Harry Thomas Recreation Center

This is THE coolest park ever! I wish i had this park as a kid! There’s an AMAZING little kid park with a soft surface and big kid park and SWINGS! There’s so few parks in the city with swings - but there’s three kinds here. Also a big field with workout equipment, tennis court, basketball court, and the pool!

Awesome pool. Good mix of adults and families come here but I have always been able to find a chair even at peak times. Much prefer it to Banneker. Street parking can be annoying but it’s usually not too bad.

The beautiful pool is only open on weekends until the end of June, but it's a great park. Playgrounds for different age groups. Basketball. Big grassy field. Nicely maintained. They have good bright lights for winter playground time.

Went on a Sunday to use their outdoor pool. They had 4 lanes for lap swimming and general area. It was nice. Lots of chairs to lounge on and a mixed crowd of families, young adults, and teens.

Only suggestion: if there could be a swimsuit spinner in the locker room. I couldn’t see one readily available.

I love the staff but dpr need to remodel.

A free, we’ll maintained, and public pool (for DC residents). Rad.

Great neighborhood pool! Pool is kept clean and is never crowded during the week. Guards are friendly and attentive. Grab a chaise early on weekends, though because​ this neighborhood secret is out.

Everyone who works at the pool is so nice! We've been several times this summer already and nothing but great experiences. Great people, great place, great time. My favorite DC outdoor pool!!

Best playground of all I went to with my 2 kids. Very spacious and a lot to explore. Swings for every age.

This is great playground for small and big kids! You can also go for a jog around it. Definitely a great spot to go with kids or even by yourself.

Harry Thomas Recreation Center features many engaging amenities, programs and water activities for all ages. This park features opens fields, courts and paved pathways for outdoor activities such as walking, biking, skating, jogging, strolling, soccer and baseball. Also, this park features large community pool.

Staff is great and the kids pool is normally not crowded not till around 5-6 pm anyway by then the kids and I are on our way out

Really nice, shaded new playground. Also has a community garden, tennis and basketball courts, and a pool that doesn't look like it's been used for a while.

We had a great time at the pool. My daughters loved it and didn't feel crowded.

I use the swimming pool at this Recreation Center inmates very clean and well-kept and I'd appreciate the park and swimming pool and Recreation Center and I'm driving I'll preach to the city of Washington for having it there

Pool is awesome, great place to let your hair down and the kids can run wild.

Nice pool and kiddy zero entry pool as well. Quiet crowd on a Sunday afternoon.

Any place that allows our kids to play a sport they love, swim and play on the playground is always a great thing

Great space to eat lunch & hang out while still keeping the current social distance needed!
