The food was really good. I had the spicy beef stew and the KFC chicken as an appetizer. The Stew was hot (still boiling when it arrived) and came with a bowl of rice and complementary vegetables. The spice in the stew was not overwhelming and very flavorful. My only complaint is that since the food is very niche, there should be pictures of each dish on the menu. It was really hard to decide what to order because I wasn't sure what alot of the items were.

This was some of the best food my boyfriend and I have ever had! The food was bursting with flavor, portion sizes were huge, and the service was amazing! We were almost in tears to how good the food was! Our server Hector did an amazing job and truly described the food so well when he said Mandu is like a perfect home-cooked meal! If you are looking for AMAZING Korean dishes or just good food in general PLEASE TRY OUT MANDU!

In DC for three nights with my amazing GF Mindy 🥰 . . . we got into the hotel a bit exhausted but hungry - not wanting to drive anymore, the Korean place we had chosen originally was off the table, so we looked to see what was around . . . the universe had Mandu in the wings for us! Only a five minute walk for us, so winner winner BiBimBap Dinner. Jun was our waiter - he was AMAZING! BEST waiter EVER! Extraordinary attention and service - as well as recommendations - steered me to the Smokey Korean -if you like Smokey drinks then I highly recommend! Jun also brought us some Banchan all
was good but the pickles were especially tasty! Mindy and I both had the BiBimBap - Mindy the tofu and I the bulgogi - both were absolutely delicious. Portions were huge, so we ended up taking home enough for a second meal! Loved the drink so much I got a second drink 😋. This place rocks! Go - eat- you’ll love them too!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mandu in Washington DC, and let me tell you, it was an absolute revelation. This place has everything you could possibly want in a Korean restaurant and more.

First off, let's talk about the Golgi beef. Holy cow (pun intended), this dish is a true masterpiece. The beef is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning to bring out all the flavors. The meat is juicy and tender, and each bite is an explosion of deliciousness.

But that's not all - the Ddukbokgi and Dduk Mandu Guk are also out of this world. The spicy rice cakes and dumpling soup are perfectly balanced and so comforting. It's like a warm hug in a bowl.

And let's not forget about the happy hour menu. This place has some of the best happy hour deals in town, with prices that won't break the bank. It's the perfect spot to unwind after work or catch up with friends.

But what really sets Mandu apart is the overall vibe of the place. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. You can tell that the people here are passionate about what they do, and it shows in every dish and every interaction.

Great all around. I had the mandu (of course) the Juk, the galbi and teokbokki. I loved everything and even the banchan was really delicious. There was a nice smoky flavor to the teokbokki that I enjoyed and the galbi was so tender and rich. I also had the dress to empress cocktail which was really good. The service was really friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back!

Great taste. I would recommend getting a better rice cooker and use stainless steel pot for stew 😋

Came here for dinner after work with a few coworkers. We were immediately sat when we arrived for our reservation. It was 7 of us in our party. It was a small restaurant but I appreciated that there was a decent amount of space between tables. We were given water and the opportunity to look through the menu. The waiter was very attentive and moved quickly!
Since i had eaten a big lunch, here at Mandu I ordered the KFC and a sojutini. The chicken was so crispy!! I wish I would've asked for the sauce on the side and dipped the wings instead of having the sauce dressed on the chicken. The wings were big and juicy, i even had some leftover. My drink was also good and simple.
I also appreciated that we were able to pay quickly via the QR code on the receipt.
Go here if you have a taste for Korean or want to try something new! They had authentic menu items.

An authentic Korean restaurant. I visit once a week for good asian food. I love their duru jige and kalbi. They also service free Korean side dishes which you can refill for free. Interesting thing is they serve Korean brunch too. You can make your weekend starts from here.

This was a really great, easy recommend dinner spot. Not fancy, but still playful. Not decadent, but really comforting. Not rigid in form or delivery, but very much connected to the original and deliver with sizzle & flair.
We dined on the patio on a lovely night out in DC and while it did drizzle for a while during our meal, the tents kept us dry, so no worries. We were very glad to have had the chance to dine with Mandu and happy they've been able to weather the current circumstances and deliver a meal worth remembering with class. Hats off to the chef and especially our server who was an absolute pro, knowledgeable, and even sent us home with extra house kimchi and sambal 🤤. Go and see them if you get a chance. Definitely worth!

Must try place if you’re in the area or visiting DC!! We made a reservation same day and were seated as soon as we got there. Our waiter was so attentive and sweet - my mom has several dietary restrictions and he really took the time to review the menu with her.

We got the Bibimbap, Duru Jjigee, and the Jajang Myun…all were phenomenal!! It’s really hard to pick a favorite because each were so good in their own way. We also got the Lemonade and Ginger Beer which were both fresh and yummy. We topped off the meal with the twisted donut which was delicious.

I wish I got pictures of all the food but only got the Bibimbap. Thanks for an incredible dinner we won’t forget!!

I visited this restaurant slightly before 6pm and I could get a table without waiting. I ordered dolsot bibimbab which is mixed rice in a hot stone bowl. The main dish came with the complimentary vegetable dish. To my surprise, the taste was almost like the one in the South Korea. I asked if the restaurant is run by a Korean owner and the waiter said yes. The fresh healthy meal only cost $18. Here is a tip if you order a bibimbab. The chili paste sauce Gochujang is salty and spicy. So begin with a teaspoon of it and taste it before you add it more.

Loved the food!!! JUK plus the poached egg is something AWESOME! ❤ loved the fried chicken, so nice the they were able to put the sauce aside so we could deep into it to not get too messy. The bulgogi is also amazing. Will return back to try everything else on the menu!

Was not what I was expecting exactly but it was still good. My family ordered a variety of dishes including the Mandu, KFC, pajeon, juk, hoduk, grilled meats, ttoekbokki, jjajangmyun, the brunch platter, etc. I had the juk and jjajangmyun and the juk was my favorite! I really appreciated the handmade noodles in the jjajangmyun too. I also had the yogurt sojutini, which was good. I definitely want to go back and try more dishes! Staff was awesome and explained dishes to members of my family that didn't know much about Korean dishes.

This was my first Korean food experience. I went here with a co-worker and was blown away with how delicious the food was. I have recently started trying new food and would encourage someone else to do the same. And start here for Korean cuisine. Pictued below is the Dolsot Bibimbap bowl and fried dumplings.

I came here recently and they were doing a special bulgogi burger. Absolutely outstanding. This place is an institution, and Chef Yesoon and Danny are local legends.

Very good Korean bbq, with quite a few different options available. Great vegetarian options. The good is high quality, and the servers do a great job being attentive and helping.

Very authentic Korean food. Was planning to order tofu soup but someone next me orderes the beef and smelled soo good. Turned out that's a great choice. The free kimchi and cucumbers are amazing. Nice staff and cozy environment.

Food was amazing!! Service was a bit "different" because of Covid, but appreciated. Order through your phone, food brought to the table. No actual "service" but definitely understandable!! Will go back again!
