Amazing experience! This place has a massive selection of kayaks and/or paddleboards. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely a nice guy. I enjoyed working with him to find my next boat. He was even able to give me ideas of where to go to get used to my new purchase, I am new to Majne. I am so excited to get on the water! My pup is too!

My wife and I bought two Kayaks from Shaker Hill Outdoors. The owner was super helpful in getting us both into the right kayak for each of us. My wife went in thinking she wanted a different type, but after talking with the owner, she walked away with a different (cheaper) kayak, and she absolutely loves it. Like for real, shes obsessed with her kayak. We have been on the water nearly every weekend since buying our boats and gear from Shaker Hill Outdoors. The process was easy, attentive and no pushy sales tactics. I forget the owners name, but he is super cool, and kind of looks and sounds like Vince Vaughn. So if you ever wondered what it would be like to buy a kayak from Vince Vaughn, definitely check this place out.

Great experience with this place! Saw an add for a kayak I was interested in on Craig’s List and called. Spoke to Russ on the phone...they didn’t have the size I was originally looking for but instead suggested I look at the Old Town Castine. I’m a smaller paddler and was specifically looking for a touring ocean kayak. Russ was clearly knowledgeable about kayaking and had the specs of all boats readily available. I visited the store a few days later and dealt with AJ. Again, another extremely knowledgeable and personable associate. After trying a few different lengths of the Castine, I opted for the 13.5. Was also super impressed with the store and amount of inventory on hand. Got a great deal due to end of season markdowns. I would encourage anyone looking for paddling or fishing gear to skip Cabela’s and Bean’s and come here. The big stores don’t have nearly as many boats or the variety in stock - especially at these prices. (Thanks again guys - loving my new boat! Handles great and I’ve had it out every day since I got it!)

Cannot express how incredible it was to walk into this store and meet Tim! We are first time kayakers, having only tried it out a few times on vacation, and we just moved to Maine. Tim was direct and honest and didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't need. We have two small kiddos and wanted something entry level that the kids could sit in with us. Tim was knowledgeable, he listened to our needs and made thoughtful suggestions and took great care of us! We are Shaker Hill-ers for life! I'm very excited that we have an amazing local family owned shop with a huge selection of accessories and most importantly, trustworthy service. Thank you again Tim!

Russ was very genuine and helpful. He talked us down from buying a more expensive kayak for something more realistic and practical for our needs. We look forward to buying from Shaker Hill in the future!

I would highly recommend Shaker Hill Outdoors to anyone who is interested in purchasing high quality recreation equipment. My wife and I purchased a Malibu Pedal Kayak and the staff at Shaker Hill took the time to help us figure out our needs without pressuring us and did not try to sell us things we did not need. They are highly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The whole experience was outstanding.

These guys are great! Came here with a couple buddies to buy some snowmobile gear. No upselling , just honest and knowledgeable customer service from a family owned business. Greg (one of the owners) went above and beyond and spend several hours of his (unpaid!) time showing us the ropes. Can’t say enough good things about this shop. Thanks for helping out a couple of newbies and being such a great resource!

Excellent customer service. I went with a friend that was purchasing a new canoe and the guys at Shaker Hill were great. If you are looking for a canoe, kayak, or snowmobile gear, I highly recommend them. I will definitely be buying my next canoe from them.

I just bought a Bonafide SS127 from Shaker Hill Outdoors and these guys went above and beyond. The seat had some factory defects and the crew at Shaker Hill were on top of getting it fixed immediately from Bonafide. Tim and Russ were awesome to deal with and were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I would highly recommend buying from them and will absolutely do so again myself in the future.

Five stars for inventory level, product knowledge, and friendly, helpful staff. I'd driven by these folks for years before finally deciding to stop in and explore purchasing a kayak. They asked all the right questions, showed me a ton of product that I could sit in, and were patient with my indecision. In the end I didn't mimd spending more than I had planned for the right boat. Watching them with other customers I could see that this was their culture - not just the sales guy I happened to interact with. I teach sales and customer satisfaction skills for a living so I don't give these kudos lightly. Definitely stop in here if you're contemplating a kayak or canoe purchase. Tons of accessories too!

I don't have enough good things to say about Tim, Greg and Russ. Not only do these guys know their stuff about four seasons gear, and where to go and how to be safe, but they deliver it with a smile (and some comedy!). The service and selection are outstanding, you leave there coming in with a few questions, and you leave and immediate know you not only got the answers you needed, but friends for the future.

We looked for a week for a tow behind Pelican sled (our camp is very remote), after calling a handful of places we finally stumbled across these guys, they set it up, helped us with the appropriate parts. THEN Greg was kind enough to hop in our trailer, fire up our machines and make a few quick fixes. THEN he called us two days later and we rode snowmobile for 90 miles! I can't say enough about this place, this is truly what Maine is all about; great people, great adventure, wonderful advice, and fast friendships. Look no further for your outdoor needs. Oh and kayaks, they have lots and lots of kayaks!

My husband and I just recently purchased our Old Town kayaks and will not be going to anyone else but them in the future. Russ and his coworkers were honest, friendly and helpful!

Well stocked inventory of kakaks, other boats, and a great greenhouse area with plants you dont see everyday. The salesman was extremely helpful and patient. Great local business that doesnt gouge prices and listens to their customers needs.

An all around great place, costumer service is awesome, and great products... one of my favorite places to go.
