a beautiful art museum right across the street and several bars, restaurants, and activities within walking distance. It's in the heart of the city. It was perfect. I cannot even begin to detail how wonderfully this stay contributed to the best honeymoon I could've imagined.

Great hotel for a friend or family trip. The hotel was perfectly situated in DC being a short minute walk from many key sites and right next to the Capital One Arena. The hotel was very well maintained and the staff were extremely attentive. We especially loved the hotel sponsored daily evening happy hour and coffee in the morning.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It has a wonderful lobby with a daily happy hour with free wine from 5-6 pm daily.

It is located across the street from the National Portrait Gallery as well as the Capital One Arena. A convenient place to stay if you are attending one of their events.

All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I did not dine in the Dirty Habit, but it looked well booked when I passed by.

The room was very comfortable, with great amenities.

One minute walking from Capital One Arena. Seven minutes drive from Union Station. Twenty-five minutes walk from Union Station. One minute from the Smithsonian Portrait Museum. Post office turned into a hotel. Eclectic design with a touch of classic flare. Five pm alcohol mixer. Mornings free specialty coffee and tea. Sunday brunch is worth coming to eat and listen to good music.
Staff is 💯. Service is empeccible and personal. Love it.

They have bikes available to you use.
Rooms come with a robe, umbrella, and yoga mat.
Valet and bus person are proactive. Before I could even think about what I needed, they had it or answer for me. Doors were always opened and held open until passed
I am looking forward to my next visit to DC just so that we can stay at Kimpton.
