Jackpot was our holding spot before a concert at Capital One Arena and it was EASILY my favorite part of the day, even more than the show we went to. 😆

Beer selection was fantastic, pricing was amazing, and the ambiance was as comfortable as hanging out at home. Bartenders had the fastest pours that I've ever seen. I'd ask for a beer and it would be in front of me in 30 seconds, no exaggeration. 👀

Popcorn was also super tasty. They did not hesitate to refill our basket as we munched away. I love the complete lack of stinginess. 😍

Beers they carry are top notch and pours are crisp and chilly. I don't like traffic into DC, but I will definitely go out of my way to find reasons to come to Jackpot again. I 10/10 recommend this bar. 💯👏

Fantastic craft beer bar! Not easy to spot just a door and stairs down to the large basement bar area. Once there, great choice of beers, including local brews.
Go in happy hour and get discounts and free bowls of popcorn!

Really good beer list and complimentary popcorn is a major plus. Great place to hang before or after games/events at Cap one arena. Bartenders are quick and friendly, definitely coming back here in the future

Popcorn, beer, cocktail and great bartenders! Happy to say this is only 5 minutes from our home. Great place for the beer selection and the best popcorn in town. If you like cocktails, this place is truly great.
Andrew, Dylan, Sam and Doc always take very good care of us.
They are able to serve an entire bar single-handedly without breaking a sweat. And, they are always friendly. They are just plain great bartenders!

$2 off from 4 to 8pm every day! Also we got free pop corn. We love the place and the vibes. Recommended!

Lager beer is really good here as well as beer selection in general. Free popcorn 🍿goes with any drink. Cocktails are simple and just okay.

Atmosphere is not bad, but is seems like there are lots of frequenters. So counter more likely will be very busy at night time. Nothing fancy in interior, just simple minimalism.

Service is limited to serving glasses at the counter and cleaning tables after visitors. Our bartender was extremely nice though and let me try couple samples of beer to decide what I want.

The bottom line
This bar worth visiting at least ones to try good beer ant figure out is this place is for you.

While walking through DC this place caught my attention. Just something about the feel of it even before walking down the cool stairwell into this really cool underground cave. Had my little dog with me and the gentleman at the door was super nice and welcoming to us. We we're concerned about walking with our dog so it was a nice airless to hear that they accepted him and that some locals bring their fubabies all the time. Very cool vibe. Not loud at all ( also a good surprice) even when with a pretty busy night.

Outside food is allowed if you are coming to have drinks of course. Totally recommend it.

What a fun dive bar! A Gallery Place staple. Great ambiance, drinks are cheap and quick. Doug and Jonathan were so fun to talk to and especially generous with us, especially with the free popcorn! I love coming here and cannot wait to be back. Bring your own food, they do not sell any!

Seriously, go to this bar. Staff are great, it is simple, AND THEY HAVE POPCORN!!! It’s that simple.

The bar is downstairs in an older building, and it’s a simple setup. Atmosphere is great and it is very social. Several TVs have games on them, so ask if you want something specific to be shown.

The menu is simple and one-sided. Half is standard and on tap, with the rest on paper. Popcorn is included. Show ID at the door, and you are good to go. Draft beer is as cheap as $7 (NATTY BO!!!), but many at $9.

This is a hidden gem. I can only assume the locals love this place. The beer list was fantastic and the first night we were there the bartender was spinning some really great tunes from his personal playlist. His selections were eclectic and covered multiple genres. If I lived here this place would be my bar. It's dark and the interior is nothing special but it still works. I saw several tables eating some killer food so they must allow food to be brought in delivered

Aways consistent, always just what you want, and almost always busy. A great bar with a good whiskey selection and superb staff. And free popcorn, you can't beat that. There's a reason why they're busy, best bar in Penn Square.

Happy hour every night...even if there is game at Verizon!!!! No food, but great drinks. It gets loud and crowded but .that is to be expected on game nights.

Came here after the National Portrait Gallery. A good laid back vibe where you can have drinks and a long chat without being bothered. Prices seem normal or lower than typical for DC. Walking in late on a Friday night we were able to find a table and it seems like there’s enough turnover to try your luck here because most people that walked in were able to find spots. They were also playing hockey, which completed the night.
