Sky Valet Shoes

Best shoe store in DC — hands down. No low-quality footwear in sight here. Not to mention the excellent service; whoever left that one star review is full of it because this place and the customer service here rocks. Hetom pulled out their new selection from high-quality French brand Paraboot, we spoke footwear, and he was knowledgable and helpful. My only complaint? Too many great shoes to choose from! Will without a doubt be coming back to this store. If you are looking to purchase some excellent footwear get yourself over to Sky Valet and support a great local business.

I walked into Sky Valet Shoes with a men's brogue in mind, but I was open to alternatives; thank goodness I was. The owner took the time to understand what I was looking for, then showed me a few different models. I turned down a brogue, choosing a beautiful calfskin, Goodyear welted, leather soled Sanders monk shoe instead. Very happy I stopped into Sky Valet Shoes. I will certainly return.

Friendly and helpful but not pushy. I got an amazing pair of Paraboots here. Sad to hear they don’t plan to stock that brand in the future, but plenty of great options still.

This is a gem of a store. It is so rare to find these brands in a well curated store. This is the ONLY one in the DMV that houses top makers like John Lobb, Barrett, Crockett and Jones, and Santoni in one place. I also have a wide foot, and helped me find the perfect brand.

The prices are also fantastic. You would pay more in Europe for many of these from experience. Absolutely worth a visit just to see the selection and there's a great chance you'll walk out with something. Couldn't be happier and will be coming for all my shoe purchases in the future.

Great store with a fantastic selection of shoes. I bought some Barrett loafers and the owner refurbished the shoes I was wearing after I asked if he had a product I could buy that would help them. Old school in all the best ways.

I had a very good experience. Knowledgeable, with a good collection of shoes. I was thinking of getting some shoe polish with my shoes, but he advised me to wait as he didn’t have a perfect match in stock at the moment, even though there were some very close matches. I think that says a lot about the trustworthiness of this business. If you’re looking to find a pair of shoes you’ll wear for 10+ years at fair price, this is the place to go.

I have used Sky Valet Shoes (SVS) six times for shoe repairs. The last two times I had double leather soles and heels put on originally rubber soled Alden shoes. As always, they took care of colour imperfections in the leather and delivered to me shoes that were like new.

I am sure that I will send my Alden Cordovan shoes there for repair when the time comes for them to need attention. SVS has the Alden lasts, and that ensures a factory like rebuild and repair.

Had a great (honest) conversation about shoes with the owner and walked out with a very fine pair of Crockett & Jones derby’s. Very knowledgeable and no-nonsense. Enjoyed my shopping experience.

I ordered a pair of Crockett and Jones shoes two weeks before my wedding and they wore bigger than I had anticipated. I called up Hetom in a mild panic, and he reassured me that he could fix the problem because he is a shoe maker by trade, not simply a salesman. I sent the shoes back to Hetom on a Friday and I received them the following Wednesday, complete with a leather insole that made the shoes fit better than any other. Hetom is clearly an expect craftsman and also gentleman for assuaging my nerves. I will be doing business with Sky Valet Shoes for years to come.

I love this place. It always has been my favorite shoe shop but it was a little hard to get to when it was in Georgetown. Now that they've moved to their new location, I cannot stay away! I've bought countless Crockett & Jones dress shoes from this shop. The owner even does weather protection on the soles onsite. If you want real quality mens dress shoes, this is the place to go to.

Grabbed a pair of Crockett & Jones from Hetam yesterday, super helpful! He cut down a black leather belt for me very quickly as well. Great service, top products.

Treated professionally and very helpful by the owner. Bought four pair of C&J’s over two visits. Even gave me a tin or two of polish to keep them looking good. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and buy again.
