H street cleaners

Wife and I have been coming here for a little over a year now and we've always had a great experience. They deliver on time, their dry cleaning is excellent, and repairs are top notch. In addition to some standard dry cleaning, we've asked for a couple hems, a zipper change, and some major alterations to one of my wife's dresses, and everything was done superbly. It's a small but mighty shop and we can't recommend it enough!

I’ve gone here twice to get dressed altered my maid of honer dress and evening dress, and each time it came out amazing. the seamstress is so knowledgeable and kind to the point where I brought an address once and she told me it wasn’t a good idea alter it and hem it myself because I mentioned I could hem, so they aren’t money driven!

I had a really positive experience! I left some clothes to be mended and they did an excellent job 🤩

Everything you want from a dry cleaner. Always ready when they say things will be. High quality seamstress. Very thorough to flag anything of concern (clothes tear, stain, etc) and can usually fix any issue

This cleaners is one of the best cleaners I have been to in my life. I moved to DC from Houston, TX and can definitely say they made me feel at home. I have been coming here for 5 years, and I have never once had an issue with their service or quality of customer attention. Even after moving, I still come back even though its out of the way. They are just that good.

My fiancée had two complicated alterations done to dresses she loves and they were spot on. The woman explained what she was going to do and why it would cost a little more to do it right and she did a fantastic job. They give a lot of care to their work and I’ll be stopping by today as they are my new and permanent dry cleaner. Awesome family business!

The best cleaners in DC that I’ve come across. I used a few other competitors and just wasn’t happy with the service. This is a family run business that prides themselves in their work. Besides the exceptional cleaning & pressing services, they also do fantastic alterations at a fair price!

Fantastic service. The professionalism of work performed, whether it's dry cleaning or tailoring, is outstanding and they really go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. The tailoring is a huge plus. On top of that everyone from Jamie on down is incredibly friendly and always pleasant. I always leave Capital Cleaners in a good mood!

Capital Tailors and Cleaners is a great dry cleaners if you live near H Street or Capitol Hill East. It's on the main strip of H Street and includes two buildings. On the right is the store and on the left is their machines so you know they dry clean in house v. sending it away. The staff is very friendly and the prices the same compared to other local dry cleaners. They also have you sign a waiver when they have to do risky cleaning which makes it feel more honest. I recommend this dry cleaners!
