Let me start off saying I had a wisdom tooth that has been hurting for a week everyone was booked up i called Gunn dentistry Friday July 8th they told me to come in that day. They were so nice and professional explained everything to me then pulled my wisdom tooth no pain didn’t feel anything at all. I will definitely be back I have never had a dentist that made me feel more comfortable then Dr.L and Dr.S thank you guys very much!! I read the other comments and I have to say nothing was true after going there. James M

Saved me money, and from serious infections from impacted wisdom teeth twice. If you don’t have insurance this is the place to go to that has the most affordable care. Not only that Mr. Gunn is easy to talk to, and is also thorough. Honestly the most comfortable I’ve been in a dentist office even though it may be small. I’m grateful that people have established an affordable and flexible place for people to go. Every other place I’ve call in Huntington never called me back or answered, but they were there when I needed help. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I've had a bad tooth for the past 6 months couldn't get help from anyone not valley health or mountain state!! Dr Gunn did a wonderful job talked me all the way through it I wasn't scared or in pain at all!! I definitely will come back here every time I need dental work done!! The staff is very friendly nice comfortable atmosphere I would recommend them to anyone!!

Very professional and nice. I really don't like dentist and I informed them I was scaried and they took the time to explain everything to me and warn me when changing tools. I highly recommend them!

Make sure you have insurance or they'll kick you right out of the chair with the bib and all.

Receptionist was a sweetpea, very lovely. On the other hand, made me sit in the waiting room for about an hour, made my partner stand outside in the cold as well just to tell me i’m not a good fit for this dentist and I need to find another one, didn’t even take a look at my teeth to see what’s going on knowing i’m in excruciating pain. They also don’t give you a reason why either as to why the dentist isn’t a good fit for you, I called before hand to let them know I didn’t have dental insurance, they said no biggie and to come in anyways, waste of my time and money on an uber.

They looked over my teeth well and my gums but they told me they think I have two cavities based on two black dots on the x-rays. I made an appointment for teeth being cleaned and examined and they said they could only do one or the other even though I had specifically said what I was coming in for and was not told prior the appointment I would need two separate appointments for this. I ended up going to a different dentist because the words “we think” for a cavity is not something I really wanted to hear. I found that I did not have cavities and was able to get my teeth cleaned and examined in one appointment instead of multiple. It also took them until my next appointment for them to have my xrays back as well, which I thought was strange.

They were rude as they could be.

I gave one star is because there is not a place for 0 stars. This is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever been to. I am not hard to deal with and I cause no trouble. First thing is my appointment was for 7:30 am and the office wasn't even open yet. I told the dentist I was hard to numb straight off the bat. He gave me the traditional three shots which did not numb me. I told him I'm not numb so he started punching both sides of my mouth hard. He then asked if my tongue was numb and I told him no. This seemed to aggrivate him more. He went back to pinching the sides of my mouth again and when I said I am still not numb he became very insulting towards me and all but called me a liar. This is one example of his rudeness.His exact words were "I was procrastinating having the tooth pulled because I was afraid" (therefore pretending I wasn't numb). After waiting with me to get numb a little longer he asked if I was numb yet and I said no. He immediately walked out of the room and sent his assistant in to ask me to leave and go see an oral surgeon. I was there for a simple tooth extraction. I have seen four other dentists and all of them simply gave me another shot and I would get numb and puffy for hours. I came straight home and took a straw and wrapped my lips around it, on the side that was supposed to be numb and drank my beverage. Had I been numb there would be no possible way I could have done that. I should have been slobbering by this time. I am terrified of shots in the mouth therefore it would be extremely naive to even consider I just wanted another shot to procrastinate pulling the tooth. The other dentists I have seen did not act like this nor did they get aggrivated to give me another numbing shot in the mouth. The other dentists did not pinch me, they all poked me somewhere inside my mouth I shouldn't have been able to feel, without telling me and waited for my reaction. The waiting area was also filthy and had not been vacuumed. This is my true experience with this dentist.

First of all they was nice at first but then promise me to have my front teeth before Christmas well I still have no tooth . So I went to a different place. And called them to let them know and they was extremely rude and got a attitude about it .

Worst place ever. First off, they trued to tell me I needed to have professional surgery done for a cut in my mouth, that healed on its own and was not nessasary at all, 2nd then when i went back and they found out they were wrong, he refused me service then acted like he was going to assult me plus im pretty sure they have bed bugs. I almost didnt go to this place bc of location and id tell anyone stay far away, the def have a unprofessional hood behaviors and attitudes and even for the cheap rates or that they take insurance isnt a good reason to waste ur time there im just glad i didnt end up hurt or ripped off

I called the other day trying to schedule an appointment for general check up and teeth cleaning, she said I could only do one or the other, I then told her I had braces she asked how long I told her two months then she said she needed to call me back because she needed to check & see if she was able to do that. She called back and said she wasn't able to serve me because my teeth should have been clean before my braces was put on and that they wouldn't be able to see any cavities or clean them because of my braces. Thank God I was able to call Eric Ford DDS and I explained to them the same thing and they scheduled me an appointment right away, someone happened to cancel that day so I was seen the same day I called and my teeth were cleaned and they scheduled me out to have my cavity filled that was found during the exam. I'm kinda happy I never went to this place after reading reviews anyways.

It took a lot of calls to even get an appointment and then I had my husband take off of work early just to take me and I got there 15 minutes early like I was supposed to couldn’t get in the building there was a sign that told me to call the phone number I called and it also took a very long time to get someone to answer, and it ended up being a calling service because they were too busy to answer the phone, but there was only one car there! I never even got to go into the building. We left and came home.

Pay by cash or don't go. Insurance confuses them. lol. Dentist is super nice, however! the staff desperately need trained. The young man kept telling me I had no insurance,.Turns out, he wasn't calling the dental number on my card. The old lady did not understand how to read the computer when i asked to look up how I previously paid. She also did not know how health savings worked in my company. She also called the wrong insurance number and said I had none. I was so frustrated when I left. I immediately phoned my insurance to verify everything. They said no one had called from the dentist office.. RIP OFF! I should have known something was up when they asked me to fill out papers again, after I had to come back while they took a lunch! And they gave me an appointment card to come back an hour later. I questioned their intent to charge my insurance twice for 1 visit. They denied it, but then ask me to pay on top of everything else. I got hocked off, and left.

This place is absolutely horrible I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here!!!! The place is outdated mold growing on the carpet leaks everywhere you look!! It was raining the day I went!! Place is a rats nest! Stay away from this place
