Can't rave enough about Matthew at Benson's Jewelers! I brought a necklace I had as a baby, and he completely re-purposed the broken chain and built me a new necklace, and bonus bracelet!! They are so knowledgeable about gold, stones, watches, designing, everything! And you absolutely can not beat their prices. Bensons is willing to work with whatever budget you have!

I bought my first watch here and my family has been purchasing jewelery from Benson's for many years. I can't say enough about the amazing service or their top quality jewelry. From floor pieces to custom pieces they will take great care of you and you will leave happy every time.

Ken and his team are incredible. I bought an engagement ring from him that came from the manufacturer and when it came back and it looked slightly different than the one in the store. He noticed the differences and made sure to get it right. It is gorgeous! On top of that, I went to shop for a wedding band and we said we wanted one that was available, but needed to be ordered. We chose to wait for 2 months and would order it closer to the wedding date. I went in today and Ken ordered the ring, in my size, so there would be no wait, without us asking him too. it's the little things that shows someone cares. Incredible customer service. Will continue to use them as my jeweler for everything!!

I needed to get my engagement ring resized, and Benson's let me come in without an appointment, had it done in two hours, and the ring is perfect. You can't tell it's been modified at all. Dropping it off and picking it up probably took less than 15 minutes combined. The resizing was also very affordable. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable.

We recently bought wedding bands from Bensons Jewelers and could not be happier. Ken went above and beyond, working with us to evaluate custom diamond ring options, as well as more traditional bands. Ken and others were communicative, attentive, and committed to helping us find rings that we were excited about. They made a complex process easy, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Recently I bought a pre-owned Rolex online and had it delivered to a FedEx location near my office near Archives/Navy Memorial. The watch wasn't sized for my wrist so I conducted an online search to see if there were any jewelers nearby. My search turned up Bensons Jewelers just a few blocks away. Enticed by the positive ratings, I set off on the 15 minute walk to the shop.

Ken took care of me as soon as I walked into the shop. We exchanged a few words and I showed him the watch. As he sized it on me, he asked where I had acquired it - to which I responded I had bought it online. Ken took my watch to the back and worked on it while I waited. He returned about three or four minutes later with a perfectly sized watch.

To my astonishment, Ken would not let me pay for the service he so kindly performed. He only asked me not to forget "brick and mortar" businesses. We spoke about this for a few minutes because I agree that it is important to support local brick and mortar establishments to ensure their continued existence.

I plan to call Ken soon to ask whether he can reattach the crown on my Omega. Based on Ken's customer service and friendliness, I recommend Bensons without hesitation and look forward to visiting the shop again.

I had been looking for a reputable jeweler to remove a link from my watch (after a previous jeweler-NOT Benson’s-ruined the band trying to take out a link). I stopped in Benson’s and shared my previous bad experience and my concern about trying again. The jeweler was very helpful and successfully removed the link without damage! He was also kind enough to waive the fee for the service, given my previous experience and concern about potentially losing another watch if it didn’t work out. Thank you Benson’s!

What amazing service. I dropped my watch off for repair at lunch intending to come back mid-afternoon. Instead I showed up just after 5 and they were closed. No problem, I work nearby and would come again tomorrow. I was halfway down the street when a guy called after me to come back. He opened the shop back up and provided me with my watch. Didn't even charge me for it!!! I've been there a few times before for watch servicing and ring cleaning - they do a wonderful job. But you can bet when I make my next jewelry purchase I'm heading there for that. Thank you for the great - small but really big - service!

Ken helped me try to find the perfect ring - a sapphire round ring with diamonds around the stone (birthday gift to myself!). He was so nice and genuine which I really appreciated. I always prefer to shop local especially now. I highly recommend Benson Jewelers.

I have used Benson's for jewelry repair multiple times. They are wonderful. The work is always ready on the day promised; the workmanship is excellent; the price is fair; and the customer handling top notch.

Benson's is great. They were able to re-size my ring within 2 hours! I dropped it off before 11 AM and got it back by around 1:00 PM. The ring fits great and in perfect condition.

Got two gold religious medallions from Benson's and matching chains. I thought the prices were reasonable and the service excellent. They did not have the medallions in stock but they were able to order them and they came in the next day. They also do engravings. Really nice family run store. Would recommend.

My fiancee and I had our engagement rings re-sized (smaller) and repaired here, and they exceeded our expectations!

Both rings were from the 1930s and had been poorly re-sized (up) elsewhere before we got them: Hers had a small section at the bottom that was made of what was obviously a different material, and mine appeared to have been somehow stretched so that it was extremely thin at the bottom. Her ring (which is a bit more art deco, and had been her grandmothers) was also missing one of the small whorl-patterned details decorating the gallery of the head.

Bensons restored my fiancee's ring and completely remade my ring's band so skillfully that I would never have known anything had been done to either of them. Both rings are 14k white gold. The price was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done to them ($138 for hers, $150 for mine).

Our family has purchased from Bensons for years. We love supporting a locally owned and operated jeweler. Ken is very knowledgeable, all the staff are pleasant to work with and there pricing is great.

The staff at Benson's is AMAZING; Knowledgeable and personable. I brought in my sister's broken necklace and it was fixed within minutes. It was an easy fix, and they did it on the house. I'm sure they can't/wouldn't do this for a more difficult fix, but it was appreciated nonetheless. Thank you, Bensons!

A particular employee - Matthew - went to war to create an engagement ring that she loved and was excited about. Not only that, it was done in a short amount of time. He sacrificed his time, energy, and creativity to help out a random customer that wanted to get engaged in a couple of days. Because of the time constraint, the ring didn't turn out exactly the way I had wanted, but instead of arguing dimes and nickels, Matthew generously gave a full refund! They DEFINITELY have my business in the future for all fine jewelry in the future, and I highly recommend Matthew! Can't say enough about the outstanding customer service at Bensons!

My wife and I have been using Bensons several times in the last few years. They've replaced the battery on my Tag Heuer, sized my wife's engagement ring, they engraved our wedding ring and just recently I bought a Luminox watch from them. I could've saved close to $100 by buying the watch online, but knowing they've always been solid (not to mention an official retailer for Luminox), I decided to buy it from them. I'm sure there are other great jewelers in DC but since we've always had great experiences with Bensons, we keep going back.

I just read the article about the gift certificate from 50 years ago! I just called and spoke to the owner! I told him that he has restored my faith in mankind, especially in today's crazy busy world! He was very humble and simply did "the right thing". Absolutely amazingly awesome! Beautiful store with a little something for everyone. Watches, diamonds, high end jewelry, and repairs. Experts in their field they can finally any type of diamond you are looking for within the budget you give them. They also have a master bench jewler who can do custom work. I can't say enough about how great this place is. They took time to explain diamonds to me and helped me pick the right diamond!

Excellent experience at Bensons Jewelers. A treasured ring was given to my son to use the diamonds to include in an engagement ring for his fiance. The service at Bensons was superb, and the ring is exquisite.
