Froehlich's Bakery

Drew Logan is a phenomenal pastry chef. We hired Froehlich's for our wedding dessert and there was not one dessert left at the end of the night. We went with the chocolate cake, cheesecake, key lime glasses and Carrot Pineapple Rum Cake for our mini dessert options and the chocolate cake for our main two tier cake. He was very great to work with as well! I would recommend hiring Froehlich's for any pastry needs!

Bring your appetite and patience. Over sized breakfast pastrys are at the ready. They have some other breakfast options as well. Of, course they have plenty of breakfast drink options. A cute little shop to peruse while you wait for your choice.

They have a sit down deli across the street as well and plenty of outside seating to relax and enjoy your food and morning.

I had the incredible biscuit, which lived up to its name. I really wanted the cinnamon roll as it also looked incredible.

What an amazing bakery this was! The flatbread is to die for. I wish I was closer so I could come here everyday. My family will definitely be stopping every time we drive through.

Five stars for this fantastic Bakery, and all things for the kitchen shop. We were visiting the New Buffalo area from Chicago and we are so happy we traveled to this lovely shop. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and quickly got us all of the jams and jellies and pastries and breads and take home pre-made Gourmet Quality Foods that we could pack in our car! We bought plenty of jars of jam so we can bring them home and give them as gifts.

Very nice shop with a good variety of pastries, smoothies, coffee/tea, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. If you’re staying nearby you can grab a pack of bagels to-go. TONs of fun treats and sweets, great for kids as the snacks come in lots of fun designs and shapes. Nice little outdoor seating to enjoy your food and drink (may be a shared space w pizza place right next door). Staff was very friendly.

From coffee and bakery goods. To a total party place with retro candy table, hostess gifts, small batch local candy and chocolate. That's all at the first original location..celebrating 30 years.

Best coffee I’ve ever had. I’m talking about the flavor and body. It’s mouthfeel is rich and delicious, no hint of burnt taste. you can tell it was brewed, stored, and handled well! I got an iced coffee with oatmilk. Definitely will have to make this stop regular. (p.s. the iced coffee ice cubes are coffee!)

The baker communicated well throughout the process and was able to help me with my questions or make things work. When we came in for our tasting, he made it an elegant and tasty experience as he showed us our options. I appreciated that Froelichs was able to make brunch and mimosas happen for my ladies while we were getting ready. Then, our baker personally delivered our cake and tried to make sure the cake and the cake table looked perfect. Everyone loved our dessert table. They were so tasty that they got eaten up!

We stopped by on a weekday morning. I had the chorizo burrito, a cinnamon roll (couldn't resist) and an iced coffee. They'll bring your food to you if you sit outside. I've been known to be pretty easy to please in the food department, but all the same I loved everything here and devoured it all quickly. Plus, the iced coffee with plain cream was great, which is something I've been experiencing more and more lately, so that's always a plus.

Do not sleep on the blueberry Danish and truffle bars. The sun tea is outstanding, had to go back for more the next day! Nice outdoor deck to enjoy people watching. Friendly staff in a beautiful town.

Bought a 7in chocolate cake from there on-hand freezer for my fiance's birthday...it was absolutely delicious and well liked by all. I bought it on a Thursday (kept in freezer) and thawed and eaten on the following Wednesday...still moist, delicious and decadent. Also bought deviled eggs, 2 cookies, a strawberry pistachio slice, OMG chocolate cake slice, salted pecan bars and the crown candles(for the cake). Staff was very polite and all bakery items were delicious... Will definitely be back and would love to try the deli across the street sometimes. Looked up their event venue website as we are getting married June of 2022 but it was a bit over what we could spend. Definitely thinking of inquiring about their wedding cakes and dessert catering because everything was so delicious.

Drew was wonderful to work with for my recent wedding. We ordered a small 2 tier cake and cinnamon sugar brioche donuts. Everything was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Drew was easy to communicate with and made my vision a reality, including setting everything up without me even knowing they came! Also the carrot rum cake was to die for! Highly recommended for weddings.

Ordered the mixed berries and cream cake and it was fabulous! Family called it the “bougie” cake. Worth the price.

My wedding was at the beginning of August! Not knowing how the weather would be Andrew made sure he would keep in touch and we could plan accordingly! The weather turned out to be great with little humidity! We got three petite fake flavors and donuts! They were amazing!!!! I had so many guest raving at how delicious they were! I personally loved the cheesecake with the berries! The process with Andrew was smooth start to finish! We also got the bridal luncheon option whichever Andrew hand delivered himself! That too was delicious! I’m excited they have such a great storefront I can go back to and have the same treats that were served at my wedding! I would highly recommend them for your special day! Dining at Froehlich's is always a wonderful experience. Whether eating w family, friends or alone, the food, service and atmosphere always combine for a terrific visit. The bloody mary is currently served with a tasty pimento cheese sandwich. The ingredients are super fresh and the classic breakfast with peasant bread, two eggs and bacon is delicious. Froehlichs is a must visit on any trip to Harbor Country.

What a beautiful space! Sorry i didn't take a photo. Big open space, open kitchen! I've only eaten there once and for lunch but excellent service! We had 2 Froehlich's burgers, and the grilled cheese portobello special . All of us really liked the sandwiches! Tuesday's chef a little heavy handed on the pepper on the homemade potato chips...but it's not like we didn't eat every last one of them.

My weekly+ pastry and bagel stop. Peasant bread and fresh eggs. Breakfast sandwiches that make you wonder why the egg is so good. Fantastic kind employees. Please bring them more business so they expand hours!

A super cute and quaint bakery and kitchen shop. The food is well priced and fresh, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The ham and cheddar quiche had lots of bubbling cheese and the perfect crispy crust, and the strawberry Danish was incredible. Conveniently located off the highway and definitely worth a stop.

Amazing flavors, home made chips uniquely flavored, clean, everything we ordered was exceptional with exception of there alcoholic beverages. They put jam in there cocktails making them sweeter. It's nice to have specialty cocktails but they would do better to skip the jam.

Froelich's Bakery did the desserts for my sister's wedding last weekend - I think we all agreed they were the best desserts we have ever had at a wedding! The brunch we had the morning of the wedding was also mostly from Froelich's. The blueberry lemon muffins were a hit and oversized square donuts looked as good as they tasted!
