If you're a sushi lover looking for a great spot to satisfy your cravings in the Mount Vernon area, Nama Sushi Bar & Restaurant is the place to go! I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the quality of their food and the reasonable prices.

First off, the sake was fantastic - perfectly chilled and served fresh from the bottle. The miso soup was also a standout dish, with a rich, savory broth that was the perfect starter to my meal.

Next up, the edamame was cooked to perfection - not too soft, not too hard - and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. And the sushi! Wow. The rolls were expertly crafted, with fresh, high-quality fish and perfectly cooked rice. I especially loved the spicy tuna roll.

But what really stood out to me about Nama was the value. With so many sushi restaurants charging exorbitant prices, it was refreshing to find a spot where I could enjoy such great food without breaking the bank.

Overall, I highly recommend Nama Sushi Bar to anyone looking for a delicious, affordable sushi experience. You won't be disappointed!

I went for happy hour and summer restaurant week. Three course summer deal had amazing food and the restaurant had attentive service. The chefs were professional and percise. The miso soup was delicious. The nagiri and sushi were on point. The mochi ice cream desert was flavorful.

Wow. We received a recommendation from a friend to try this place out and I’m so glad we did. The sushi was so amazing and so fresh. we got several rolls and ate every single piece!! The service was awesome and the ambience was great. The drinks were also very delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Music was loud. That was my biggest complaint. Otherwise, excellent sushi. Probably best I've had in town. I say at the bar and they were out of one of my orders, but the sushi chef gave me recommendations, which I accepted, and ended up with a wonderful meal.

The miso was very flavorful and contained more mushrooms and onion in it then I'm used to which added to its overall experience.

Highly recommend. The maki/sushi was very good and sliced a little thinner than usual which made them so much easier to eat - I didn’t know I needed that in my life until I had dinner here. The sushi was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The service was great, the atmosphere is awesome - the decor is really classy but also fun, color-wise. Last note - Happy Hour (4-6pm, M-F) is absolutely worth it, you save anywhere from $2 to $4 bucks on apps, rolls, and drinks.

I love everything about this place. The service, sushi chef, waitress, and atmosphere was awesome. The sashimi was so fresh and prepared beautifully. The sushi chef explained where each piece of the sashimi came from. Our waitress was so patient with the people in my party that did not know anything about sushi. We had a lovely time. I will definitely come back.

Out for a night with some friends and we just stumbled into this restaurant. The food was outstanding all around and the service was fast and professional. The ambience is nothing special but overall I was there for the food and it did not disappoint.

If you are a sushi lover and if you are in Washington DC, you should definately try this restaurant. Nama was high quality, quite clean and well designed restaurannt. And surprising part is, quite affordable. I think their sushi shef like to be experimental and it definately pays back when you taste them. The sushis we ordered were definately top noch, taste like heaven and the presentation was very cute. Their service people, Dariel and Maria were very kind, friendly and respectful people. They really made our night. When we finish our dinner, they served us an amazing delicious desert as a complimentary. We were 4 people and 1 child, even our child was so happy with the food. I highly recommend you to visit Nama. You will not be regret!!! :-)

The food here was amazing! The sushi was fresh and fantastic. I am very picky about yellowfin but decided to try a roll with it. I am so glad I did as it was wonderful. I will definitely be back for more!

Amazing experience!!! Santos at the sushi bar was amazing. I’ve been eating sushi for over 15 years and have never had an experience like this. The cuts I’ve had while here along with the amazing king salmon. Lord have mercy!!! Please come, do your yourself a favor.

Best sushi place we ate at in DC! It's a small place, but the food is fantastic. Fish was fresh and tasty. The miso soup was probably the best any of us have ever had. The gyoza was different in that it was served in a warm truffle broth that was so tasty! Even the uni was so fresh and delicious. There are great sushi and drink specials too for happy hour (4-6pm), They interestingly share a dessert menu with the Italian restaurant next door, so we had tiramisu and chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce which were both excellent. We ended up going here 3 times during our week in DC since we liked it so much. I just wish they were open for lunch!

We stopped in right before they closed. They were cool about it and gave great service. The miso soup is better than most if not all places in DC. I think the rolls are a bit pricey, but I’ve never had a bad one here. They also have a good happy hour for food every day.

Very fresh fish and and tasty sushi! They didn’t have a huge menu which I wasn’t sure about at first but every single item we tried was fantastic.
