Grace Downtown Church

My son and his family attend this welcoming and solid church. The church staff is wonderfully racially diverse. The music is a nice mixture of contemporary and traditional songs done in an accessible, contemporary style. The sermon is solidly biblical and easy to understand whether you are new to church culture or not. If you are looking for a church in the Washington DC area, I would recommend it to you!

Grace Downtown is such a welcoming church. I have been attending and became a member over a year ago because they do one thing-make you feel accepted. Our motto, "In and for the city" is lived out through our members.

WARNING: so called "COUNSELING" offered is not equipped to assist you if you are experiencing a mental health crisis. I was suicidal and repeatedly asked for help (referral, doctor, anything). The staff was woefully ill-prepared to 1) recognize that I needed help she could not provide 2) actually assist me in any way. They need to put a disclaimer on their website offering "counseling" that this is pastoral guidance not a service if you need help from a qualified mental health professional. The church is actively harming people with this omission.
