Went here for the screening event of Pain Hustlers, it’s a very nice and cozy theater, clean setup with drinks service .

Parking is pretty convenient , there are many parking garages within reasonable walking distance.

In a cozy basement, where dreams take flight,
A cinema stands, away from the night.
Independent films, a delightful sight,
Where straights and gays find equal delight.

Serving alcohol, the spirits are high,
Under the screen where indie stars lie.
Always fabulous, time seems to fly,
In this cinematic piece of the sky.

And oh, what joy, an escalator ride,
Conveniently placed, with charm worldwide.
Descending into this cultural tide,
Where stories and laughter coincide.

A place for all, where hearts can roam,
In this basement cinema, feels like home.
A mix of tales under a cinematic dome,
In this film haven, imagination is prone!

Great, clean, quaint theater to watch indie films in. Saw Poor Things yesterday and it was great. Seats were comfy. The vibes were chill. Theater staff was very nice. I thought I lost my headphone case but Cody, one of the workers there, was nice enough to help me check the entire theater and lost and found. Thanks Cody and E St cinema for being awesome !!

Favorite theater in DC. Always quiet, not too crowded, and a great selection of both blockbuster and smaller-release movies. I must have seen a dozen movies here so far and will continue to come back as long as I live here.

Definitely sign up for the free loyalty program online, reduced ticket fees and discounted movie Tuesdays!

Saw Easy Rider tonight with my mom at the E Street Theater and had the GREATEST cinema experience! It was both our first time at this theater and it was my mom's first time watching Easy Rider. Seeing it in the cinema, and sharing that experience with strangers is a feeling I cannot put into words, and it made me appreciate and grasp Easy Rider like never before.

Afterwards while discussing this beautiful experience with my mom, we agreed that this introduction/historical preface given here by Kit Lazer and screened right before the film set the perfect tone and transformed what would’ve been just a night at the movies as consumers, into an intellectual gathering. This, along with the fact that there are no advertisements played before the feature, show that the Landmark Theater truly has a righteous intention. Their motive and focus is the films themselves, not what they can sell alongside of it. My mother put it perfectly: “It gives respect to humans.”

Much like Easy Rider, Landmark’s E Street has the personality of an indie, with the small size of the auditorium bonding the audience and making us all somehow feel like old friends. In our laughs we became one, and in the silence we were one.

Easy Rider is a profound experience. And I love that description “A man went looking for America. And couldn’t find it anywhere…

My mom, who has very clear (and sometimes tough) opinions, was really, really moved and thought it was such an innocent and human movie. Innocent—Easy Rider, I know! But it’s really true. On the way home her whole spirit was uplifted and she described the movie as "kind," and said that watching it was a very peaceful experience. I know one thing for sure - our discussion will definitely be resuming tomorrow morning.

Our final verdict? — “Watching Easy Rider is like splashing pure and cool water, from a natural spring with a well funneled deep into the earth, onto your face.

Peace and Blessings!

First time here and so glad I found it. Parking sucks per usual and didn't know there was a game, however the theatre is cute so I won't hold it against them too much! The Clarence movie early screening was held there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The only place in town to get a sophisticated experience from movie watching without the rowdy crowds and noisy children. Full bar service concession stand provides an array of beverages one would want, only wish they’d get better bartenders, but I digress. As movie establishments go, this one is one of the best places to find that indie movie you want to watch. There is a strong community of movie lovers who come here for various events to support local and independent films. The spirit of going to the movies is alive here.

Great location and friendly service, with a vintage feel inside! We stopped by for a movie out of the blue, and I'm very glad we did! Awesome movie-going experience!

I have seen so many wonderful movies here over the years. Went last night and had a great time chatting w/ the fam about so many fun times we've had, from documentaries to thrillers to art house fare. And speaking of fare, the food is great! As is the wine! And the beer! It's not the reason I love this place, but the long escalator ride down and the knowing that you're one story (if not more) underground somehow makes this place even more fun. Usually park on the street but there is a garage. Very highly recommended.

Theater was very clean, small theaters but good selection of movies and comfortable seats. Went very late at night and it was still very clean.

Great indie film theatre. Located mostly underground. Great concessions, cocktails and beer are available as well as movie theater staples. Theater was smaller and had great sound and crisp picture. Bathrooms were very clean.

Multiplex downtown, a few blocks from the arena. Broad selection of movies, many without spandex. Rocky Horror on weekends. Full service snack stand with wine bar. They were showing animated shorts during Grammy season. Some houses are small, so look here for movies at the end of their runs. Restaurants in area, too.

They play limited release movies and serve beer, wine, and more gourmet-styled food than the chains do. That makes this place exceptional. Enter through the front doors and you're at a kiosk or using the human guest service employee to get your ticket(s). After that, you take stairs/elevator down into the dark basement where your cinematic experience begins. Bathrooms on the right, concessions on the left, and your theater awaits you straight ahead. Go there and have a blast!

Always a nice experience visiting this place. The seats could be a little more comfortable but the screens and sound system are just right. The perfect spot for an indie or art house flick. Very clean and staff very helpful. Looking forward to my next visit. Big thanks to Focus Features for the screening of Inside. This was the perfect location to see this style of flim

There are only a handful of places in the DC area where you can see foreign and indie films. This is the most conveniently located for me because it's close to both the Blue and Yellow Metro lines. The seats are comfortable but don't recline, making it more likely that I'll stay awake for the entire film. It would be nice if they had a special senior day or other little perks to compete with other theaters.

E Street Cinema is simply the best theatre in the DC area, with comfortable, reserved seating in human-sized theaters. Running a thoughtfully-curated program of high-quality films, both popular and more obscure, it gives platform to a diverse set of filmmakers and documentarians. They often host Q&A sessions with relevant speakers after viewings, and did I mention the snack bar? It features a solid range of wines and drinks, both soft and hard, along with delicious hot and cold foods. E Street is a community gem that we need to support in the post-pandemic era, as theaters struggle to compete with at -home viewing habits and competitive streaming services.

Well placed in the city. There is a nice concession stand with a full service bar. The drinks are good and they have wine. It's nice that you can buy the tickets online and there are nice places to sit and wait before the show.

First time visiting. The older gentleman who checked our tickets was nothing but polite and helpful! The concessions and alcohol choice were good for a movie theater like this one.
