Valley Health - East Huntington

I spoke with Anastasia on the phone this morning regarding referrals. She was extremely helpful and personable. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and secure with my care at Valley. She took time to be very detailed and explain step by step how to follow up with my care and answer all the questions I had with care and compassion. People like her are the reason Valley Health will forever be my go to place for all outpatient health needs. Thank you Anastasia for you all you do for the people of the tri-state area!

This place will always hold a special place in my heart. The first place I’ve went to seeking help for my mental health. The place that made me feel confident to smile again.
My PCP, Jessica Purdue, has changed my life forever. Seeking out help from constant depression, postpartum depression, and anxiety wasn’t easy. Her bubbly, judgement-free personality made it so much easier than I thought it would. After a few trials and errors, referral to psychiatry for ADHD, we found the right combo of meds. She has not only changed my life but also, my son’s life for the better. He now has a functioning momma!
My dentist, Chase Preston, has also changed my life. I lost my smile for quite some time due to various reasons; pregnancy causing my teeth to chip, braces left untreated due to moving away from my orthodontist, not brushing bc of pain. All of which lead to cavies growing on every tooth. He has done wonders on my teeth. It is still weird to see myself with whole teeth, almost like a dream. He has gave me the confidence to smile again!
I am beyond thankful for all of my providers and valley health!

Jason is an amazing doctor. My health is improving tremendously. Everyone is so very nice from the lab to the front desk. Thank you guys for being the best

I had a pap done so under those circumstances all and all I felt comfortable. The only complaint I have is that I had to wait almost an hour in the room with of course that paper towel draped over me. Overall the doctor and nurse were personable. The doctor was very knowledgeable and seemed to know he had alot of experience.

I have been to many Dr. Offices in my 54 years. Never have a had such a great experience and relationship with a group of medical staff. They are on top of every situation, and really care about their patients. Two of my grown children are also patients, and they have received excellent care. One of my sons is a bedbound, TBI patient in my care and when I need them , they always respond quickly and get the situation under control. Thank you VHE!

Stephanie Maynard is the best NP I have ever had.... I recommend her to everyone! She really cares about her patients. 💐😊🍂. Dr. Christina Johnson (psych) is a sweetheart and helps me so much.... I also recommend her to everyone! 💐😊🌻

Everyone was so polite and helpful. From the moment I checked with the receptionist, who was very pleasant and extremely friendly, to the optometrist. The staff helped me pick out glasses and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it was a GREAT expreriebce and would refer others to Valley Health!

I've been going to Valley Health for all of my basic care needs for several years. One thing that I have noticed from all providers and nurses/etc, is that I always feel noticed and my needs recognized. All of the employees make you feel comfortable and constantly check in on your well-being to make sure you're getting what you need. I have never felt uncomfortable there, and I always leave feeling like I have been listened to. They are always quick and efficient and great about communicating with you.

Optometry care at the East Huntington Valley Health location was excellent. I went in today to select new glasses. The service was outstanding! There was a wide selection of frames. The fitting was professionally done with care and the selection of available lenses to fit my need was thoroughly explained. I'm looking forward to wearing my new fashionable Valley Health glasses!

Dr. Ashworth was great. He seemed to genuinely care & was very thorough going through my medical conditions, medications, & history. This was my intake visit, but if this intake is anything like the care, I will be receiving, I am confident in my choice to become a Valley Health client again.

Everyone at Valley Health-East Huntington has always been very nice and respectful to me. I truly love the doctors and nurses behavior--they are very nice people. They are there to help their patients! Thanks so much!

Valley Health East Huntington is wonderful. Dr Amy Marstellar is always ready to listen as long as necessary to find your problem. Also Megan and Erica are great to take care of you. And NP Jason Ashworth seems to be great too even tho I have only limited contact with him.

As always had a wonderful experience at my doctors today. I want to say thank you to all the wonderful staff at Valley Health. My doctor is the best Amy Marsteller.

