Dr. Sandra Younan, DDS

Love this office! Staff is friendly and actually remembers your name and conversation from previous appointments. I've had some traumatic dental experiences before and I was thoroughly explained every process and question I had. My faith in the art of dentistry has now been restored! ;)

You genuinely can't ask for anything better. Honest, decent prices. Email appointment confirmations. Good music while in the chair. Before/after photos of anything performed to see the purpose. They're just good people here.

Let me start by saying, like many of you, I have never been a fan of going to the dentist. They're usually aggressive, tell me I don't floss enough and leave me wishing that I had never called in the first place. I've seen all kinds of dentists, whether they're aggressive, overly nice, if they overlook my issues and leave me wondering why I paid or if they're too thorough and overcharge me.

In the case of Dr. Younan, she's nothing but great. She's very candid and honest about what's going on in/around your mouth and what you're doing well or needs to be worked on.

She doesn't keep you waiting for very long for an appointment and you're never there too long (for a routine cleaning). Her staff is small but wonderful. They're always very courteous on the phone and in person and always willing to help.

As a small perk, while you are having your teeth cleaned, you are able to sit back and enjoy some TV or a movie while they do so. It beats having to look at the ceiling or up your dentist's nose for a half hour or so.

Even during some oral procedures that needed to be performed, I felt no pain because she's very aware and understanding that no one wants to feel pain while visiting the dentist.

All and all, if you live in the Lincolnshire/Buffalo Grove/Riverwoods area and you're looking for a dentist, you should give Dr. Younan a call. Even if there's a bit of a drive to get to her easy-to-find office, you'll be happy you did.
