This is an outstanding place if you're in the least bit interested in how people lived in Appalachia from mid-1800's up through the 1950's. There are LOTs to do here with a big emphasis on kids activities. A lot of authentic split log.cabins even if they had to be pieced together. There are a total of 5 small museums on site and a m amazed on the sheer amount of articles they've collected and the overall condition. Of course my personal favorite was the blacksmith building.

My husband and I attended the Christmas Village! Such beautiful displays, so interactive, enjoyable for all ages. Clean, good crowd control. Wonderful nativity performance. All the museums open for touring as well!

Omg you have to go. Was the best thing since sliced bread.
Just seeing old tools, cars, it's just amazing. Love the animals. The employees are the best. Literally make you feel like your home.

I brought my son to ride the mountain bike trails at Heritage Farm this weekend. We had a blast. The trails are super fun. Highly recommend checking this place out!

My family visited the Christmas Village. It was magical! The decorations were beautiful, and there were so many activities to do. We enjoyed meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, going on a wagon ride, making a Christmas ornament, and decorating sugar cookies. The live Nativity was very moving. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. This event was so well organized, and our family will definitely be back again next year.

I went there for their spring festival and it was the first time I’d ever been. An absolutely stunning property with so much going on. Heritage Farm’s history is so sentimental and it thoroughly highlights Appalachian history. There are so many buildings, museums, exhibits, activities, and more to do there that it is well worth admission price. Definitely bring the family as there is something for everyone and you can spend all day there being busy! Support local 💚

Our 2 kids had a blast mountain biking for the better part of a very rainy day. It was a great beginner experience for our one son, and our more experienced son also liked the trails. Everyone who worked at the farm museum was not only friendly, but also genuinely enthusiastic about the exhibits and activities. Thanks for the great day, Heritage Farm!

My son and our friends absolutely enjoyed our time there. Going for the fall fest was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to go back to just visit! And I must say. As a person who pays close attention to the general care and health of the animals when I go to a place that there are some, I was definitely well pleased at the love and care they are provided with. And that made it even better. They do a great job everywhere! Thanks for the experience 😊

I have been twice. Once in the summer, and recently to the Christmas Village display. Absolutely beautiful both times, especially with all the Christmas lights. I loved all of the history that is present in the different buildings. The live nativity was wonderful!

My school has a group of 2nd graders going on a field trip here so I tagged along and brought my daughter. She was a bit younger than the other kids but loved certain parts of our adventure for the day. I would say the house was her favorite part because she got to play house lol. For course the love animals were a hit and she liked to rope bridges outside but struggled with them a bit. The train area was another interest; she had fun looking at the towns set up and the engines running. I look forward to taking to her when she's a bit older and I think she'll get more out of it.

Plan on spending 4 or 5 hours here. Lots of things to see in the museums and kids activities. $15 for adults and 12.99 and 10 for kids. There is a discount for seniors. Well worth the money because of all there is to do. There are also special activities that are an extra cost. Make sure you go online to make reservations for the special activities.

This little gem is a bit out of the way, but our family really enjoyed it. Very interesting and informative, about life in early Appalachia. Very friendly staff, open to conversation. Answered every question we had with a smile.

This is a hidden gem in Huntington. This place has plenty to see and do for kids and adults. The staff was so friendly and willing to give their historical knowledge, i was impressed. This is a great nostalgic village that really gives you a sense of the good ole days but with fun activies for the kids. We didnt get to sit down for a meal in the kitchen which looked good, but did have some excellent home made icecream. The church is beautiful and said that they hold weddings and events in there. You can also rent some of the cabins to stay in which i thought was a great idea. The petting zoo is great and the kids play area is awesome. We plan on making a day trip to Huntington for Christmas to see it all lit up.

This is a wonderful place for the entire family. We did a family trip of 10 people and there was plenty to keep everyone busy and happy the entire day. The staff was super nice, the food was great, and the kids loved all the climbing. We will be going again.

Down a 2 lane you will find heritage farms. Plenty of parking. Welcome center and gift shop on one side small restaurant on other. Separate buildings holding different events. Everyone we met were so knowledgeable and so friendly. Hand made artisans explaining their craft. Petting zoo and thongs for children. Beautiful property
Loved learning more history

Went with my daughter's class and loved it. I've studied colonial times my entire life and I learned things I never imagined I would be so fascinated with. Highly recommend taking a day and going with the family.