My daughter had a wonderful experience thanks to the x-ray technician working there today (01-04-2021) around 4:00PM. Very friendly, kind, considerate & went out of her way to make my daughter comfortable & not feel so self conscience & exposed during many rather difficult x-rays. She was very nervous about it all beforehand. X-ray tech treated her with respect, dignity and as if she were an old friend. We don’t normally visit this office, but my daughter was asking if we could switch providers because of this one great experience with amazing staff. Thank you! I’d send a thank you note if I knew a name! 🙂

Greeted at the door and offered a mask.
Checked in, taken care of politely, called back for appointment at appropriate time. Assistant greeted me by name. Dr. spent necessary time to address my issues and answered my questions. In and out in one hour. All around great experience.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and we just love Dr. Fulton, she is very thorough and she acknowledges the child and directs her questions to them. Thank you for being a caring physician.

Always a great experience at Valley Health Rt 60! I’ve been seeing Dr. Marsteller for a few years now and she is the best primary care doctor I’ve ever had. She takes the time to listen and really get to the bottom of any problem or concern. I’ve always felt rushed by doctors in the past but she always makes me feel like I am her ONLY concern when she is in my room. Great care on top of that. Highly recommended.

04/07/22 (1255) I came to get blood work today while one of my sons had a dental visit. The receptionist registering me was extremely rude 🥺😣😔 pretty sure her manager was behind her, too. I really hope this isn't the direction they are going (people wise). When I came in I have to wait on this woman scheduling an appt. for her daughter in law 🤨. Then 2 more people come in. The lady finally leaves, I walk up and the receptionist (the only one working) looks at me and says those people were here first. I said, "no, they just walked in." She continues to argue and tell me they were there earlier! They finally look at her and say, "no, we just walked in." Thank goodness for rare good people 🙌. I could tell the receptionist did not like they were honest, she had a terrible attitude! I just switched doctors from VH in Hurricane to E. Huntington 😖😣😩😫 I hope I do NOT have to continue seeing her when I come here! Im not reducing my stars as I like my new doctor (Maynard) so far, and the problem was just a receptionist registering ppl. Luckily the young man helping with drawing blood was extremely sweet & helpful. Also, the lady doing my blood draw was nice, too. The young man smoothed things over, need keep people like him & value them!

04/27/21 (1615)- Went in second visit to get a filling done with dental. I am going to up my rating to 5☆. The man working the door was so nice both times, same man. The dentist Dr. Smith was amazing & her assistants are also amazing. Very rarely do I feel comfortable in a doctor setting but I have never had an issue and I go to Valley Health for all my medical needs (except eye but I see me there near future). I have and definitely will continue recommending Valley Health. Puts a person at ease when you can trust your health in the hands of your doctors. If I could I would rate them higher than 5, they exceed expectations. 5 would be perfect, but as I said most doctors I met here exceed expectations. I hope this never changes, much needed in these times (time period). I go to both Huntington & Hurricane/Teays Valley locations. Oh! And most always on point with time.

11/16/20 (around noon)- The phlebotomist was really nice, I would get my blood done here again. She gave me very valuable info & I am spreading to inform others. Wish I could say the same for lady working door. She was nice when I came in, but seemed irritated when I asked questions as leaving about covid. But guess better get use to that this day & age. And maybe she was tired or something which is understandable, having bad day which we all have, or just fed up with this pandemic like we all are. I was safe distance & masked, I'm a curious individual 🤷‍♀ cannot help it!

I came to Valley Health optometry as a new patient transfer when my work insurance was not accepted at my doctor of 10+ years. While it took quite a while to get in (called for an appointment in April-first available was in Sep.), Dr. DiStefano and the staff were great and quick. My contacts had been discontinued (of course!!....), and they’re letting me try other similar brands, free of charge to see what works for me before I buy any. Great experience!

Excellent, caring staff and physicians! They are as accommodating as possible, even though I can imagine how busy their office may be! When I am there for an appointment, I never feel rushed and always feel that I matter as a patient/person. The facility is modern and clean and there is very little wait-time once you sign in. I just can't say how thankful I am to be a patient here... I highly recommend!!
