Red Moose Lodge

When we are in Baldwin the Red Moose Lodge is the only place we will stay at! We always know the rooms will be immaculate - seriously cleaner than our house. The property and rooms are well maintained. The owners are very accommodating and easy to communicate with and on-site if you need anything. We love that the rooms have a mini fridge and microwave - it is so helpful for us since we pack our own food when we travel. The wifi works well for my remote office needs. We love the convenience of the location - couldn’t get any better - the Pere Marquette river is in your backyard there. There’s even a community room with books, board games and a complimentary breakfast and hot coffee. We highly recommend booking your Baldwin stay at the Red Moose !

Came to Baldwin to ride the trails. Owners were very helpful with trail and parking information. The motel is small but that is part of the up north charm. You can tell they work hard at keeping things updated and clean. It was very hot and humid while we were there and it was great to have an air conditioned room. We will differently come back.

The rooms at this motel are extremely good, very clean, and always something new every time I stay.

My family group has been staying with the owners of the Red Moose Lodge 1-2 times yearly for the past 20 years for spring Steelhead fishing and/or fall Salmon fishing. We have come to know them personally. They take great pride in their properties and work nonstop to make improvements and provide a very clean and quiet experience for their guests. My husband and I stayed in #2, the king room and it was spacious and cozy. The grounds are beautiful and the owners were great. The rooms are decorated with thought and there is even a stuffed moose to greet you when you walk in. Painted rocks all over the place, be sure to walk around! You can tell that a lot of love and work was put into this little Baldwin gem. This was our first time staying here and I would do it again.

We recently had an excellent stay for a few nights at the Red Moose Lodge. Our room and bathroom was spotless - extremely clean. You can certainly tell lots of care and thought go into the rooms from not only the cleanliness but the decor as well. It’s so cute and cozy! The entire property is welcoming and very well maintained. There is strong cell service on the property as well as fast wifi. Excellent customer service. We highly recommend booking time on the river with Clint through the lodge while you are here - his knowledge, expertise, kindness and passion for fishing will guarantee you a great day on the river!

The place is really cute inside and out. Rooms are small but work for what you need.

Excellent experience, wonderful place. Our room had a DVD player and there was a large library of DVDs in the common area. The Pere Marquette river runs silently by the garden, tranquil and engrossing. What a gem.

We stayed in their off site 2 bedroom cabin. It was much nicer than expected. Very clean and updated. Not your typical old cabin. Very cute and nicely decorated. Fully furnished kitchen ready to cook anything you desire. I had forgotten to grab my salt and pepper, no worries, it was there along with other various seasonings. It is nestled not far from the lodge on a private lot with plenty of room for our vehicles and snowmobile trailers. Not a bad ride to the main trials. I suggest taking the 2 track road from the cabin up to M-37 and ride north to the trail sign before town. Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow to ride but the cabin was great! We would stay there again, for sure.

Spent three days in Baldwin fishing. The Red Moose was ideal for a stay in the area. Very clean and comfortable.

My experience with the Red Moose Lodge was fantastic from the first call, until checkout. The property owner was gracious, kind and made everything so easy! It was the perfect place to stay in Baldwin when fishing the Pere Marquette or visiting the area.

We had a wounderful time at the red moose lodge! The owners were friendly and inviting making it feel like home. It has a beautiful view of the river right on the property with comfortable seating to enjoy it. We enjoyed a nice soke in the hot tub. The rooms and the grounds were spotless with a rustic view. We will definitely recommend and stay again. Was a perfect setting for a weekend get away. Thank you very much!

Awesome place. It's right by the Pere Marquette river at Baldwin. Rooms are great. We stayed in a unit with a fully equipped kitchenette. I recommend that one for a family of 4. Breakfast room is awesome. They have a play ground and a hot tub as well as bonfire. Great place for a quick family getaway.

This is my favorite place to stay in Baldwin. If you want to see how beautiful it is, look up their website on the internet. Clean fresh woodsy decorated rooms. Fabulous knotty pine lodge room with coffee pot fired up early morning. Continental breakfast with fresh fruits, danishes and cereal with wild animal mounts on the wall. This place is very well cared for and undergoes constant upgrading. Nice hot tub also.

Stayed here for a night. It's a very clean and well maintained place. There is an air conditioner, heat and tv inside . Bed is decent. They also had a bunch of DVD s to choose from. The property had river flowing beside it and a swing right in front of the river. You could sit and just watch the river flow. Very peaceful. Due to the pandemic they were not serving breakfast.

We stayed there in July 2019. Nice grounds, and mini common lodge area. Groomed outdoor area right on the river. Room was exactly what I'd expect from a motel in northern lower Michigan, and I mean that in a good way. Clean and functional, with a cabin in the woods feel. Very, very, reasonably priced. When in the Baldwin area again, RML will be our first choice.

My 12 year old son and I stayed at the Red Moose Lodge on a last minute trip and couldn't have been happier. The room was big and very clean and the overall feel of the lodge was a fisherman's dream. The walk down to the stream to watch the rising trout took about 10 seconds and my son and I both enjoyed it at night and the early morning. I can't say enough about the quality of this little hidden gem. I'm recommending it to all of my friends (fishermen and non-fishermen alike).

72nd st House was clean. So much room. Great having a full kitchen with pretty much everything you would need. Do not have more than 6 people there. Listen to the owners.

This is a great place to stay the owners are awesome with great customer service! The rooms are beautifully decorated, cozy and clean! They offer a hot tub, free WiFi and continental breakfast along with housekeeping services! Would definitely recommend this gorgeous hideaway to anyone!

My family had a great time staying at the red moose lodge. The room was very clean and cozy!! It's right on the river beautiful view! The owners were very nice. We will definitely be staying here again!!
